Hey guys! I just threw together my super-short EP that I just Self-titled. You guys can check it out on my Bandcamp page, or just visit here. It's free to download, but any donations are greatly appreciated. I would actually just hold off on any donations though, (As if I'm going to get any, haha) until I reassure my Paypal is working properly. Feedback would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Well i'm normally not a big one for electronic stuff, but it seems like you did a pretty good job on this, it was pleasantly suprising for someone who doesn't normally listening to electronic stuff, so yeah i'd say its a good job, although I didn't listen to all the songs, infact I'm just listening to the 3rd one, but ya know still :P.

I can't really critique, I don't know enough about electronic stuff really to critique, but yeah it sounds good to me, so a job well done to you sir :).

Thank you for the kind words, sir! I realy appreciate it, being i need to confidence to keep pushing myself into learning electronic software. I'm a traditional musician normally, playing the Bass Guitar, so this is a change up for me. It also doesn't help that i'm limited to the demo version of FL Studio and all its plugins, but I hope to save up for the full versions as soon as possible. Once again, Thank you for the comment! smile.png

You have potential, that's for sure. You have all the main requirements for an Electronic song. I recommend you search tutorials on Youtube on volume control, EQ, and mastering although. I also think you could add more layers to your track, and sidechain the synths to the kick. It sounds somewhat empty so far, so I do think you'd need more layers. You should also try finding some good sample packs for transition effects, for they make your track sound better. Vengeance Samples are good. I really think you could improve by so much, so I give you my best regards. Good luck~

Your 3rd track, "Thrive or die trying" could really use a LP EQ on that snare, set at maybe 15-17 Khz with a sharp cutoff?  The snare is really bright, and hurts at high levels, so check that out.

Also, I feel like these synths are somewhat thin, if you applied some parallel compression with high makeup gain, it would really pull out your synths, something to think about.
If you're unfamiliar with compression, you could also just EQ out some of your synths, that also helps bring out some better sounds too.

I also want you to start thinking about panning.  You can really broaden and widen a sound by de-tuning the L/R channels slightly, and adding some panning to your percussion/leads.

Try adding some sound FX to your drum kits too!  Like some very slight delays, or even some reverb.

Overall I think you did a pretty good job with your structuring and composition, you just need to work on some mastering and post-production techniques!
Keep at it dude, if I find your soundcloud I'll subscribe!

Thank you so much, guys!

I will definitely keep working on my techniques, and all of your advice will be looked into, that's for sure.

The mastering has always been the difficult part for me, but I will practice and look up plenty of tutorials for that!
