How do you think they would react if you rejected a Pony this way?

I know this sounds like a very stupid question, but in the event one of the sapient MLP FIM Ponies, who was a close friend of yours had confessed their feelings for you.

And you not being comfortable with dating non Humans said the following insensitive thing and turned them down in the worst possible way.

You: Ewww! Get away from me you filthy animal. You're not even Human!

Say Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy or other Ponies, how would they react to you rejecting them this way?

"They" in general would most likely be heartbroken, depressed, and somewhat vengeful (if that pony was strong willed). Afterwards "you" would probably be confronted by friends of the mare or stallion and told off in a severe way. In all cases your gonna have a bad time.

But I don't even think Pinkie would ever do that considerings she's just FRIENDS with everypony.

Dashie seems like the type of girl who wants the guy to confess first. She doesn't seem too fond of sentimental stuff.

Fluttershy would be too scared to approach you about something like that.

If I said such a harsh thing to any sentient creature, I don't think I'd be able to forgive myself. I certainly hope my sense of empathy would prevent me from saying such a cruel thing, but let's play out the scenario.

 

Rainbow Dash would likely try to hide her sadness, Fluttershy would be utterly devistated, Rarity would be both sad and personally insulted and Applejack would just buck me with all her might and walk off mildly annoyed. I don't really know what Pinkie Pie would do because... well, she's Pinkie Pie, and I think Twilight would feel extremely dejected.

 

As for Celestia or Luna, they would probably be angry (with good reason), but not use their magic to attack me. I can see them giving the death glare (eep...) and being extremely disappointed though.

I would never reject another in such a heartless way be they human or otherwise. They're putting their hearts out there and that takes a lot of courage, especially if those sorts of relationships are taboo in that world. Calling them a filthy animal makes you a species-ist. Besides, I'm sure ponies can kick really hard and your junk is just the right height.

 

Or perhaps the Mane 6 would use the Elements of Harmony to rainbow slap the bigotry out of you.

 

Fluttershy would cry and run home at first, then she would get angry, go to your house, break down your door, and command you to LOVE HER!

First off, I'm not the kind of person that would say just flat-out say, " Ewww! Get away from you filthy animal. You're not even Human!"

 

That would not be how I would reject them. 

 

Nonetheless, let's just say I was a big jerk that was that superficial and condescending to the ponies.

 

You were also not specific enough when regarding the MLP:FIM ponies. I would seriously make a list of every pony and what I think would be their reaction. But I don't got that much free time lol. So let's a list the possible scenarios with each of the mane 6.

 

Pinkie Pie: She would definitely take it harshly, and lose those happy curls of her's before going into a deep state of depression. She was called a filthy animal for crying out loud! She only wants to make everypony smile, not be ridiculed and be compared to a freakin animal! She has a soft heart and therefore would be in serious heartbreak. And then her friends would find you and probably buck the living hell out of you. I know I would...

 

Fluttershy: Oh god...are you kidding me? Just calling her dumb or weak would cause her to burst into tears. She already has a few emotional and social issues. So saying, "Ewww! Get away from you filthy animal. You're not even Human!" would probably the worst ever thing any soul can ever say to her. She would be the most heartbroken out of all the mane 6 and definitely be in a major state of depression for at least a month or two. Especially since you also called her a "filthy animal." That's low. She loves all animals, and I doubt she thinks of any of them as filthy.

 

Rarity: Really? The pony that tries her very best to represent utmost elegance, beauty, and perfection? Oh she would murder you in a heartbeat!    Okay...maybe not. But she'll definitely be offended, and be much more angry than heartbroken. Calling Rarity a "filthy animal?" That's hilarious mate...

 

Applejack: She'll buck your face in. I wouldn't doubt that. If that doesn't happen then Big Mac would get involved and boy...you would have to run like hell if it were to come down to that!

 

Rainbow Dash: She would kill you...maybe try to in the very least. She never likes to show her emotions at first, so after beating the living crap outta you, she would then probably feel very depressed and heartbroken.

 

Twilight Sparkle: She would handle it the best. And instead of overreacting and feeling immediately heartbroken she would most likely retort to your nonsensical outburst. She would no doubt give a heated lecture on how what you had just said makes no sense. In the end, she would be the one to embarrass you and make you feel horrible(if you haven't felt that way already). Of course afterward, she would be sad and heartbroken for quite a while as well.

 

 

So to sum it all up: Calling them a filthy animal? Are you kidding me? I would never be able to forgive myself! That's not just rejection, that's insulting who they are as a person.

