I enjoyed the anime when i was younger, for quite a while, then lost interest.

I kinda picked it up again a while ago, but i'm only on like episode 192 or something.. Idk ;p, far from the end.

Do not try the anime again. Don't. They ruin the feels of the movies. They have continuity errors that made me sad :( I mean, they have another Jirachi! In the one episode I viewed that was in Japanese, there was a Jirachi there. :'( Ash made me super pissed me off for that reason. Really, he looked up what a JIRACHI was.

The feels died Friday for the movie when I realized that a Jirachi can randomly come out from its sleep. Randomly.

Hm, i dunno they haven't done alot for me, although i haven't been compelled to watch em much as of late.

I still quite enjoy the movies though, the movies are alot better then the actual episodes, the episodes are all mostly just ok to sometimes good.

I may just watch the movies instead ;p.

I used to be all hyped for the movies. I watched the whole movie with Jirachi like 10 times that one year alone. Then in that weird series that Japan has named Best Wishes series or something like that (She has 2 Kalos pokemon, the ground type that was released and Gogoat) came in and destroyed canon. I think it was named best wishes. Anyways, apparently something happens and they all sleep outside in a canyon like area (or somewhere rocky like such). When they sleep, Pikachu and I think Axew if I remember from yesterday, tried making Jirachi happy or something. It just popped out of no where. No meteor shower or anything. It kills the whole movie...

It also doesn't help that many of the characters that Ash is with don't bring anything new. (Misty was great, May is fine, Dawn entertains, she's one of the better more child like of the female cast, no lie. She's good enough I can relate to her. Now Iris pissed me off~. She repeats several lines and then calls Ash a child when her axew is a fail of a dragon type. Knows only two moves. Piplup and Torchic knew more.

Wait what did I say?

Fennekin, Charmander, Torchic. GET ON MY LEVEL.

... And make sure you only bring grass types when you get on my level, k? And no teaching them non-grass type moves.

How about my ninetails with Hidden power: Earth? ;) Is that allowed?

But in all seriousness, I hardly use any grass types. I only use a few as walls, like Meganium, Serperior, or Venusaur are great walls. I just have a higher preference to water, dragon, ice, and rock pokemon. And they typically offer everything I need in a team. Walls, stealth rocks, and some sweepers :).

Well, honestly, I'm more thane excited about X and Y coming out, I mean way more excited than I should be, but there's one flaw I find with the game, at the start where you pick a new starter, and a gen one starter, that's where it sort of just destroys it for me, call me a hipster all you want for me thinking this, but Gen one... apart from Gengar, and Alakazam, is just terrible... It holds nostalgia, sure, but I hate when one gen just gets all the hype, ffs, there's better pokemon out there than Charizard and Pikachu, find something else... It just annoys the shit out of me, and a lot of OU pokemon are Gen one pokemon, I just don't like when something gets more hype than it really deserves, other than that, I find the game to be quite perfect, I for sure probably won't be using the Gen one starter when I get the game, or I may pick Bulbasaur and use him... Maybe.

And I find it odd that there's so many pokemon getting Mega-Evolutions, though Kalos pokemon won't be.

Personally, there isn't any pokemon that appeal to me all so much other than Fennekin, and maybe Meowstic, if it got an evolution.

Gen 1 is where it all began, so there's always gonna be lots of love for them. It laid the foundation for all future versions and was the first region where many were immersed in the Pokemon world. Sure, it can seem over-hyped by some adamant admirers, but that's goes for just about anything.

Alakazam's my favorite from gen 1, so a Mega evolution for him would be awesome XD

As for the Kalos Pokemon being left out, it's for the best. Mega forms would overshadow their debut in X and Y. Only after we've grown accustomed to, and appreciate them on their own, can Mega evolutions work their magic.

Well it's fair enough in that sense, of course, though it's over-hyped, everyone stats the starters are the best out of all, and all the pokemon are ubers, It's bullshit, Look at Gen 3 and 4, there's so many better pokemon that came out of those gens than one, other than Arcanine, and the others I stated before, it's just... Over-hyped as hell, and I don't like it, Pokemon like Altaria, where it's not hyped, it where I'm at, I could be a hipster in that sense.

And Well, he sadly isn't, there's been a list of all of them, If I'm correct, and Alakazam wasn't on it... :/

And Well, that's quite true, it's a good idea by gamefreak to do it, but I guess, they might add some in the future via events and all.

