Don't you just love movie cliches? It's like when one movie does something so awsometacularly awesome, people don't want it to stop there, so they make the cliche live on in other movies. Anyways, I love em', so just post you're movie, and the cliche you love. Have fun!!! :D

The movie "The Matrix" has made so many other movies use slo-mo in insane ways, plus they can't stop parodying that movie....lol

HERE'S AN EXPLOSION!!!

Cliches, Cliches, Cliches.

They're everywhere, and no movie or video game is safe from using those.

I do enjoy them all, despite being overused at times.

  • Explosions.
  • Solo fights.
  • The double tap when finishing the job.
  • Saving the hero or villain.
  • Surviving brutal or impossible feats.
  • Backstabbers.
  • Talking trash.

I usually see these and enjoy them.

Here are some of my favorite movie cliches:

  • EXPLOSIONS, EXPLOSIONS EVERYWHERE. Personally...I love it.
  • The villain gives their big speech and therefore losing the battle by giving the hero enough time to act. I'm a sucker for speeches.
  • Young kids are always smarter than adults.
  • If a person knocks another out and takes their uniform, it will fit perfectly, irrespective of the relative size, sex or even species
  • A dam has only one purpose, to break.
  • Grenades are always given plenty of time to explode
  • A person waking from a nightmare will only have woken in reality about 10% of the time. Usually they're still having the nightmare.

But...there is one I despise...and that's:

Splitting up to look around...It REALLY makes me angry.

How about when there are two opposite-gender characters, and they always fall for each other in the end? That one annoys the heck out of me, most of the time.

Otherwise, I'm willing it to happen the entire movie.

The "walking away from an explosion without flinching or looking back" cliche should never be allowed to be used in a movie trailer.

Ever.

Again.

I have spent way to many hours on TV Tropes for this oh well here goes, a few I am particularity fond of are sci-fi westerns, exploding helicopters, high-speed car chases, opposite characters working together, scary monsters sneaking up right behind the good guy, people jumping out of windows, people jumping in windows, people falling through windows, and of course bar fights.

My overall favorite is when the protagonist has a friendly game chess with the enemy while the two simultaneously battle with wits and insults.

ZOINKS, SCOOB, THIS CLICHE IS TERRIBLE.

Well alright, to be fair, Scooby-Doo was around when that trope wasn't overly exhausted.

It's especially unbearable in horror flicks because it's a not-so-subtle way of saying "Look, someone's about to die, and this is the best plot device we can think of to make that happen."

-In action movies that have stuff like the fbi involved, they use super computers, and the people behind the computers type at the speed of light with out using the mouse, and get tons of information right away.

-Fancy places like restaurants, museums, ball rooms, and other things like that always end up getting destroyed by some kind of massive shootout, car crashes, bombs, or monsters.

-They always go out to eat at restaurants , take a few sips of their drink, talk talk talk talk, and don't even take a single bite out of their food. Most of the time one of the dates might get angry by an argument that they have, and storm off.

-boys given the role of teens are always cute, fit, and have perfect hair and eyes. Seriously... most teen boys are filled with acne, have socially awkwardness, or are fat (No need to offend anyone.)

-In action  movies, most of the time you have a badass female character that always wears red lipstick, has black hair, massive breasts, and always wears leather or latex black clothing.

-In super hero movies, almost no body gets killed. Most of the time the villains just explode a few buildings, capture women, and plan evil schemes. you hardly ever see any shooting, blood, or death.

-I enjoy me some explotions

-random references to different things i know about, whether it be fads or whatever.

- slow mo

-Solo fights between the villains and heroes.

- Guy gets the girl

-That really stupid character.

-Backstabbing characters

And more i'm sure. honestly i can't think of any cliche's i dislike. Or hate, i'm just not very critical, i'm practically as easy to amuse as a 3 year old when it comes to movies and shows it seems. So yeah if you say I have no tastes i don't blame you.

- The guy has to land on one of two identical buildings; Lands on the wrong building.

- Really predictable revelation at the end of the movie.

- The killer results to be a family member or a close friend of the last victim alive.

- Usually, the handsome guy survives everything.

- Dogs have the same names; Toby, Rex and so on.

gangstas shooting someone while holding their gun sideways

you'll NEVER manage to hit doing that

mythbusters tried that actually, can't find the clip though

in slasher movies: the naked girls or the ones in a bikini always get killed first.