 

I'm not the kind of person nor will I ever be. I would never reject them in that manner. I would do it lightly and gently, because I understand they would feel.

I don't know that this would apply to me because A.) I'd never reject someone so harshly (happened to me, and let me just say it's something I'd never want to put another person through), and B.) I'm actually not above xenophilia with other sapient life forms, as long as I found something in them to love.

 

BUT for the sake of answering the question, if I were to be such an unabashedly horrible toolbag, I'd see each of the Mane 6 reacting thusly:

 

-Twilight would probably try as best as she could to take it in stride, but she'd have a clear look of dejection as she held back the flood of tears.

-Dashie would give me a well-deserved buck to the nads before...well, like Rush said, speeding off somewhere to cry in private.

-AJ might not go so far as to pummel me, but I'm sure her reaction would otherwise be similar to Dashie's, with anger and incredulity.

-Flutters would immediately start leaking from the eyes and probably wouldn't be able to squeak out so much as a word before she flew off sobbing.

-Pinkie'd probably wail something to the effect of "Why are you being so MEAN?!" before bursting into tears like this and running off.

-Rarity would most definitely be aghast at having just been called a filthy animal. I could see her holing herself up in her house for days afterward.

 

...And then I'd immediately fall depressed at the notion that I could be such a massive turd to such gentle creatures and seek out the nearest source of booze.

 

EDIT: Ha, totally forgot about Rarity. Not because I don't like her, but because I never would've thought I'd be the type of guy she'd have feelings for. Unless she's got a secret affinity for "ruffians" such as myself.

I would never reject such a thing in such a way, even if the romantic feelings were not mutual.

 

However, if Pinkie Pie was rejected, I imagine her bursting out in tears, same with Rarity. Fluttershy would probably at least have the dignity to walk away before crying, and Rainbow Dash would pretend she was joking. Applejack would probably shrug and sigh, and Twilight Sparkle would probably cast a love spell on me.

I could never say anything like that. I would feel so guilty for braking their heart, I would instead say that I care greatly for them but, not in a romantic way. I'd just ask if they'd still want to be friends. Hell its hard enough just doing that to a person let alone a pony.

To start, I'm not sure how I would react to even a human being saying they loved me, let alone a pony. I'm not above Xenophillia, heck I probably am a Xenophilliac, but I am the farthest thing from knowing how to handle being confessed too. I'd probably react with stammering words and awkward silences if anything. But pretty much all the ways the Mane 6 would respond have been depicted. If I was the kind of person to say such things, I probably wouldn't even be friends w/ any of the ponies, let alone be nice enough to make them think I was worthy of lasting companionship.  Hard to say why I would do that since I'm not that kind of person, unless of course I was discorded, then I probably would say something like that, and if I stayed that way I probably wouldn't care, but if I changed back, I probably couldn't live with myself. I'd probably write a message on the side of a building in my own blood,  apologizing for my actions, and if I survived that, I'd go and find the nearest Ursa major to piss off or maybe find Spike, beg him to take a letter, and in it, ask Celestia to turn me to stone, to serve as a reminder that feelings do matter, no matter who or what you are.

If I really had that kind of hatred flowing through me they would not react as I tend to get violent when I am feeling hateful so I don't think there would be any survivors. But then again, I really am not a hateful person unless provoked in an extreme way, so I wouldn't likely reject them or anything.

 

It's extremely hard to provoke some kind of hateful response from me, it would take either prolonged provocation (For months), or something so bad that it triggered an instant response (Killing somebody I'm close to). As you may have guessed, trying to spark a romantic relationship with me is neither of those things.

I have had crushes on girls that didn't feel the same way and I have had girls crush on me when I didn't feel the same way so I understand what it is like from both sides of this. Because of that and I don't see them as "animals" and would gladly date most of them especially Applejack even if I didn't feel the same way I wouldn't be that cruel. But if I was that much of a douche I think they would probably react something like this 

 

Applejack: It would be very similar to her reaction to finding out who Gabby Gums was in Ponyville Confidential, she would be pissed and would probably not want to speak to me for quite some time possible never again.

 

Twilight Sparkle: She would probably go numb for a while and have a huge freakout later.

 

Rainbow Dash: I would get bucked and not the good kind of bucked where I get to tell her who her Daddy is, I mean a swift kick right to the nuts and then Dashie would probably find somewhere quiet to ball her eyes out.

 

Pinkie Pie: I think the episode Party Of One is a pretty good clue as to how she would react except in this case I think it would be a lot worse.

 

Fluttershy: Crying and lots of it

 

Rarity: Lots of yelling "whining" "complaining" and insults.