More or less, the hype just reflects how popular they are with those people. When someone declares something "the best", I interpret that as "my favorite". If they love gen one that much, let 'em celebrate it. There are those who bash later generations within that celebration, but it's their loss. If they can't find something worthwhile beyond it, that just limits their enjoyment. Hating one based on love for the other is empty, but that's a topic for another time.

Anyhow, it's too bad that Alakazam won't receive one. He would've been the elite sweeper on my psychic team...well, more than he already is img-1895267-1-tongue.png

I haven't followed the news in too much detail, so I'm not sure on specifics. Looking forward to whatever else they have in store for us.

I use a good bit of grass types ;p. I enjoy using them, although being that i use starters that are grass type alot maybe thats why.

Outside of starters actually i'm not sure how many i've used...

Still i enjoy using them, they're fun to be crafty with and are very helpful for catching pokemon with.

Or maybe i'm biased because i like them for generally being green...

I'm pretty pumped to.

And i dunno my feelings on the second starters thing, if anything i have odd with it, its just it'll be odd having two starters.

But i'll see how it works out.

I don't hate gen 1, it has plenty of good pokemon i like, however i do think it is a bit overrated in my opinion and clouded by nostalgia. When the other gens have plenty of great things within them.

Frankly though being the pokemon fan i am i'd play practically any pokemon game just because its pokemon ;p.

I think the reason megaevolutions aren't on Kalos pokemon is because they want to have mega evolutions re interest people in older pokemon, or something, i think somebody supplied a reason, but i forget...

I quite like a good bit of the pokemon so far, but as far as what i know I want on my team I'm not totally sure, i'm getting fennekin in my first playthrough atleast, and I'm getting Sylveon, or maybe another evolution if another one I really like comes out, but other then that i'm not decided quite yet.

I can never stick with one team, I make multiple different teams with different playstyles. I like having a Sunny day team, or a hail themed team once in a while. I like having status effect teams, and some quirky ones.

I love all the pokemon, and I have to use them all in different ways.

Definitely agree with you there. I spent a lot of time creating alternate teams (psychic, ghost, and many other), but none remain to show for it tongue.png

Transferring Pokemon between games wasn't something I did. Plus, I restarted most of them when I felt bored.

Now that online battles have more appeal, and everything's amplified in X and Y, I'll be recreating all my ideal teams..and then some.

It's gonna be awesome!

I don't stick with one team as far as in multiple playthroughs, but i do stick through the game with one team.

I haven't actually done any real themed teams for playing through the game.

Maybe i will sometime.

I transfer mine, well except when i was younger, but more recently i transfer them all because i like to collect them and stuff.

I get attached to the different pokemon i get i guess, and want to keep them all ;p.

Of course when i was younger i just restarted, and infact lost some event pokemon to, which sucks ;/.

I did restart my games though, but i transfer pokemon first.

And yeah X and Y is gonna be sweet.

I transfer any pokemon I can. Especially my shiny pokemon. I have a Shiny charizard, Vaporeon, Dragonite, and Garchomp that will be with me forever thanks to the Pokemon bank.

But most of my pokemon that i have are Ev trained, and have been with me for many years. They have fond memories with them, and I can't leave some of them behind. They just mean too much to me.

Yeah, same here, well except i don't have any shines(except red garayadose) :/. But I do like to keep my pokemon with me.

And pokemon bank sounds like a pretty awesome thing for me to store all my pokemon, and never lose them.

Plus when I have children and stop playing pokemon I can pass them down to my children and be like. "Here. Take these pokemon... they will serve you well.."

Maybe i'll leave it to my children in my will....

idk xD.

Regardless sounds cool, i think i may pay for it long as its effective.

That's the heart of a master trainer.

I didn't develop that level of love for them until recently. Despite playing every version (save for Platinum, White, and White 2), following the anime, playing the card game, Pokemon birthdays, and being Ash for Halloween, I never considered myself a "Pokemon fan"....I probably didn't think in those terms as a kid though. I just did what I liked. Looking back, it's quite a presence in my childhood.

After beating the main story and completing extra tasks, I didn't know what to do with it. Would either stop playing until a new one came out or the urge to restart arose. Even in the more recent games (after I learned about EVs and the rest), battling other trainers wasn't on my mind.

Had some well-trained partners in Black, but gave it to a friend. I still have Black 2 though, so a few are around. For the most part though, I'll have a fresh start in Kalos; where I'll debut as a life-long trainer.

Having a super storage system will help big time! I'll enjoy re-catching them all.

The new features really help nurture the connection between trainer and Pokemon. Many ways to play and grow. It's something special alright.

