She tried to use the spell with all her power, and a few sparks came out of her horn, allowing Jaqueline to stand again, but not much more. She also got a little of her magic resources back, just enough to make Jaqueline to 90% invisible. But it wouldn't last for long, so Jaqueline decided to walk around the arena a little bit and then suddenly attack with her front hooves from the back! She hoped for a hit, because after this attack the invisibility will wear off...

 

Nuclear squinted, barely able to see Jaqueline.

 

'Dang, she's pretty tough...' the gray mare thought before suddenly being hit in the side.

 

"OW!" The hit was just strong enough to make her nearly trip and make her right side sore. She rubbed some of the pain away, watching as her opponent flickered into view.

 

"There you are!" said Nuclear, smiling at Jaqueline. "Time to get this over with!"

 

In that moment, Nuclear used one of her stronger attacks, sending a large ball of radiation straight at Jaqueline, hopefully not enough to kill her. "CASTLE BRAVO!"

 

She didn't want that.

Stone bent the pole and used it like a crutch for support on her walking. So she stood up slowly and leaned on it. "Let me out.....please....just let me out" she said trying to not fight due to her disability it was annoying though not being able to fight at all. At least for now

Most of the engineers didn't do anything, torn between loyalty to Rail and sympathy to Stone Heart. But the head engineer grabbed a syringe and stomped closer to her. "Can't count on the rest of you to keep a half dead girl in check!" He complained. "I've got to do this all myself now! We're losing time to work on the project!"

Most of the engineers didn't do anything, torn between loyalty to Rail and sympathy to Stone Heart. But the head engineer grabbed a syringe and stomped closer to her. "Can't count on the rest of you to keep a half dead girl in check!" He complained. "I've got to do this all myself now! We're losing time to work on the project!"

Stone turned around and put her hands up and backed up slowly. She then remained quiet. "I just want to leave, ok please" she said. She knew he wouldn't comprehend. So she went to use her free hand to punch him, but it tore up the muscles and she brought it to her chest as it hurt.

Sole was silent as he heard this, but he wasn't backing down now "fine... cosmo may be my friend, but he won't stop me from winning this damn tournament and killing you and your lackey." He said evenly "if I were you i'd start praying. Its because of you that so many innocents are dead." He said.

Stone turned around and put her hands up and backed up slowly. She then remained quiet. "I just want to leave, ok please" she said. She knew he wouldn't comprehend. So she went to use her free hand to punch him, but it tore up the muscles and she brought it to her chest as it hurt.

"That's quite a hypocritical thing coming from someone who's threatening to kill an old man who he's never met. I assure you, no one innocent has died here. It's a difficult concept to grab, I'm sure, but I'm confident that you will understand."

Stone grunted as the needle went in. She almost went into tears because if the pain she was in and the needle combined. She soon felt dizzy and stumbled back and forth. She dropped the crutch and fell to the ground "w-why......won't you.....let....me....leave.........." And then she passed out on the ground.

"Then we think similarly." Rail said. He opened his dark blue eyes for the first time in the competition. "Retribution is the only solution, the only retaliation suitable for a monstrous act. The drive to kill is in your nature as it is in mine, and Mason's and your wife's as well. No one exists without that drive toward evil. Sole's expression darkened "you haven't even begun to witness evil. Hell this tournament is childs play compared to the wars I've been in, but it doesn't make it right... and it won't stop me. I don't know what you've got planned, but I won't stop till your dead." He said seriously "and death isn't true retribution. Its just a lazy escape plan. The only way to fight your evil is to fight evil itself." He said seriously.

Swordpoint grunted as he stood. "Powerful. Let us continue." He leapt into the air, charged Thunder in a zigzag pattern, and crashed into him. He latched onto Thunder and flapped his wings upward, sending them both toward the ground. He spun them both in a spiral pattern, eventually crashing into the ground with Thunder beneath him. He flapped his wings, sending himself back into the air. As he did so, he flipped backward.

Tempest sensed Stone's pain and glared at Rail. His aura then surrounded him as he galloped towards the infirmiry. He soon reached his destination and rammed the door down. The first thing he noticed, was Stone's body. He glared at the scientists as Xena came out. "What did you do?" He growled.

