sole was looking around at the cheering croud as he sensed someone approaching. He looked forward to see pelarium "hey pella. Looks like your my opponent huh... Well even though I'm gonna win, I want a good fight outta you. This should be some good training." He said cockily, as he got in a fighting stance and awaited the start of the match. With stone's life secured, and his resolve unstoppable, he was back to his old self again... Or was he?

Pella sighed, thinking I have to go first. Against the revenge guys. I wonder if I can say I told you so. I mean, isn't that his marefriend? He probably doesn't even remember. She got up, and walked to the arena, one that seemed bigger and bloodier than the last few she'd been on. She saw Topaz, and frowned, turning to her designated area. Then she saw Juri, Woah. Woooooooah, wait a minute. That's a judge? How do you trick such a good-looking mare into being a judge? Shouldn't she be, like, a model or something? She looked away and quickly moved to her corner.

(By judge do you mean ref? Juri is just her name.)

 

"Okay you two, I'm gonna start the fight in just a few seconds, are you both ready?" Juri said. Her question was rhetorical, she would start the fight no matter what they answered. "OKAY! THREE, TWO, ONE, AND... BEGIN THE ONSLAUGHT!"

Her shadow, however, did not, and her eyes sparked with green energy.

He said, before disappearing suddenly like a mirage. He suddenly re-appeared behind her and swung at the back of her head, attempting to knock her out with one blow. "I can't afford to lose... I made an oath." He said quickly.

He said, before disappearing suddenly like a mirage. He suddenly re-appeared behind her and swung at the back of her head, attempting to knock her out with one blow. "I can't afford to lose... I made an oath." He said quickly.

That move wasn't even powerful, she thought. As the punch came at her, all of her senses became heightened, and he seemed to slow down. She moved her head a fraction, turned, and punched his dedicated body in the ribs as he passed. She didn't move otherwise, staying in her starting position.

sole was shocked as pelarium seemed to move even faster then him and hit him in the gut, sending him flying through the air. As he quickly regained his balance in the air he looked down at her, and couldn't help but feel excited at the prospect of a challenge such as this. "Wow... That actually hurt! This is gonna be more fun then I thought!" He said, as he began to store energy needed for chaos soul. As he charged energy, he flew toward her at blistering speeds and attempted to knee her in the side of the head.

"Council of Nature," she mumbles, "Requisition, soul-body art, porcupine." Her colors changed as her coat became spiky. Her main and tail followed suit, and she kept close to the ground to protect her belly.

"Pelarium can't seem to stay in one form for long!" Topaz commented. "While Sole is resorting to his same old moves, Pella is using techniques I've never seen before! I can't imagine how much discipline it took for her to keep these things from us for the first two rounds!"

"I'm done playing, now I'm gonna get serious." He said, as he swung his sword, causing a large slash of chaos energy to fly from the blade, and toward her.

Whiplash watched the fight on the TV, intrigued. She was positive that Sole would easily knock Pella out, but it looked as if the unicorn had more fight in her than she'd thought. Whiplash felt flutters in her stomach, knowing who's round would be next. It's not even your fight, and you're nervous! Cut it out! she thought to herself in frustration.

"This fight might not end as I've predicted. I might lose a small fortune on the bets." Rail said without a hint of concern.

 

"It's the advantage of having such short fights. Everyone assumes you can only do as much as you show in the first rounds." Mason commented. "What exactly is a small fortune worth to you?"

 

"Only about a fourth of a billion, not much. I'll have to hustle a little better in the next round."

 

(As a point of reference, a bit is worth 12.5 cents. 250,000,000 bits = 31,250,000 dollars. This actually won't make much of a difference if he wins or loses.)

Frost wiped away his tear. "Yeah I guess you've got a point there." he said sniffing and letting out a small chuckle. He put his hoof over Nuclears. "When you get out of here I'm taking you and whoever else wants to go out for a nice lunch, token of friendship you could say." he said with a grin trying not to sound awkward.

 

Another grin appeared on Nuclear's face. Her condition didn't seem to foul her mood despite the pain.

 

"We should bring Icy!" she suggested, looking at the other mare.

It took ten minutes for stone to finally let things settle in. Once things did she finally threw her head down on a pillow and cried. Mostly because it was just a blast of emotion but it was because she was happy to be alive right now. And not dead as she presumed she had been. Or in a crazy laboratory with a crazy robot.

Sole was suprised as the punch passed through her, and as he got kicked away. "Alright, enough games!" He said in annoyance, as he drew his sword and slashed the debris in half. "I'm done playing, now I'm gonna get serious." He said, as he swung his sword, causing a large slash of chaos energy to fly from the blade, and toward her.

