Twilight had been visiting her teacher Celestia herself. Taking time off from royal duties Celestia, along with her younger sister Luna. Although Luna was being quite grumpy about being up in the morning but it seemed like something else had been bothering her. Celestia and Twilight were too preoccupied with enjoying the day to notice. The day went by quickly with the three of them ending up back at the castle, it was there that the real problem was. Luna had been hiding something all day and while the three of them were enjoying some tea a dark figure made its way into the throne room. The shadow moved closer and closer until it was within jumping distance. It was then that Luna felt the presence, something familiar, something evil. Neither of the Princesses could react in time, luckily Twilight pushed Luna out of the way absorbing the nightmare essence. Twilight could feel the darkness seeping into her being, trying to control her, but she managed to keep it suppressed inside her. “I can control it.” She said reassuring the princesses that everything was fine and that it was under control.

 

Twilight was able to hold the Nightmare energy in until night when it would invade her dreams. Trying to convince her that her friends were all against her, and that her powers were growing out of control. The restless night started taking their toll on Twilight. Twilight held strong knowing her friends would never hate her that was until three weeks after she absorbed the Nightmare energy. During one of her spells the worst thing happened, the spell backfired. The spell knocked the wind out of some of her friends but some weren’t so lucky. Spike and the CMC had been the closest to the blast injuring them pretty badly. AJ, Rarity, and RD were furious at Twilight having already expressed their concern for Twilight even performing the spell. They said that they couldn’t trust her and that she was dangerous along with her magic. The resulting incident shattered Twilight’s heart allowing the Nightmare energy in and completely corrupting her. Twilight vanished soon after her transformation and stayed on the moon only a few days before starting her march on Equestria. Cadence and Shining fought back but were no match for her, having to retreat to Canterlot. Both Luna and Celestia were injured while attempting to fight Twilight. Now they’ve enlisted the rest of her friends even though they still hold some resentment for her as well as a group of ponies to aid them in the fight to get to Twilight.

 

Snow was heading out of the castle after being summoned by the princesses to help keep the harmony users safe on their mission to save Twilight. Snow walked into the garden waiting for the rest of the group to show up when he saw AJ walking in talking to herself. "I don't know why I gotta help save Twilight I should be at home takin care of ma sister. Her magic is dangerous and this situation proves it." Snow glared at AJ confused as to why she was acting so mean.

Tempest stood on the highest point of Canterlot. He sighed as he stopped meditating. "I hope this works out. There has to be a way to end all of this madness." He thought, before jumping off the pillar and gliding to the ground. The cyan pegesus then landed and waited for the other ponies who were given letters to arrive.

Frost was sitting in his room cleaning his collectible swords as he watched the news report talk about the latest attack from the nightmare forces in Equestria "Hm, this doesn't look like its gonna stop, but there must be something that they can do."

Fireblaze was in his mountain home, as he was thinking as this happen and he was sadden too. Now it not a good day for Equestria, as this day became worst and he have to make sure the remaining element of harmony is safe so they can free Twilight. So this way hope everything be back to normal and thinking. He do wan't to know how dose a nightmare works and why they do this? *Mom or Dad wish I have some answers and I hope this day will be fine*

Shadow slowly walked into Canterlot when she noticed Snow. She smiled and trotted towards said pony. "Hey. My name is Shadow. Who're you?" The grey unicorn didn't exactly know why she was here. She wasn't exactly a fighter. "I just hope that somepony made the right choice." She thought.

Fluttershy came in right behind Applejack, a frown across her face due to the events that have occurred up until this point. She understood AJ's, Rarity's and Rainbow Dash's anger the day the incident occurred ,but she knew everypony made mistakes every once in a while, even Twilight. The CMC and Spike were merely victims of circumstance.

 

"I hope we can free Twilight without hurting her." Fluttershy mumbled quietly.

AJ looked back at Fluttershy with a glare, "No Fluttershy! Twilight knew that she wasn't well to perform that spell but she just had to show it to all of us. Now my sister's gotta broken leg and cuts all over her from the blast." AJ yelled. She had never been so mad with one pony, but she did still care for Twilight and she deserved at least an attempt. "I'm sorry Fluttershy my emotions are just all mixed up right now. I got one of me tellin me to help Twilight and the other to just go home and forget about her."

