The graphics make it hard for me to play that one though, Iprefer the Gameboy +Advance games and 3DS ones personally, the DS  doesn't do much for me

Ah, X and Y are fun ^^

Still needs more storyline and challenge, like most of the Pokemon games, but there's always online play and the like, and the gameplay's definitely improved ^^

I got out of it after I lost my DS and Pokemon White.

Heh, my first one was Red version.

I bought it myself along with my transparent, purple Gameboy color when I was seven. X3

 

And eh, I don't really need much more challenge.

Sure it's not that hard if you just put time into it and know how the rules work.

Not sure what they'd do to make more of a "challenge"

I started with FireRed, someone I knew stopped playing the games and gave it to me

Started with FireRed too. Fire types are still my favorite for probably that reason. 

 

 Haven't played any Pokemon in a long time though.

I remember gen 3 being quite tricky, especially the second gym leader and the elite 4.

 

Also Whitney's Miltank in gen 2. Aargh...
