Hello Bronies,

 

I have some troubling news to report. One of my favorite show, Futurama has been cancelled. This is so sad, because I've loved it since it first came on, and it's cancelled once again .

 

Are any of you guys bumbed about this? I mean, it had original characters, a great story, and Zoidberg!

Lol this is what? the 3rd time at least that Futurama has been cancelled?  Never been a huge fan of the show but I realize it's appeal and feel sorry for the fans of the show.

That's too bad. Futurama had a good run - even coming back from the dead, but all good things must come to an end. All you can do is keep the memories and preserve them.

I really will miss the show very much. I feel bad for the fans, and besides the show needed more Zoidberg. I don't really know why it was canceled.

I think it's kinda funny because Futurama(I need get the new seasons watched sometime) is far better then the Simpsons, yet the Simpsons is the one that seems to be immortal by TV programming standards.

It's a shame, to be sure. It really was one of the few "adult cartoons" that really bothered to be truly creative (and with the setting of the far future, how could it not be creative?). Its sense of humor was dead-on 99% of the time, as opposed to shows like Family Guy which are often very hit-and-miss in the joke department.

 

But in a way, it's probably for the best. It seems most shows that run for as long as Futurama tend to lose their luster, so maybe this is just the perfect example of a show quitting while it's ahead. I'd rather see it go out with dignity than go the "let's beat a dead horse" route.

Don't worry everypony, at least we still have fantastic shows like Jersey Shore, Pawn Stars, Swamp People, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, The Desperate Housewives of Whatever, and many more all time favorites to keep us entertained!!!

I'm disappointed it's yet again been cancelled, Futuramas one of the best adult cartoon shows out there and one of my faverite shows ever. It had a fantastic plot, storyline and characters, really original to not just another cartoon about the American family.

Actually, I never really watched the new episodes of it. I'd love to see the end resolve of the show, like if Fry ends up wih Leela and such......

Wait, has that already happened? Did they get together in the newer episodes?

Yeah, I haven't watched Futurama for a while.... . XD

Point is, I'm not too sad about it now. I probably will be when I watch the last episode, however

I wouldn't usually post in a topic like this, but the name grabbed my attention.

 

Out of all the shows to destroy, why mutilate a show such as Futurama. Why not destroy/murder some other dorky television show that is equally pointless. I am appalled by such actions, even though I rarely believe anything I see via some parts of the internet. I am also to lazy to check the ever-reliable Wikipedia page containing information about the great show Futurama, so I guess until the great Bender Bending Rodriguez dubs the show to be canceled, IT WILL LIVE ON. Because I rule the universe.

As someone that owns every episode and voraciously supported its comeback, all I can say is about time. They had a good run and should quit while they're ahead.

 

Besides, we still have the second half of season 7 to look forward to before the end, and who knows, maybe Netflix will pick it up like they did with Arrested Development.

 

 

I bet the series ends with Fry proposing to Leela.

Every show has to come to an end at some point in time, nothing last forever, but in the hearts of the fans. Thats what's going to hapen to MLP it's going to end but the true fans will keep it alive.

I find it kind of sad it got cancelled, but its been dead to me for awhile since the newest season came out. It had a good run but I could tell it didn't have much longer because of this season which has been pretty lame by futurama standards.

Aww that sucks. Haven't been watching it that much recently though, but it's still pretty sad.

 

Although...

 

In a way, thank god this is happening. Don't get me wrong, I loved the show myself, but although it was great, but it started to slide a little, and it's good to see them pull the plug before it slid even more. The last thing Futurama needs is a case of The Simpsons syndrome.

Seriously, this is one of the few animated television shows I still watch! I never really got into the Simpsons, Family Guy, or South Park, but Futurama really stuck with me when I first watched it, and it's become one of my favorite TV shows ever.

I actually had only just recently started to realize how long Futurama has been around and be surprised that it managed to keep going. I guess that's out the window now. I never really watched it much for some reason, but I know a lot of people really liked it and it's a shame that it's over now, but of course it had to end eventually.

Somewhere I do feel a crushing disappointment, but for the most part I'm not. I've seen the newer episodes and they really haven't done the original Futurama justice. They aren't anywhere near as funny, for the most part, and they're just kind of weird. So, with much sadness, I have to say that perhaps it really is time to just end it.
