The Media Discussion is awfully quiet today...

I'll post some Skramz to kick some life into this section

By they way, what genre would categorize this song to? They call themselves Skramz, and it does sound like Screamo, but.... different. I love this band nevertheless

Sounds kind of interesting, I really have no idea what to call it, like I mean the vocals sound Screamo, but the instrumentation is kind of weird sounding, still a cool band though.

I much prefer to listen to something like this:

I prefer my Metalcore with more of a heavier edge to it, though Atreyu's older stuff was decent compared to most other Melodic Metalcore bands.

Hey, Moog, you should listen to The Saddest Landscape. They are not nowhere as scream-ish as other Skramz bands, but they are quite refreshing. The vocalist kicks so much ass

Japanese hardcore/emo/screamo that's a little atypical from some screamo you've probably heard. This is side A of a two-song EP, "Afterall, the Opinion of One in a Hundred Million Will Not Reach Anyone" which is probably the best of their material.

Yes, it's a bit different, but holy dam did I like it. Are there any other good Japanese hardcore bands that you recommend?

Posting some Kobra Khan. They are pretty darn good

Reviving my thread with some Shikari (NOT Enter Shikari) an awesome Skramz band that's good for the days when you wanna punch a hole in the wall

Wait a minute, if you try to make a new post while being the last person to post in the thread, your new post should only get merged with your previous one. How did you manage to bypass this?

Cryptic shit aside, I'll post some Skramz. Closure is pretty dam good band

If you post again after a day or 2 then it doesn't merge, it only merges if you post on the same day, and yeah that Closure song was pretty good.

Have some of The Chariot

You kind of do post often here, and anyways William Bonney is cool.

Leaving some Knut here, quite the underrated Mathcore band.

I listened to Challenger last night, and man was it a good album.

Well, yea the only one posting here lately are you and me, so in that sense, I do post often. However, I only post like once a day or once every few days.

Also, that Knut track was godly. I'm checking out Challenger very soon

I'm not sure if I've posted this song before, but the title is pretty accurate.

Hmm yeah I've noticed that we're the only ones on this thread still, and also yeah I'm pretty sure that you've already posted that pg.99 song.

Leaving some more of The Chariot, I've been listening to their music quite a bit nowadays

Garage rock/emo stuff that just came out at the start of this month. It's quite good for a debut album so I'm excited to see where these guys go from here.

I've just started listening to Cave In, they're one of the original Metalcore bands, and a pretty good one for sure, definitely gonna have to listen to their full album.

I'm really digging this song lately.

Leaving some good ol' Hardcore Punk here in form of Inside Out. For the longest time, I had no idea that Zack de la Rocha was the singer of Inside Out. The vocalist sounded very familiar though

Wait you mean Zach de la Rocha from Rage Against the Machine??? I had no idea he was in a hardcore punk band .-.

Yup, that Zach de la Rocha from RATM. His stuff in Inside Out is really good

That aside, I saw Moog posting some Grindcore, so I'll do it as well

You can't get tired of this one

Awesome song from Grace Gale. Ah, it's been a while since I listened to some good ol' hardcore. I still love the stuff, but I've been more into other genres as of late.

I've been blasting Chaos is Me all morning, it's some really tense shit breh :V

And for the sake of variety, I'll post some Her Breath On Glass. It sounds a bit like The Saddest Landscape, perhaps because some of the members of that band is a part of this one. I recommend them
