I had a day to spare this morning so I figured I'd draw Scootaloo (as you do).  Drew Scootaloo, without much effort at all. The drawing turned out OK and I was bored so then I opened up Paint.NET. This is a product of what I've been working on today... It's not much and the lines are pretty awkward but I'm not great at using graphics softwares.

That looks really cool. I'm not good with PDN, but my gf is. *Is a non-artistic pony* I just can't seem to ever get hair looking the way I want it to... I dunno... maybe it's just something I gotta work on more.

Really like what you did with the background, she stands out really well from it :D! In fact the colors in this piece make Scoot stand out really well.

 

This is a lot better then anything I could do on paint.NET great job :), I know you have said that the lines need tightening up to improve but that will come with practice especially with paint.NET the more you use it the more niffty stuff you will find and your work will get ALOT better :).

Thanks bro, this is one of my better creations so I can't say all my drawings are this good. Time and effort is all that's too it really, I'm sure your not that bad. /)

Thanks to everyone who responded to this post, I appreciate the feedback. Just for comparison heres the original sketch that I based this on.

I love it, you've captured the great cuteness of Scootaloo inside of one image...well okay maybe I over reacted a little bit there it's really great but not the best thing out there. Still my good friend you did a good job on this one.

That's really good!  I like your style.  You really did the mane well.  One thing that I didn't like is the choice of background in the picture. Not that big of a deal, just doesn't go well with the orange.

Ah, that comes with practice friend. It's also why I like using graphics software because it allows me to be a lot neater. I'm not very good at circles either...

I doubt anyone is good at circles but what I mean is I can't draw a cartoon penguin without making it look like a pig it stinks

This is something I also noticed after I looked at it. I shall take this into account in future, I personally find opposite (contrasting) colours a little harsh on the eyes. Definitely something I could improve on, thanks.

Reminds me of my self, I'm really critical with my art as well. But trust me when I say your probably not as bad as you think you are. laugh.png

Only thing I'd suggest is making the eyes a little rounder.

Actually working on something right now... Something a little different, I've always loved Fluttershy's eyes so it's mostly inspired by that. Thanks for the feedack. laugh.png

Ooh, me gusta. img-1411040-1-smile.png I like this. You're right, this does look a little awkward on Paint.NET, but the original looks great! I really like this, this makes me happy. Scootaloo is one of my favorites. <3

Scoots' always makes me happy..... I love her relationship with Rainbow Dash, she's most definitely best CMC in my opinion. Very appropriate use of the term "Me gusta". img-1411040-2-huh.png
