Aw! You paint better than I do, that's for sure! Well, um, where do I start.

Perhaps you could've used better blending colors with RD in compare to the background. I would imagine if everything around her is orange, she'd have a slightly orange hue, right?

Otherwise, awesome job on the trees and everything!

I actually really like it, the acrylics look really nice with Rainbow. I also really like the color scheme for the background behind Rainbow.

She looks really good though, I love it good job :).

Very nice job! I particularly love the colors, orange was a great choice in background to contrast with Dashie's color scheme. Very show accurate and 100% adorable! Kudos to you, my friend

Thank you everyone with the comments. :3

Also im not sure how i would do the orange hue thing. I was thinking of doing it but then I realized that i had no idea on how to do it. XD Im just still learning it all, I guess.

Oh no, It's fine. It really takes practice. It just a suggestion, I suppose. CX You did a wonderful job already. You should be very proud.

Looks good, I made an acrylic painting once and I totally messed up the colours.. Was always going to fix it, but never felt like it. Making a painting is a lot harder then creating a normal drawing. I created a Fluttershy one, anyway great job.

Yeah, fluttershy is really hard to get the colors right on. I tried to paint her as well and I dont think it looks too good. XD

Also does anyone know how much I could sell this for? I'm not expecting much, but I would really love to sell some artwork for others to enjoy it as much as I do. Its a pretty large canvas. I would figure out exactly but im sorta lazy. XD I will if it really matters though. :3

Lovely painting, that's one gorgeous sky you got going on there.

Maybe add an outline to Dashy's left hindleg, at the moment its a bit tricky to tell where the leg ends and the tail starts.

The curve of the nose nneds some work.

Also the realistic look for the trees seems at odds with Dash, but that might just be me.

Thank you~. I will add that outline as well as fix the trees, as I realized that also. :3 Thanks for your critique, I'll try to improve.

How much you can sell it for depends on how large the canvas is. If it's 18x24" or so, I think $30 to $50 is reasonable. There are no notable flaws in the style (those wings look great), and the clean lineart is a nice touch.

To raise the value, I suggest working on more interesting/engaging backgrounds, and tying in the background to make sure Rainbow looks like she's in the environment, rather than flying past a backdrop (to do this, I recommend adding background colors to her, like orange highlights, and if the grass is brown, then that color would be reflecting onto her as well). Inversely, make sure to add Rainbow's colors to the background so that it ties in with her. Some greenish leaves, some bluish rivers, some purplish shadows, anything you want.

I also must warn you about tangents, such as Rainbow's elbow or back legs. This tutorial thing is filled with great tips for painting with colors. :)

Overall, you're among the best painters I've seen around here, so keep up the good work!

Thank you much for the detailed response! I will try not to make any more tangents, I wasn't very well aware of that. And thanks for the tutorial.
