Ted 2, Oh My God, it was funny, but I didn't like all the Hasbro Product Placement and how Negatively it depicted bronies. It was hilarious though. Ted 1 had my favourite racing game Daytona in it.

Watched Gojira a few nights ago. Not Godzilla: king of the monsters, the bastardized american re-cut with Raymond Burr, I'm talking about Gojira. The original had more footage, more suspense, more tension, more dread, an expanded musical score by Akira Ifukube, and just more expression than the american dub/cut could offer. You actually got a look at Japan, how their culture & society would react and view such a monster, and you felt for the nation when Gojira came bearing down upon them. You saw the destruction, the plight, the sorrow of each character and you felt the impact. 

 

All the american cut did was bring another generic monster movie to the states. The original had a deeper message, about the horrors of nuclear war. It's a shame more people haven't seen it. It's one of the best movies I've ever seen.

Ip Man. I was not expecting Cantonese so I took relief whenever Chinese was spoken but it was a good movie overall with refreshing fight scenes and a strong lead.

 

Next up is Casablanca.

I watched Unfriended yesterday cause curiosity got the better of me I was interested in knowing whether such an unusual movie technique would give a good result....and surprisingly it did  

 

Basically to those of you who haven't heard of this it's a movie that came out this year that takes place completely on a computer screen. All that's shown is a Skype video chat between friends and the main character using Facebook, Google, iMessage and other things. As I mentioned before, this is quite unusual for a movie, but given the complete prominence of social media in this day and age it was bound to happen, but here's the thing, this movie is classified as a "horror".

 

I'd say it's more of a creepy thriller and while the death scenes were a little stupid and some parts did seem to drag I surprisingly had this unnerving sense of fear and dread after watching it. It's something I didn't expect but it came I'm guessing from the fact that the internet has become a part of my daily existence, and seeing it being used in such a malicious way scared me  It felt so good to be able to come on the forums and not receive any creepy and threatening Facebook or Skype messages