 

Snow was listening in on the conversation between the two ponies when he heard somepony call to him. Snow turned to see a grey unicorn standing in front of him. "Oh.....hi.....I'm Snow. It's.....uh...nice to meet you Shadow." Snow wasn't sure what this new pony wanted from him maybe she was another member for the team to aid the harmony users. Snow only hoped that she was he knew the letters were being delivered to all the other ponies that were fit to help that weren't on the front lines fighting the nightmare forces.

Shadow nodded and sighed. "So, I guess you got the letter, as well. I honestly have no idea why I got one. I know very little about fighting and I'm not exactly that strong. I guess there is a reaon for me being here, though. I am smart, so that has to amount to something. She said.

"I better go, see the Princess too and I wounded were Dash is?" Then his mountain home open a hole, as he flew out into the air and then heading to the Canterlot castle. To meet the princess, others as he plan to help out and get Twilight back form the darkness that they took her in. *I hope the nightmares don't know that I am weak agents water*

Frost glanced over at the letter that was laying on his desk. " Why out of all the ponies did they pick me?" he thought. "The only skill set I have is hacking and reprogramming computers( well except for that blades course)." he chuckled to himself. He looked at the clock on the other side of the room. "Well, time to head to Canterlot to confirm this letter to the princesses." Frost exclaimed as he walked outside to catch a taxi carriage at the end of the street.

Rarity sighed, jumping into Applejack's and Fluttershy's conversation. "How are we even going to defeat her anyway? She already injured my dear sister and even royalty!" Rarity asked, levitating a couch over and lying down. "Oh, Sweetie Belle! I'm so worried!" She said dramatically. "

Rainbow Dash fallowed a few steps behind.

 

"I'm with Applejack on this one. What happens if another spell backfires. What if that had been Angel that had gotten hurt? Than would you feel different? She knew what she was getting into and that is that. Now not only has she put her friends in danger, but all of Equestria." Rainbow put her head down. "Look, I'm sorry for what I said, but sometimes the truth hurts. At least I know she would do the same for us if she was in her right mind."

Skycoaster approached, a group of ponies that seemed to have gotten the same letter that he had.

"So, it looks like we're part of the same team here. Name's Skycoaster, Nice to meet you. I just wonder why Celestia thinks we need a weather engineer on this expedition."

Frost got out of the carriage taxi at the first stop in Canterlot he hopped out to see a group of ponies holding the same letters he had received. He trotted up to them and smiled "You must be part of the team Celestia is putting together, I'm Frost your technical engineer I guess.

Fireblaze land in Canterlot, as he seeing every pony was there while looking at them and then he began to walk while looking around. Then thinking was this the right place since he got the letter form celestia and looking around. Blaze see every pony talking to each other since he wasn't that speaking and he was still quite while looking around some more too.

Redstorm was hyped. Celestia had chosen HIM for a dangerous mission! HIM! Out of all the options!

He liked when he was needed, plus, he couldn't just turn his back on the princess.

A group of ponies was walking below him, including Twilight's friends.

*Huh... I think that's the group that I'm supposed to go with... looks like I don't have to fly to the castle after all!*

A small 'thump' was heard when the red pegasus landed.

"Oh, um... I'm guessing this is the crew that is supposed to deal with evil Twi?" He asked, nopony in particular.

(Sorry for not posting again last night everypony crashed and was only checking through my phone but now it's time to play catch up and I'll post while I'm at work from my phone if I can.)

"Rarity stop being such a drama queen right now. I don't know how we're supposed to stop Twilight, or how the Elements of Harmony are supposed to help." AJ pulled out her element from her saddlebag, staring at it she gave a deep sigh putting it back into the bag when she heard Rainbow chime in. "You're right Rainbow Dash, but the thing is that Twilight's not in her right mind anymore all she wants is to destroy all of us and make this the Nightmare home."