Passing on your Poke-pals sounds solid. Bridging the gap between generations on an even larger scale. A meaningful memento for a fellow fan.

Hard to imagine what form the games will take by then, but we have the means to keep our Pokemon around. yay.png

Yeah like i said i restarted my games without transfering alot when i was younger.

Even lost my event pokemon, like mew, and deoxsys and shaymin and some other stuff.

Not to mention during my hitatus of pokemon i missed all the black and white pokemon events.

But yeah, now i keep them all.

I've played basically all the pokemon games though, even quite a bit of off series ones.

I'm gonna be playing the crap outta X and Y regardless.

Yeah having a super storage system helps ;p, i dunno if i'll be able to catch them all, but i'll certainly try!

Yeah haha, assuming my kids can get into video games and pokemon.

And yeah haha, at this rate there will be like 10k pokemon xD.

LONG LIVE POKEMON!!!!!

I'm gonna be a pokemon fan quite a while ;p.

Yeah I agree, I like mostly every Pokémon in their own way. I've trained so many Pokémon since I've learned to properly do so that I can't help but switch it up often. Sure, there are definitely some I like to use together more than others, but no one team is perfect so it's fun to see what works and what doesn't for me. :)

Here's a small sampling of my collection:

Sweet :D.

And i like alot of pokemon, even if i've yet to have time to use each one in a team, but i do change it up and use different ones as much as I can.

As far as through the main story my team is consistent to the end basically, but if we're talking competitive, well i don't really do competitive anymore.

And looks pretty cool! I need to transfer my pokemon up to gen 5 and into gen 6 when it comes out of course.

Mine are still in platinum gen 4 mostly right now.

Thanks! Yeah I don't really do competitive play either, but I do try to raise my Pokémon to that standard since it's not hard for me. And yeah, I definitely usually have a consistent main story team as well, kinda weird not to lol.

Thanks for sharing this list. It's awesome seeing who Mega evolves. Quite a few names I'm especially excited to see. They covered the iconic one's pretty well.

Everyone on my psychic team gets one (save for the two from Kalos), so I'll have fun alternating Megas. Only thing left is to decide on their names.....that's always the hardest part :P

Haha, No problem, I'm not all too sure if they're confirmed, but the list seems pretty decent, that those are the ones that will, though they add some like Dunsparce. Needs an Evolution.

And Well, yes, I've noticed that, and well, the names aren't always too hard, depending on the pokemon, some pokemon I always have a name for like my Raichu is always Cornelius.

Haha. If it's not the list, it should be XD  It feels right smile.png

I recall Dunsparce was impressive in a later version. A solid wall with roost and other great moves. Will be nice to see him get some more love.

And yeah. There are a select few Pokemon that I've settled on a name for: Alakazam is Satoru, Lucario is Noboru, Clefable is Mavis, and Gengar is Zeref. The last two are from Fairy Tail; reflecting the (speculated) relationship between both pairs. The others are the japanese name and surname I've used in other places.

I'll likely name myself Karu as usual; Starlight doesn't suit the context of the game quite right....might convince myself otherwise though. Naming Gardevoir after Princess Cadance is another consideration, but having Cadence fight feels strange wacko.png  If I view it all as friendly competition it's easier to use those names.

Yes, it should.

Also, it was, it'd be great to see another version it gets ignored a lot, and it'd be great to see used so much more.

And great nicknames actually, last two caught my eye, I'm quite the fairytail fan, and Nice actually.

And I normally name myself Talon for absolutely no reason at all, I just seem to... And it seems like a good idea, but also a bad idea, since Gardevoir isn't really exactly based off a Feminine Character, after time it was made to be one, but it really isn't, but it could work.

Also, some new news, if it hasn't been shared with you all yet.

Mega Charizard X has been revealed, I'm not sure if it's good or bad, but finally, Charizard has become a Fire/Dragon Type, what people always wanted, but the thing is, does that mean all starters get an X and Y Mega Evolution? If so, that could be a deal-breaker since they could easily screw up.

I mentioned this before, but I still don't believe that "leaked" chart showing which pokemon get mega evolutions. Maybe everyone else disagrees with my logic, or maybe they just haven't thought of it, but the chart includes Zangoose but not Seviper, when those two pokemon were clearly set up as rivals in their original games.

Unless, maybe the leaked chart was for mega-evolutions in ONE of the games, while the other game gets a different set. We have seen quite a few game-differentiated mega-evolutions so that's a possibility.
