So I have been practicing, practicing, practicing in my artistry, so I figured it was about time I shared a bit, and catalog the ongoing experience, and perhaps get some feedback, if you all would be so kind.

 

I have been doing this for about a week or so, but I guess I'll just count today as "Day 1"

 

So, this is my OC pony, I gave him a scarf; I am still not sure about what to think of its color, though.

I must say I rather like your OC! HE looks like he'd be charming... Not sure what about him makes me thing that I just do! I rather like the drawing/colouring style and the shading you've done really makes him stand out

Alright, dawn of the second day.

 

Decided to do a few firsts for myself:

 

• First time I have drawn Rarity/Sweetie Belle/ANY Unicorn at all.
• First time I drew two ponies posing together
• Because of their coat color, I had to use a black background and draw in white, seriously screwed with my head, never have I been good at additive value.

Alrighty, second piece of the day!

Once again it is my OC, who I have now bestowed the name Curious, and I won't go into much detail here but his special talent is Learning(specifically through observation and analysis,not so much a book worm), and he applies that talent as a Private Detective!

 

Trying different expressions, this one I was going for "Intrigued" or "Fascinated".

Also, tried to do the texture for the wing differently to differentiate more from his coat of fur.

 

P.S. My hand hurts now, I think I'll wait till tomorrow to do anything more.

So, I know I said I would wait till tomorrow to do anymore, but...

my OCD got the better of me.

I could not let that last piece stand as it was!

 

My thumb is now quite sore and my stylus' nib is noticeably smaller than last time I checked.

 

On the bright side I think I leveled up.

And just for good measure, I made it into a signature for me to use.

 

I have never really made a signature before, but whatever, I think it turned out alright for a first try, though if you have more experience, I would love some critique!

Okay, one final edit for this picture, I am done, done with it, never want to touch it again, it has driven me to madness.

 

*ahem*

 

I reworked the wings so that they are smoother, but it still retains a good texture.