 

Snow saw more and more ponies flocking in to join the group. He gave a deep sigh, it had been the Princesses choice to make him lead pony on this mission. He wanted to object since he wasn't a social pony but he couldn't say no to the rulers of equestria. "Hello Skycoaster, and you must be Frost and Redstorm. Welcome I guess......I'll explain everything once our last squad members get here. You there....you must be Fireblaze.....well come join in the group." Snow wasn't particuarlly fond of this situation but with the way it was going he could understand why all these ponies were being picked now.

Tempest noticed the group and trotted towards them. "So, you must be the group that's going to fight Twilight." He said. "I got the letter to. As for my name, you can just call me Tempest." The cyan pegesus then glanced at the element bearers and shrugged, before returning his attention back to the group.

Peace and quiet at last.

 

Twilight smiled as she watched her forces advance from the southern regions. After she had taken over Hive Chrysalis, she was able to turn most of them to her cause- the exceptions being Queen Chrysalis and a small, loyal band of changelings that had escaped before she could catch and subdue them. Now that she had a loyal base to sabotage defenses and gather information before he main forces attack and capture the city. And after that... "I'll make them pay for betraying me..." She giggled and settled back to watch the destruction...

 

The first city in her way to conquering all of Equestria was, inevitably, Ponyville. A simple town that was sitting on a hill that contained her old friend's home.

 

In other words, the perfect place to start her revenge.

Fireblaze heard the voice, as he turn and then he see a Snow talking to him. Then he nodding to him while looking at him some more and then saying something. "Yes I am Fireblaze, I also heard about the mission too and Sure." As he following Snow and others to the group while thinking about something and was looking at the sky too.

Rarity sighed, and took a deep breath to calm herself. "Look, Twilight is still our friend.. even if she did hurt Sweetie Belle.. and hurt Spikey-Wikey.. Oh forget it! She's a tyrant! We have to do something to revive her memory and restore peace in Equestria. But we have nothing we can do."

 

Minty finally arrived where she was supposed to meet the squad members. Minty gulped at the big crowd. She was never good at talking to new ponies.. "U-um, hi, I'm M-Minty.." Minty said, barely audible to anyone but herself.

"I don't even know why I'm laughing so much... I mean our friend is destroying this land..."

Redstorm sighed.

"You know... Luna and Celestia failed... so how are we supposed to do this? I understand you're the captain, after all so I'm asking you."

Fluttershy had an idea but was too scared to speak out in front of her friends. A few moments later she finally brought out the courage to speak.

"If only we could get Twilight to remember the good times we spent together, then I bet Twilight will stop this madness." Fluttershy spoke up to where everypony could hear her.

Snow watched as each pony gather to his growing group, Snow took into the air hovering off the ground. "Ok everypony the reason Celestia and Luna called us here is that we were chosen to aid the Harmony users in getting to Twilight. Many other ponies are signing up to be on the front lines to fight back against Nightmare Twilight so we're the best that can be round up." Snow knew that the princesses were pulling all of the able bodied ponies they could into fighting against Twilight. "The princesses believe that the other elements are the keep to breaking her from this darkness...but as you can tell..." Snow pointed over to the former friends of Twilight Sparkle, their anger towards her was still present. "All we can do is help them get to the moon. I know some of you aren't fighters but I know that you'll be able to hold your own if it came down to it. We also need to see how we can work to getting these friends back together with Twilight."

Fireblaze see the main 5 now since Twilight was not there, then seeing haft of them angry at Twilight but others not and he never see Dash angry before too. *Man I never see Rainbow Dash this angry, gust that Nightmare did made Twilight betray them and it do hurt Loyalty a lot too.* Blaze saying as he listing to Snow and then began to thinking about something too.

Rarity sat up. "That's it! You're right, Fluttershy! She was the pony who bonded us together in the first place! Fluttershy, you are BRILLIANT!" She said, pulling out her element and snapping it around her neck. "But it may not work. That's the problem. We need to be ensured that this will be foolproof."

 

Minty listened to Snow's speech, not even daring to utter a word.
