Oh dude, why didn't I think of that one? (Kicking myself)

I'm going to add Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth, easily one of my all time favorite albums of the 80's.

Well now not only do we have My Bloody Valentine on the list now, but there's Sonic Youth too? I facepalm at the fact of how I didn't think of nominating any of their albums. Anyways last nomination from me, and I'd like Red Cities, Dead Seas & Lost Ghosts by M83 added onto the list. It's personally my favorite album by them and it sucks at how inaccessible it is.

Daydream Nation is a masterpiece, I would recemmend it to pretty much anybody. I'm also surprised you didn't mention Nine Inch Nails.

Anyways, my last nomination for today will be Meat Is Murder by The Smiths. An absolute classic.

Our list is coming out great, better than I expected.

Blah, everyone's heard Nine Inch Nails before, I wanna get stuff that's not as well known up there on the list, with the exception of Aphex Twin.

And also I only wanted to get Amnesiac on there because it was such an under rated album by Radiohead, a lot of Radiohead fans haven't even heard of that albums existence.

I was also trying to the same thing, that's why I chose Carcass and Bathory. But, I couldn't resist adding Nevermind and Meat Is Murder.

Alright, I took a break from nominating, so I'm back :P

Anyways, my next nomination will be "Ten" by Pearl Jam, my favorite PJ album of all time

So far, this list has only one Rush album. Guess I'll nominate another Rush album, 2112, which is my 2nd favorite album by them (after Hemispheres which is already on this list)

My next addition is going to be "The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place" by post-rock masters Explosions in the Sky. Haven't heard much from them, but this I like.

So, I guess I'm going to be the only one nominating Dubstep albums here...

Bleh, anyways, I'll be nominating "My Sound" by Kromestar

I'll be dubstep nominator number two and nominate Burial's classic, "Untrue." I don't wanna leave Hetfield in the dark or anything like that.

Once again, I have updated the list.

I'm going to make a nomination for The Velvet Underground & Nico by The Velvet Underground. My favorite album of the 1960's.

My next nomination goes out to Break the Cycle by Staind. Another solid album in my book.

Also please fix Dark Side of the Moon to 1973 when it was originally released. Please

Ironically, I was just listening to the song "Fade to Black" lol XD

"...And Justice For All" is my favorite Metallica album, personally. smile.png

What a coincidence ^_^ . AJFA is my second favorite and, IMHO, the most underrated of their first five albums. Probably because it's sandwiched between Master of Puppets and the Black Album

Are you just saying that or are you nominating ...And Justice For All? Because I can add it if you want. BTW, I've always found AJFA to be it proggy compared to Metallica's first three albums.

I've never understood the term "Progressive" in music. Could you explain?

Anyway, I'll just give in and nominate "Master of Puppets" even though I think it's overrated...

He can't do that, as that is not the original version of the album on the list. But anyways I've got another album to leave off on the list Wildlife by La Dispute.

I've never understood the term "Progressive" in music. Could you explain?

Progressive music is music that adds a greater number of influences and outside ideas than more traditional music. For example, Pink Floyd's use of saxophone solos on "Shine On You Crazy Diamond," "Us and Them," and "Money," or the use of electronic music elements in many progressive metal acts, such as Periphery or the Devin Townsend Project.

And now I'll nominate Steve Reich's "Music for 18 Musicians."

I'll nominate "Favorite Worst Nightmare" by Arctic Monkeys. Not the biggest indie fan, but this list really lacks any indie albums at all

OH THANK YOU FOR REMINDING ME THAT INDIE IS A THING. I'll nominate Neutral Milk Hotel's "In the Aeroplane over the Sea," my favorite indie album (and everyone else's favorite too).

I'm not all too fond of Children Collide, but "The Long Now" is really good album, it'll also add some indie goodness in that list :P

I request that we have some Black Metal albums on the list. How about Two Hunters by Wolves In The Throne Room, to start it all off.

Nice, we needed some more black metal. I'm going to nominate Panzerfaust by Darkthrone, keep the black metal binge going.

I'll update the list as soon as I go on my computer.

EDIT: I just updated the list.

Let's see, what should I nominated next? Guess i'll add another Beatles album. Since Abbey Road is already on the list, I'll add the White Album (actually it's called "The Beatles" but everyone calls it the White Album)

I'm going to make one more nomination today, it's going to be Blackwater Park by Opeth. Because I really like Opeth, a lot.

I swear if you guys nominate another Metallica album...

I'm going to go a little old school and say Michael Jackson's Thriller.  This guy was a *god* in the 80s, and for good reason.  It's pop, but it's pop *gold*.

I think it's great that you chose a pop album, it keeps the list diverse ;) The more diverse the list is, the better.

That being said, I think the list could use a little more punk. I swear this will be final nomination for today, I'm going to nominate Never Mind the Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols by The Sex Pistols. I'm surprised nobody mentioned this album, it being well know and all...

Speaking of MJ, I'll nominate his second best album, Bad, it's anything but. (sorry for lame joke)

About time a pop album was added to the list. it was getting way too metal heavy (sorry again for another lame joke)

A lot of the metal albums were by me lol, I feel kinda guilty about it xD

And like I said before, I'm not going to nominate anything until tomorrow.
