Found a cool song that you can't get out of your head? Or maybe just an annoying one that won't leave your thoughts and you feel like torturing the rest of us? Please tell us about it!

If you can find a link to the song or music video, then by all means post it so that we can listen in and discuss the song.

This is NOT a spam thread (go here for spam) to post whatever random video link you have in your ctrl+v buffer. This is for discussion of music, so please take some time to talk about what you like / do not like about the most recently posted video before posting your own. Thanks!

Here, a song to get us started!

I wonder what you mean by "annoying"? Like this?:

This is the song that never ends. Yes, it goes on and on my friends. Some people started singing it not knowing what it was, And they'll continue singing it forever just because... This is the song that never ends. Yes, it goes on and on my friends. Some people started singing it not knowing what it was, And they'll continue singing it forever just because, Etc.

I'm liking the mix of heavy instrumental combination and abnormal tempo there! The weight of the guitars and drums exudes a feeling of urgency and dread, while the beat and pace of the song are brimming with a sort of subtle positivity. Together, they seem to say: "Things are looking grim, but FIGHT ON!!!"

The vocalizations lend to the overall mood of the song, adding an edge of finality onto the sense of urgency already there, but I think it's the fact that they don't appear everywhere in the song that gives them so much potential impact.

I've got an idea! No..... No, wait; it's just a concussion....

I like this song, previously posted, but it feels a bit drowned out. Maybe its just the quality of the sound. Wish it followed some sort of linear path so I could listen to it more, maybe throw in some heavy bass drops or a dual fitting guitar to spice things up. I do like the crowd cheering though, it makes the listener feel more apart of the song itself, almost chanting along with it. The violin was a good add in to the song though, helped give it the flair it needed. This song though feels more akin to a battle song for a video game.

For my music when I listen to heavy-ish stuff like this, I like to start off with this bit though here.

Rob's music is dreadfully simple. To me, he's just a shock act to piss off parents, so their kids will want to listen to him. I'm not one to judge metal vocals, me being a fan of death metal, but the way he sings is so bland. And I'm not too fond of his little electronic beats he adds to stuff.

In this song, the guitar is just relying on the lowest string to play some deep stuff, while the drum plays a simple 4/4 beat. Eh, I guess I just don't like his stuff.

I'd like to add to the discussion with some Periphery.

The guitar tone on this is amazing. I think they run it straight from a Line 6 Pod into a computer, and adjust the tone through audio programs. The use a lot of distortion in it, yet it's still evened out by the clean, more melodic guitar that harmonizes with the vocals. The vocals are pretty good, and I like how he sings above the complex guitar in a clean voice most of the time, and then switches to screams, instead of just screaming the whole time.

But on the album, I do find the drums a bit bland. And the bass tone isn't even there. I can't hear a bass player :/

I HAD TO FALL TO LOSE IT ALL BUT IN THE END IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER /WRISTS

I agree to Robs music. It is very simple, but I like it because it's a great way to start off listening to a string of metal. Not so much trying to listen at later though, it throws off everything awry.

As for Periphery, it's not bad. It feels like it would do well in a movie scene. It is very repetitive on the beat though and the drums don't do much to impress. The singers not bad but I feel a synchronized back up singer would have helped this more. I might look up more of them when I find the time. I would prefer to listen to progressive metal over this stuff though. The guitar is probably the best part of the song though; it changes enough to keep my attention to the song. I just wished it felt a bit sharper and see if that would've helped.

This song right here isn't metal, it's more progressive and is from Steven Wilson whom is possibly one of the greatest progressive musicians today. The song here feels great to chill out to, and the music video sure is inventive to a lot of the same dribble shown on TV today. I think the mood set in the song is very dreary but chill, it's strange to hear something like this really. The piano definitely helps to signify this point.

Hey there, everypony! Welcome to the Music Corner!

I made this topic to talk about musicians and different kind of music genres, so if you big music fan, than

don't be afraid. Share the music that you are just listening so we can listen it together!

From my point of view, I'm a VERY big fan of dubstep! Also my favourite musician is Dj Pone-3!

Here is one of her best remixes the Gypsy Bard Song.

I know there's like... 5 thousand different music threads, but it would be nice if this thread stayed alive for a while. It's a nice way of sharing music without having to stay within the boundaries of a specific genre. There's also plenty of genres I rarely get to discuss and this thread would be optimal for that

Anyways, I'm on an Ital Tek craze right now, though I haven't really payed much attention to his latest releases. But he is definitely a Dubstep/Dub Tech producer worth noting

Thank you so much and yeah I would be happy if this thread would be alive at least for a short time :)

Well, I listened both of those videos that you uploadd and I really enjoyed it cus they aren't hurt my ears like most of the Dubsteps :)

You know I don't like Dubsteps that full of thrill or I don't know what to call it, so yeah, I like both of them. :D

Tomorrow I will check out his other tracks. Do you know Krawella or (a bit more popular) Knife Party?

I thought this was going to be a different type of music thread. I felt like I walked into a music store to look at instruments but I found only CD's and records. I play though. I met this conductor the other day. She conducts all the Zelda live music, like the symphony of the Goddess tour. She was really nice and was a pleasure to meet. Here is some awesome Zelda music.

I do, but sadly I'm not much for their stuff. It's a bit too aggressive and uninspired for me, but I guess everyone has their taste *shrug*

Anyways, some top notch Tech Death incoming. I love this album with every fiber of my existence, it has basically everything one could ask for in a Tech Death album. Shame that there's only one song from that album up on youtube ;_;

This is sort of a remix of a song from the Haruhi Suzumiya anime. I enjoy it, I like how fast paced and fun it is. I just randomly stumbled across it on itunes a year or two back, and I've loved it since. The youtube videos for it (which are rare) don't have many views, so I guess I'll post it here so it can see the light of day some more. :)

@,

Turns out that we already had a thread for sharing songs from any genre and just discussing music in general, so yours has been merged with the older one. I've kept your title.

Like Erio said, this is a great place to post what you like without being restricted to a specific genre or to share music from genres you rarely get a chance to discuss. Have at it :)

Here's a song I just discovered a little while ago.
