Other interesting things about the Game Boy:

 

It only had a 2-bit grayscale (4 shades of gray) screen

The CPU clocked at 4.19 megahertz, which was more than double the NES (1.79 MHz)

There were 8 kilobytes of RAM and 8 kilobytes of VRAM (quadruple what the NES had)

The resolution of the original Game Boy was 160 x 144.

 

What did this all add up to? 

 

The Game Boy was capable of playing your games at about 59.7 FPS. 

 

There was a 60 FPS console in 1989.
