There is a big tornado going along Interstate 44 at the worst of times. It's ten til 5 PM so there are going to be a lot of people going home. 

It's a very active day for tornadic weather. .-.

They just measured a 163 mile per hour (262 km/hour) wind shear with this current tornado. The wind inside the tornado is moving 102 miles an hour (164 km/h) in one direction and 61miles an hour (98 km/h) in the other. The wind flowing into it is also moving 90+ mph (145+ km/h).

There was a big tornado that hit Moore in 1999. They believe the wind in that tornado was upwards of 300 miles an hour (482 km/h). That thing was huge and caused more than $2 billion in damage. I remember seeing it on TV when I was a kid.

They think this current tornado is blowing wind at about 280 km/h right now. It's getting stronger...

They just issued a tornado emergency for some areas just southwest of the city. They generally just issue warnings. But they save the term "emergency" for balls to the wall and it's time to serious the fuck up about this if you're not already. Or if a bigger tornado is moving toward a well populated area. 

 

They think this tornado may be about a kilometer or more wide now.

Lol I'll just boost the signal strength. I've got it running at only 25% because I only have a tiny area to cover. 

 

I don't think it's going to come for my house. But it'll probably come very close to the city. It's definitely going to hit Moore or Norman. I hope it loses some of its energy before it gets here.

I think it's getting stronger because it ran into A LOT of humidity when it got here. 

 

I really hope it weakens before it hits Moore. They had a huge F5 in 1999, a nasty F3 in 2003, another F5 in 2013 that killed 7 children, and then they had a relatively destructive F2 just earlier this year. Now we're looking at a potential F3 coming into Moore in just 30 minutes. .-. Those poor folks just don't catch a break.
