My favourite pony, without a doubt in my mind is Rarity.

 

She is the most classy, fancy and adorable of them all. Every time she has the spotlight in a scene, I give my full attention for whatever excellent performance she'll make. Her mane is also exquisite and I can't stop staring.

 

She also embodies one side of my family and I really enjoy the classy, smart and high-brow way of looking at things.

About Alanna. I know she's a musical-ish not-in-the-show pony, but really? Why can't she at least show up once???!!! I don't see enough of her!

Ho boy, this is gonna be a long one....Fluttershy is very much akin to me in almost all aspects, but that's not my only reason for favoring her. I love the soft tone of her voice and how it sometimes cracks when she speaks. Her cuteness is irresistible, and I'm usually going "omgosh she's so adorable!" whenever she's on screen, and it doesn't really feel forced to me though other bronies seem to think so, I think her cuteness is just natural for her, she never seems to be trying to be cute, she just is. I admire her timid, kind nature, how she tries to avoid resorting to violence as much as she can, but is very much capable of fighting when she has to as seen in The Royal Canterlot Wedding Part 2, and will stand up for her friends and loved ones when she has to, even if it's a giant scary dragon.

 

The fact that she made a fully grown dragon cry just by yelling at it is pure badass (though her stare is possibly part of what scared him, as it looked like she was giving the dragon the stare), likewise how she took charge and defended the CMC from a cockatrice by scaring it into leaving them alone and making it free twilight and her chicken from petrification (while she was being turned to stone herself! And again, just by yelling at it and using the stare). The stare alone is awesome and mysterious, how she's able to subjugate any animal (and maybe even other ponies, she's never been seen using it on other ponies so we can't know) just by giving them an angry stare. The best part is with these badass moments is that she never gloats about them, and they don't happen too often so whenever they do happen, they're so much more awesome then if they happened on a regular basis.

 

And then there's the fact that she's relatable to me in almost all aspects, so any problem she goes through is usually something I can sympathize with easily. I could probably go on and on about my thoughts on Fluttershy and why I love her so much (in a non romantic way), but I feel these traits sum up why the best.

My favorite pony is Pinkie Pie, followed closely by Twilight Sparkle. I just love how Pinkie is so upbeat all the time, and that Twilight loves to read and study (all of these things fit with me very well). Twilight also reminds me a little of Hermione from Harry Potter, but maybe it's just the studying. lol I love all the ponies, but those two are definitely my favorites, with Pinkie slightly in the lead.

Pinkie, she is what made me hang on to watching untill I became hooked. If it were not for her zany antics I would have never continued watching the show.

My favorite pony is Celestia for a myriad of reasons.

 

One is I really like her personality. I can see into her psyche, and I notice that although she is a perfect leader, she probably never wants to be or over time that desire to lead is lost. She leads because she considers it her duty, and she's willing to serve that calling to the end. So accusations of her being a Tyrant I go against. But at the same time, whenever she can, she appears to yearn for a normal life. To have fun outside of her duties whenever possible, and use her centuries of experience to take advantage of other ponies. Hence her trollish nature. She's intelligent, and cunning, and although her trolling can at first seem strangely rude and unbecoming of her as a mentor and princess, usually it is premeditated, calculated, and set to be a lesson that is to be learned when you look back in memory. Most of her actions are for the development of her subjects.

 

She's also one of the more graceful and beautiful of the ponies. She's powerful, (and although she lost to Chrysalis, that was only because she was supercharged, and I suspect that Celestia is far more proficient in benevolent magic [healing, counter-spells, passive spells, etc.] than malevolent.) fast, and agile in flight, (such as when she retrieved spike's letter personally) Only Luna rivals her power and beauty.

 

If I had met her in real life, she and I would probably become friends very fast.
