Well, you know...

This is my self-made template.

 

 

 

 

And this is my first "detailed", (very) blurred blueprint.   

 

 

 

 

All I use for this is paper, pencil (later crayons), sense of proportion and a few screenshots on my screen.... and several hours of my time. 

 

I'm a drawing-noob, but I can learn and I try to improve myself until I can draw without cribbing.

 

I'll update this topic until I have a kimono-wearing, crayon-colored, perfect Gilda.

this looks really well done for a template, you don't see very many people put this much detail into the templates at all and its refreshing to see new artists evolve especially when they are not using pc's to do there art soo my friend well done keep going and the end result will looks amazing

Pha, You clearly never met viking Gilda...

Lets see:

-Beak needs to be slightly smaller

-neck might look better a bit slimmer right under the head

-There should be some fluffiness going on at the transition from feathers to birdlegs

-The inner featherline on the wings need some reworking

-The katana looks a bit too curved
