Octavia vs. Octavia

Big Macintosh, having won by a landslide against the bane of all ponies, known as Big Mac, an iconic hamburger on Earth and a nightmare to the ponies, proved himself valiant and strong-willed. Now it's the second round of who's the true Octavia.

 

 

Octavia, a well-known musician in Canterlot, is a mare earth pony with pure elegance and style, especially with her very own cello to make prestigious songs at Octavia's hooves. Her reputation as a cellist in Canterlot proves that she is one-of-a-kind, matching along with DJ-PON3 (or Vinyl Scratch), and the fan-favorite Lyra Heartstrings. Octavia's challenger, however, goes by the name identical to her own, but not a pony, but rather; a machine. Mystified, how will her reputation fare up against a machine with an identical name?

 

 

A machine made by man, Octavia, or known as Škoda Octavia on Earth, or specifically, the Czech Republic, is a vehicle made to drive on the asphalt road with striking elegance and sporting its luxurious appearance. Its overall pristine appearance and good speed and handling makes it worthwhile... or would it? The vehicle, unlike ponies in Equestria, has wheels instead of hooves, which can be proven at a disadvantage, especially with a pony of the same name, who is also a skilled cellist from Canterlot, ponders around the machine. How would a machine fare against a pony with the same name?

 

Who will be the true Octavia? The pony with sheer elegance and strong will with her majestic cello, along with her incredible musician skills, or the prestigious machine built for speed and takes the lap of luxury to a new level? You decide.

 

(And yes, this is also the idea I got from the Big Mac (the Stallion) vs. Big Mac (the Burger) thread two days ago, so this one would be quite similar to it, don't you think? )

I admit, I´d choose Octavia, our beloved classical music lover and cellist.

Skoda isn´t my favourite brand of cars, though the Skoda Octavia has a sporty version (using the VW Golf GTI engine) what is not to be looked down upon.

For me it´s the pony, still :3.

I don't care for automobiles. I think they're handy, but I honestly only care if the car runs. I couldn't care less what brand it is, and how "cool" it looks. Just my opinion

I sort of like these threads... but back on topic!

 

The pony for me is the victor! While the car is very nice, I feel it doesn't have nearly the same level of elegance. The pony is defeated in the area of speed, however, the car is defeated hands down in the area of sound. A roaring engine vs the sounds of a cello, I think we have a clear winner.

 

... Plus, this penny pincher here doesnt know the gas milage of that car.

Octavia is one of my favourite background characters in the show, and also happens to play one of my favorite instruments.

 

I don't care much for cars.

I am really not into cars all that much and I'll be honest with you, I've never even heard of the Škoda brand of automobiles anyway.

I have seen a Skoda Octavia 2013 in real life, it was a beautiful red coloured car.. I have a thing for red coloured cars, very nice looking car and I would say at a decent price too. I never thought I would like Skoda, but after seeing that car I truly did examine it with an open mind.. They in the Czech Republic seem to be learning fast how to make decent cars. The police cars here are some Skoda Octavias older versions, I liked it when I sat in one, they were showcasing the car. The setup was very nice, so I can only imagine that the newer one is even better. They seem to be the type of cars you would take off-road and nothing would happen to it. Just very strong and solid looking cars, I know that I would be ready to buy one and I have talked to older people that agree that Skoda has now become very good cars, although Skoda have been known to be good cars or some of them. The cop cars in my country look badass when they turn the lights on. Seriously you get scared, the car just look like it's going to kick your ass, very aggressive looking cars.

 

You didn't mention what type of Octavia, since you say it is fast I'm guessing you're talking about Skoda Octavia vRS with 217 bhp I could do that. 6.8 seconds is fast, 154 mph or 258 kph.. Yeah I like those figures. 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, it sounds like fun to me, if it is at a good price then it's a car that I would totally go for. Especially that look, it just looks awesome. All those potentials.. That car will look awesome if I get my hooves *cough* hands on it. So Octavia is awesome, but the truth is I like cars just as much as I like ponies.. So I'll choose the car, that way I have a car that has her name on it but still a car.. So for me it's a win-win situation.

 

So I'm going to pick the car, sorry I just like that car.. It was beautiful, it's better in person. Skoda might not be my favorite brand, but that car deserves to be added to my collection. It's just overall a nice looking car, very lovely car.

I have to choose Octavia the pony. The car is cool too, but you can actually listen to Octavia play her cello for you and maybe even be friends with her in the pony world. You can't be friends with a car. She is elegant and amazing, a car is just cool looking. No car beats Octavia!!

Octavia's got some real nice lines and a fabulous rear end to look at. Octavia is quite awesome as well. It's a tough choice,but I have to go with my gut and say Octavia.

So, at first I was kind of split between the cellist and the car, since I do enjoy cars a decent bit. While Octavia the pony is one of my favorite background ponies, being a 19 year old without a nice looking car was swaying me towards the Skoda...until I saw the station wagon version. God, that back end looks ridiculous. I would rather have a Volvo than that.