Sole's expression darkened "you haven't even begun to witness evil. Hell this tournament is childs play compared to the wars I've been in, but it doesn't make it right... and it won't stop me. "You may not understand this." Rail continued, closing his eyes again. "But your approaching this the wrong way, from the wrong perspective. How can you defeat evil if you yourself are still alive? The only way to ensure that evil will be stopped is to get rid of all of the people. All of them."

I have commited unspeakable evil, but death cannot cleans your sins... only by trying to do good can you try and lose your evil." He said "you cannot understand... your too narrow minded. Death isn't a way to cleans evil... but it can be a start for ponies like you. I hope your a better pony in the next life after i kill you."

Tempest glared at Rail as his aura surrounded him. His teeth then sharpened and Xena taking over. "You are wrong. Not everypony is evil." He said.

 

Xena then roared and showed his true form. He was twice as large as Sole and had twelve tails. He looked more draconian than a pony. "This will not stand." He growled. "I shall let it play out, but be warned. You have no idea of what you're dealing with."

I have commited unspeakable evil, but death cannot cleans your sins... only by trying to do good can you try and lose your evil." He said "you cannot understand... your too narrow minded. Whiplash stumbled down the hall, her mind fuzzy. "Gotta get back to the infirmary," she murmured, feeling sharp pains in her side. As the pegasus rounded a corner, she spotted Sole and Rail conversing. GET OUT OF HERE! She screamed in her head as she hastily tripped back behind the wall. "I can't show my face to Sole again," she whispered, breathing heavily.

Rail opened his eyes and looked at Xena in the same way someone would look at a boring car. Unimpressed and still quite emotionless. He dropped his cigarette and stomped it out. "You all assume that there will be time after this is over." He said. He turned around and left to a section of the arena that only those with special clearance can enter.

Tempest took over and returned to normal. He then glanced at Sole. "Sorry you had to see that. Anyway, I should be leaving, I guess." He said, before trotting to the exit. He had what he came for, and he was satisfied. "I hope Ivy hasn't given up on me." The cyan pegesus then sighed.

As Whiplash watched Tempest and Rail walk off, leaving only Sole, her breathing quickened. It didn't help that her pain began to intensify. Whiplash began to walk back down the hall, when one of her injured legs gave out. "Ow!" she yelled as she hit the cold floor. Whiplash's muscles quivered in pain as she struggled to stand up.

Sole glared at rail as he left, and simply nodded as tempest walked away. But as he was about to walk away he spotted something shift behind a wall. After a moment of concentration, he sensed whiplash's energy behind the wall... but something was wrong. "Hey... why are you hiding?" He asked, as he walked up to her "you should be resting." He said with concern.

Whiplash stared in shock as Sole found her hiding place. "S-Sole please..I'm sorry. If I could go back in time and not kill her, I-I would," she stammered under the griffin's gaze. He has every reason to just kill me on the spot, she thought. "I..it's okay if you want to get rid of me," she said quietly, bowing her head.

Sole chuckled "what are you talking about? I don't kill my friends." He said encouragingly "and I already told you, stone's death wasn't your fault... its rails." He said, before grabbing her by the waist and slinging her over his shoulder "now, let's get you to the infirmary so you can heal up. Then we can get revenge for stone." He said calmly.

Thunder Dash recovered. "It's time to finish this!" He thought to himself. He then found an opening. While Swordpoint was flipping, Thunder Dash quickly grabbed him by the tail, slammed him down to the ground, flew up in the air with Swordpoint in his grip and started to spin around in the air. His speeds were increasing and he was also building electricity. He then unleashed some of the electricity while he was still spinning. By now, he was spinning fast enough that a tornado brewed up, but he stayed in his current position while still spinning Swordpoint as he held his tail. Whiplash was shocked as the two headed to the infirmary. Sole wasn't blaming her? And..he considered her his friend? Whiplash's turned her swimming head to look at the kind griffin. Few people had really ever befriended her, and it meant a lot to her. "Thank you," Whiplash whispered, laying her head back and slowly falling asleep.

Something isn't right... Nature is not in balance here. I feel like... like someone may be trying to create artificial life, or something. I knew there was a reason I was sent here, instead of continuing my studies of the Everfree with Scout. I must investigate. She exited the veiwing room, and headed towards the infirmary. She reasoned that whatever was going on would probably be in there.

The engineers and doctors put Stone back on the bed. "No need to strap her down. She'll be asleep for days, besides, we don't want to scare her again." The lead engineer said. "Now, let's get back to the project."
