technology Need some keyboard and mouse help

So, my current set is kind of on the road to breaking completely. And honestly, the keyboard, I've had for a year.and came standard with my computer. My mouse is equally a year old and it has seen things.

So I need replacements. For the mouse I want to have a new one similar to my current one (the Razer DeathAdder). I will probably buy this one myself, but I wonder what others think for this option.

I mostly need a new keyboard. I have no sodding clue here. And honestly I need something relatively affordable and preferably Europe friendly in terms of buying.

Currently I am losing functionality, a and o keys getting stuck.

You should check out the IBM model M for a keyboard. They're old, and cheap, but they're some of the best keyboards ever made. Dem switches.

Well if you have the money you could get that $80.00 keyboard from alienware, but really, a keyboard is a keyboard. I would just get one like this, as I have something similar and it has lasted about 6 years now without an issue, and I use it for all my modern games.

Get a fancy ergonomic keyboard with a built in backlight, god knows how many times I've had to retype my password after fumbling with the keys in the dark.

And it's hard to go wrong with any kind of modern mouse, I personally find those giant gaudy ones with the ball on type to be terribly annoying to hold.

Keyboards, my love to thee.  The one I currently use is Metadot's Das Ultimate.  It is a mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Blue keycaps (which click VERY loudly) and sports uninscripted keys.  Yes, they keys are blank.  So, if you're a hunt-and-pecker, don't get this.  One step down is the Das Proffesional, which also sports the Cherry MX Blue keycaps.  The difference being that there is inscriptions so you can get this if you are a hunt-and-pecker.  The keyboard is good for all around use and doesn't have any macro keys if you game a bit.  It's simplistic and aims to have exactly what you're wishing for.  The old IMBs with a modern look.  The only lights here are the lights that signify caps lock, number lock, and scroll lock.  It also provides 2 USB slots on the keyboard with it's own power.  Yes, there are two USBs to plug in, which are spliced from one cable.

It can be found here:

There are others out there which I have not used such as the Razer BlackWidow with similar specifications.  (the BlackWidow has backlit keys, 5 macro keys, and weighs 3.3 lbs.)  Other brands I would recommend checking out is Logitech and SteelSeries.

Hope this helps!
