To me I think Duck Dynasty is just a show about stereotypical rednecks, nothing more. I honestly just don't see it's purpose.
The comments about the show can be either positive or negative.

I hate it so much. Who wants to spend all their time watching rednecks do stupid stuff? Hint: not me. If you like it, that's fine and dandy, but not me. It's too generic and too dumb.

My father watches it and it's one of the more idiotic shows ever. I despise it with every fiber of my being; just another stupid redneck show that serves no purpose except to entertain the easily-entertained.

Fine, well I happen to like it. It's one of those shows I can turn to for a good laugh. There stupid, idiotic, rich people, but they sure can be funny. Find it wrong if you want to, but I happen to like laughing at rednecks who are rich and have no idea what they are doing.

I've never seen it, and I really wouldn't care to. The concept of "reality" shows is something I'm not too fond of. Never really got the point of them.

Although I've gotten countless people tell me I should be on the show, solely because of how I look. But I'm smarter than them, and they know and respect that.

I have not seen it, I don't want to. I am sick of these brainless reality TV shows. What is this particular one even about? A bunch of moron redneck stereotypes shooting ducks and acting stupid? Do we really need another show like this? Swamp People was already atrocious enough.

 

It is shows like this that make me hate American television, for the most part. There are good things, but the sheer popularity of the garbage that is there has to mean something, and it is not good.

I don't watch it, or much TV at all for that matter, but I don't hate it. It's just another show, and if people enjoy it like the ratings show, then so be it.

Eh, I dunno honestly, I've never watched it, I've heard about it, but never watched it. And honestly since I've never watched it it'd be a bit hypocritical of me to be judgmental of it. Without having seen it.

 

So I guess I'd have to watch it before saying much.

 

Then again I hardly watch TV. so i dunno if i'll bother with it .

I watched one episode and I didn't care for it, the show pertained to none of my interests, but it's a lot better than Honey Boo Boo.

I've watched a few episodes and coming from a small town in Indiana, it's very popular around my parts. I can agree with you that is is a show aimed towards blue-collar workers of a more redneck descent, but I don't really hate the show for that. I do however, hate the staged feel of everything... it's horrid. A lot of fans of it that I've talked with are oblivious to this somehow. Eh, overall just another annoying show giving more money to those doing what anyone could do.

My brother adores it. But if I wanted to watch smart rednecks doing dumb redneck stuff for television, I'd go watch Tim Hawkins. Personally, I can't stand the show, but to each their own.