Nature is order, nature is balance... the voice of her teacher coursed through her mind. She plucked a spine and held it out, "Mother nature hear my plea." It stung a little as the quill grew back. She through it at the slash, and jumped after it. The chaos energy met with the needle and exploded into a giant flash of light, and a equally big flash of darkness. When she landed, she no longer had quills. Instead, she was standing in wolf form. "Do you still feel that your fight is for vengeance Sole? There is none more vengeful or forgiving then the master I serve." The wind picked up ant blew her main and tail back, as her eyes began to glow green. "You have chosen to draw your sword against me, and you are determined that wining is your only option." Green outlines of her weapons highlight her front hooves, than solidify. Her color brightens up significantly as she claps her hands. "Dancing time!" Squirrel cheers, as she charges at Sole, "You can give Lady Wolf her answers as we party!"

"Didn't I tell you? I'm over the whole "lets kill rail" thing. Now that he's wised up and returned my beautiful wife, my goal goes deeper then simple revenge." He said calmly, as he sent multiple chaos slashes at her from every direction "my new goal is salvation... And redemption. And for those reasons I'd rather die then lose." He said adamantly.

"He's about to do it. His resolve and his strength are intertwined. Your prediction was right as always, Rail." Mason said with a small chuckle.

 

"Sooner than I'd expected," was all Rail said in reply.

Whir whir whir goes his mysterious devices placed under our feet, and the souls of the ecosystem he destroyed to make this screams as loud as the souls who died in it. Oh, it's so easy to tell something's not right." She slides down to swipe his feet from under him.

He growled, before pointing at her with his talon, as if it were a gun "and I'll show you predictable!" He said, as a large ball of chaos magic shot at her head.

"Then we're at an impasse!" she says happily, She charges her own ball (This is one of the BlazBlue moves there, Chao) and punches it. She dashes forward and cries, "Lunatic upper!" And goes for an uppercut. (That's a six hit combo that ends in another uppercut that pushes combatants away.)

Sole barely had time to tilt his head back and avoid an uppercut to the jaw "whoa! Glad I dodged that!" He said, before jumping back a few feet away from pelarium. "And no... We're not at an impass. The first one to break their resolve is the loser. So, lets kick it up a notch shall we?" He said, before pointing the blade at her. The blade began to faintly glow a dark red "anarchy!" He said, as a large beam of chaos energy shot out of the blade and flew toward her.

She jumped... But there was another her jumping, and another her charging. They both poofed into smoke as beam hit them, and as she came down her tail was smoking. "Meteor punch!" she cried, as she punched at him on the way to her landing. (Roll stick backwards, press 'c') unlike other mare of the tournament, she wasn't concerned about her tail. "That could've killed me." Her colors faded to black-and-white, and her face grew stoic. She brought her fist back, "Strike with the fury of 1000's of dead animals!" As she punched forward, a much larger (probably two Soles tall, and as wide as 3 ponies) fist came to being, crashing towards Sole. (Swing backwards, then push forwards. D. Did I mention this was a 2D game?)

Sole smirked and created annother blast of energy from his sword, as the attacks collided it caused an explosion. "Your overreacting pella, that wouldn't have been enough to kill ya. But it would've hurt like a bitch." He said through the smoke. Suddenly two sole's jumped out of the smoke and fired blasts of chaos magic from their fingers at her "this will too!" They said at the same time.

She jumped once, and then jumped again in midair. (Up twice) She then created another ball of her energy (roll forwards A) and shot it (D) at the place in between the two Soles. She'd watched the Sole v Cosmo match, and knew he could move fast enough to confuse her sight. It helped that he'd announced it.

Both soles were destroyed by the attack and disappeared with a snuff of magic. The stadium grew quiet for a moment, before sole popped out from behind her and kicked at her head. But just as the attack came close to hitting, he disappeared and reappeared beside her striking at her gut. Using his afterimage technique this quickly was consuming a lot of energy, he hoped it'd be worth it.

As soon as the punch connected, her breath flowed out.

 

I don't understand Master Bear! Why is it necessary for you to punch me breathless?

 

Because when you get punched in the stomache, it leaves the rest of you open. You need to know how to recover.

 

She coughed out, "Nice try," and grabbed him by the beak. It was obvious that this had succeeded in both hurting her immensely and pissing her off by the follow-up punch in the sternum. It was quite literally filled with fury, and had enough umph in it to send anypony flying to the other edge of the arena. (Grab button.)
