Well, he knows I don't like when he talks about being on a trip, so he'll usually try to avoid talking about it...

 

However, when I ask if we can skype, we usually can't since he's on a trip, so he mentions his trip to me. I've tried to tell him to just lie to me and say he's too busy to skype, but he doesn't want to do that for some reason.

 

So I'm not sure if it's on purpose or not.

It may seem better, but I am sure you both have unique aspects within your lives the other does not experience.

 

Not to mention, it may eventually be a life you two share together.

As Jonas said, have a serious talk with him about it and make sure he understands what bothers you and why it does. Nail it into his head if you have to
