Elio (2025) is still my last movie seen.  Have you gotten to it Dreamy?

How to Train Your Dragon (2025) *MORE SPOILERS* Watching this, I found myself wondering, how can a movie that’s almost a scene-for-scene, word-for-word remake of the glorious original, be such a total pile of crap? Dean DeBlois directed both the original animated movie (along with Chris Sanders) as well as this live action version (without Sanders). And yet, despite the fact that every scene is almost an exact duplicate of the original, right down to the smallest details, the new movie completely lacks all the sharp, clear storytelling of its predecessor, and its characters are completely devoid of charisma or talent. They apparently cast their movie from the vast talent pool of the local high school and left it at that. With the exception of Stoick the Vast, played by Gerard Butler in both movies, the cast was flaccid and desperate. I guess when they decided to make their ‘Vikings’ more socially and racially diverse, they typically destroyed the integrity of the performances and deference to the characters. and the rest of the movie tanked along with it. The result was joyless, dull and irritating, with many of the scenes ranking as pale shadows of the original animated counterparts. I’m not even sure why they re-made the original, considering it had the most realistic CG animation of any animated film I’ve seen, and looked better than the live action version. If this was just a (successful) money grab, fine. But Get Chris Sanders back because Dean DeBlois was not the apparent talent behind the first, if this new movie is any indication. 4/10

Since you put it that way, defend the animated original with a freshly crafted lightsaber @Dreambiscuit.  I'll be by your side:please:  I worry if the remake's sequel is gonna botch and mess up that movie's villain.

You saying those last 3 words there, I laughed so loud:laugh: that I wondered if I could contain the noise in a metal bucket:pinkie-laugh:

@ZiggWheelsManning No I haven't seen it. I'll wait till it gets on streaming before I tackle it. It probably won't take long.

My latest:

Titanic (1997) I know this movie is popular, and I have seen it many times myself, but to be honest I think it’s time to deposit this one at the bottom of my dvd collection. James Cameron has skill as a director, but as with so many directors, writers and producers he gets so caught up with promoting his own personal politics that it damages the art he’s trying to create. This movie could have, and should have, been so much better. But in using a historical backdrop to promote modern social proclivities, it demeans the real people involved, many of whom died heroically, and reduces them to unflattering caricatures. The fictional modern characters placed in the historic setting stick out like a sore thumb and constantly distract from the setting and any semblance of watchable narrative. In short, art and politics don’t mix, and James Cameron ought to know better. 4/10

Inside Out 2 (2024) The only really good Pixar movie in a long time, and recapturing some of the magic of the original. It’s not as sad as the first one, which can be a good thing. Solid and fun with some great new characters. 8/10

Wreck It Ralph (2012) When I watch the original ideas for this movie its amazing to see how perfect the final product came out. They trimmed a lot of junk from the original script and what they kept was pure gold. It’s smart, well-paced and tight. 9.5/10

Since I'm listening to Confused Matthew's review of this movie, you're correct of everything that many and I can't stand of this James Cameron craftwork.  $10 mentioned by Jack, I don't want it.  I'm on the same page as you are @Dreambiscuit:Flutter-wink:  The Titanic's demise is only in the background.  Wondering what you think of Tom Cruise's grand finale in Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning.
