So, according to parents the newer generation of MLP is sexual because of their sleak design. WHAT THE ACTUAL BUCK? This makes no sense, is it because of their eyelashes? And look, it says that the ponies are ready for their stripper poles. Ponies could never...SWEETIE BELLE STOP!

Hahaha yea I saw this on EQD today, too. One thing you have to remember is it is a Yahoo article. They'll run just about anything. I looked at some of the comments and most people disagreed with the oversexualized pony theory. I'd chalk this one up to a slow news day.

These soccer-moms will always find something to knit-pick about so it shouldn't come as a surprise at this point that one of these backwards nutcases will take a show like MLP and find it to be sexual, no matter how ridiculous the notion is. It's actually really normal for children of that age to being going through things regarding sex. Masturbation  the beginnings of sexual identity, how they're supposed to look at sex. Parents don't come out and use the words sex, but if children are harshly reprimanded at this stage in their development for taking interest in things like their private parts or 'funny feelings' will be the building blocks for how comfortable they are with their sexuality as life goes on.

 

Now, the idea CHILDREN are being sexually stimulated by the sleek designs of these ponies is ridiculous. These lessons they're learning are subconscious, not outright and children aren't getting stimulated by ponies, if they are they most certainly don't understand what that means and are not acting on it. That usually doesn't start until their preteens.

 

Adults viewing the characters as sexual is totally plausible. Their designed to be more human like so that kids can more easily relate to them as humans, big eyes, slender bodies, hair styles for their manes and tails, but that same thing makes them relatable 

and sometimes desirable to adults.

Wow... these parents who come up with this crap make me want to facepalm. I'm a parent myself (well, technically parent-to-be cause my baby won't be born until September) and I've never understood the logic of these extremist soccer moms. Their way of thinking actually pisses me off. There are far worse shows out there that kids could be watching. MLP:FIM is a brilliant family show, quite possibly the best family show ever made. It doesn't deserve to be shit all over like this.

Well technically any that is anthropomorphic has been sexualized, I mean the more human we make the more attractive it will be to us. Not that this is always true I can think of some examples where a humanize e pony is just terrifying, but generally the closer to human the sexier. And I would say yeah the new generation is more relatable and humanized, soooo yeah I guess they are right.... In the same way that Mount Rushmore is more sexual than a cliff face

I mean just look at the parents of today, when i was what, 11 Years old the parents ofo the other kids in my school was to afraid to let their kids be at home for 1 Hour at the morning for themselves cause everything we wanted was an hour off during the morning.
