Cloud nodded, accepting her apology, he looked toward the mountains that she indicated, "That may be our best option as of now, let's get going..." He then stood up and got ready to go, grabbing the leftover firewood from the previous night for when he would need to build a fire again...

Blanc nodded and would grab the apples she had placed on the ground earlier once they passed by them, she stayed silent while they were walking, mostly just in thought about various things. From time to time she would look at Cloud, trying to guess what he's thinking.

Cloud walked in silence, not really having anything to say. He noticed her glancing at him occasionaly, "So..." he said, trying to make conversation to break the silence, but couldnt think of anything...

Blanc guessed what he tried to do so she just spoke out what was on her mind, "How do you think did we end up here? And why us? And nopony else?"

"I... I cant really remember... I think... I remember being at the Canterlot magic school, making my delivery runs, and I had to walk in on one of the classes during a spell practicing session to make my delivery...

Blanc would listen and the nod, "Hmm... that would make sense, and if they were practicing teleportation... but who ever did it must have been really powerful.", or at least not alone... she though, they were nearing the mountains but they still have some walking to do.

"Im not sure if you were in there too, but the next thing I remember, I was falling, and for some reason couldnt move, I blacked out before I hit the ground I think" said Cloud as he tried to remember. He saw a large overhang as they neared the mountains, he nodded toward it, and walked in that direction...

Blanc now saw it too, "Nice.", she then simply said and would walk over to it, "I really really really hope it's stable...", she gulped, not wanting that it would fall onto them during the night or anything.

Cloud looked around the overhang, pushing against the supports that held it and testing its strength, he was always good a determine the soundness of a structure, "It seems stable, We're good here" he responded. He looked up and saw that the sun was already beginning to go down, "We need to find a source of water before the sun goes down"...

"Water.. water... wait, wasn't there a forest not far away? I'm sure there is some water there.", she nodded, and looked back from where they came.

Cloud nodded, "Let's find a stream near here, it is better to find running water in a stream than standing water in some pond" Cloud turned and headed in the direction of the forest, keeping his eyes looking for a nearby stream...

"Of course.", she answered him, and would then follow him, it started to get colder too, with the sun getting deeper and deeper. "I hope we find one soon...", she then said lowly.

As much as Cloud didnt like this mare, he couldnt help but feel sorry for her, giving a small smile, he playfully nudged her saying, "Chin up now, we have to think positive in a time like this"...

Blanc would look at his hoof as he nudged her and then back at him, raising an eyebrow, "I'm just being realistic... we HAVE to find water soon... and how long are we supposed to hold out here? Days? Weeks? Months?", she felt ill by just thinking about that, "And that is in the best case .. anything could live out here... watching us, waiting for us to sleep or get weak, and then pounce on us."

Cloud rolled his eyes at the failed attempt to lighten her spirits, "I dont know how long we're gonna be out here, and if it makes you feel any better, we can take turns keeping watch at night, but most creatures dont come near fire". Cloud's ears twitched as he heard running water nearby, soon enough, they came across a small running stream not far from where they were staying...

"Well, I'm not so sure about that...", she didn't want to risk anything... As soon as she saw the water, she quickly trotted towards it, looking at it, it seemed to be normal, so she started to drink, finally, as she had been quite thirsty... "Phew.", she then said, almost gasping for air. "So now we have what one could call a shelter, and water... I wonder if there are Apples not far away.", even if an only apple diet made her feel weird.

Cloud shrugged, "We have enough apples to last us the rest of the night, we can search for food tomorrow" he began to shiver as well, the cold was biting into him once more, after he drank he said, "Come on, I'll get a fire started"...

Blanc nodded and would follow him, after a while she then asked, "How is your wing?", it was the first time she actually asked him if he was okay.

Cloud was surprised by her question, Is she really asking out of niceness?, "Uh... its fine, kinda sore but at least it's back in the right place... thanks for asking... Are... you doing... okay?" he tried to return the remark, feeling it was right to do...

Blanc nodded, "I'm okay I guess... even if... cold.", she felt like a solid block of ice. Once they were back under the overhang she would let herself drop on the ground. "Coold.", she just mumbled under her breath.

Cloud agreed with Blanc, he was freezing as well, besides fire, the next best way to stay warm is... body heat... he quickly shook his head, clearing his mind of the thoughts, Yeah, and she'd just as soon smack me if I told her that... they reached the overhang and Cloud built up another fire, using another lock of his tail to start it, "If we dont find another source of tinder soon, I might lose my tail" he said jokingly, hoping to at least make her laugh...

Blanc was not in the mood to laugh right now, "I'm sure we can find some tomorrow.", her voice was rather weak, she seemed to be at her limits. She crept towards the fire, trying to warm up a bit. For now she would just look into the fire, hoping it would grow soon.

The fire soon increased to a good sized inferno, giving off good warmth, Cloud laid down, grabbing an apple from the pile and bit into it, "Now I guess we just need the marshmallows huh?" he said

Blanc chuckled feebly as life slowly came back into her. She soon stopped shivering and would try to sit up. "Thank you for the fire...", she then told him.

Cloud smiled his first genuine smile at Blanc, "You're welcome" he replied. He didnt like the silence, so he looked into the fire while asking "So, what all did you do in Ponyville? Its funny how I know you but at the same time I dont"
