Is this a good idea for a FanFic

I'm thinking of writing a fanfiction about a love story between Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash is a stallion and Pinkie Pie is a mare. Dash has a crush on Pinkie Pie but does not know how tell her and does not want to make things awkward between them. Basically at the end of the middle or towards the end they tell one another bout them having a crush on one another.

 

So how does that sound? I need feedback if its good or bad.

Sounds good, but I think you need to change the name so people won't think that the Rainbow Dash you mention is the mare Rainbow Dash.

 

You still can mention that the Rainbow Dash in your story is a stallion, but it may confuse the reader later. I think I've ever heard about a gender-swapped Rainbow Dash named Rainbow Blitz or something like that.

Okay thank you and I'll will try my VERY best not to confuse the reader. I might change Rainbow Dash's name I dont know yet. This helped alot

I agree with Sky warden, if you do this I'd change Rainbows name to avoid confuse.

 

Or else just go ahead and do the story with them both as stallions.

 

Nothing wrong with shipping story though, plenty of them out there, and when done right can be pretty good, and even kinda cute I think.

BUT! I forgot to mention this! Declare that your stallion is the gender-swapped version of Rainbow Dash so people won't say that your stallion is just... a cheap OC (recolour, etc).

 

Also, the most important is the storyline though. That's what will hook the readers.

Im going to write it in Pinkie Pie's point of view. While I was going to Sugarcube corner I saw a Rainbow tail peaking throw the bush. I thought to myself what in Equestria is in that bush?

Sounds like a good idea. You should do whatever you feel comfortable on making, then plan it out from there. As long as you know what your doing, you will be fine.

Okay I'll let you see the first chapter when I get done with it. Its going to be ready around this weekend.
