One of the best screamo/emo bands (and albums) of recent years. They're not total recycled twinkly core. Srsly, bands like that are flooding the genre right now.

Only plebs don't feel to this album.

This thread needs more Slint. I mean, seriously, nobody has posted them yet

Spiderland is a masterpiece, I don't think anyone can argue about that

These guys are a hardcore band? By what stretch of the imagination?

Anyway, I don't see how Spiderland is a masterpiece. It's great, but how is it the best thing ever?

Wait... I'm in the Hardcore thread? How could I missclick so terribly? *eternal shame*

But they do have some Post-Hardcore into the mix though nearly nothing, so I guess it still kind of qualifies to this thread

And a "masterpiece" doesn't mean it's the best thing ever, but I personally believe it's magnificent. Emotions mang, that piece has lots and lots of them

While I'm here, I could just spam Rorschach

I figured that I was the only one who listens to Rorschach here

Anyways, I didn't listen to much Hardcore recently (surprisingly) so I figured that I might as well throw on pg.99

Anyone else here who listens to Combatwoundedveteran? I highly recommend their album (they only have one). I swear, I just feel like punching a hole in the wall when I listen to these guys

I'd say that this is my favorite song off of this album. Maybe I should try out TDEP.

TDEP is some top notch Mathcore fo' sure, a must listen in my opinion. Miss Machine, One of Us is the Killer and Calculating Infinity are their best albums IMO

I've been listening to Home Ties like mad recently, but besides that, I got into some Repulsion. Amazing band to say the least, great Grindcore

People apparently label them as Death and Thrash Metal too? Oh well

This was the hardest band for me to get into, but eventually I did get into them, and now I've been really digging Underoath, they've quickly become a favorite of mine

Their older stuff is also great too, I should probably listen to the full album, since I love the title-track so much

We need some Bad Brains here. Their self titled album is probably my favorite Hardcore Punk album of all time. So fast, aggressive and noisy. I adore the riffs in this album, they are so fun to listen to

Dat album was one hell of a feelsy album

Going to post this amazing song, not much I can say about it other than it's really amazing. It's some great screamo/post-hardcore.

I still need to listen to that album, I should probably do that sometime soon, since I've heard that it's a good one

CODE ORANGE KIDS.

I expected this to be a sort of melodic album, but I was swiftly kicked in the ass by ENERGY. Reminds me of Loma Prieta more than anything.

I now regret putting off Code Orange Kids for so long, fuck I've been missing out on quite the band

Anyways I didn't really listen to much Hardcore anytime recently, though I did listen to Vein, it has a more Crust Punk-type sound to it, I love it.

  • 4 weeks later...

So I've decided to revive this thread again, I dunno why, I guess I just wanna revive it

The more I listen to it the more I realize that O' God The Aftermath is best Norma Jean album, It's slightly better than Redeemer, but who knows the next day I might end up changing my opinion, it sounds very Botch-ish

How bout some speedcore?

The only Hardcore electronic genre that I like is Breakcore, I've tried but I can't get into Speedcore, Terrorcore, Lolicore or any other Hardcore electronic genre, the music isn't bad,, but it just doesn't do much for me.

I do love venetian snares!

but yeah, I'm a fan of breakcore as well...speedcore isn't for everyone that's for sure...like...really...there's such a small following for it...this is about as big as speedcore events get most of the time

yeah...

but I still like it XD

(and yes...the "dancing" in the vid is one of the funniest/weirdest thing's you'll ever see in your life...)
