What would you do if your OC pony was a background char in the MLP Episodes?

I for one would actually be upset if they did not first ask my consent. Especially since I worked incredibly hard on my OC's design.

 

If they did ask for my consent first, I would be very happy to let them do so.

Glad you like it, i dunno alot of people aren't fond of ponycreator ponies, which i can understand seeing as you don't exactly use any custom mane styles, but idk if i could make any frankly.

 

But its nice to hear you like my Oc's design, makes me feel like a little bit more creative then nothing.

Stardust as a real background pony? I hope he'd be a wonderbolt since he looks a bit too wacky to be a normal pegasus  . I would definitely feel special and useful to have my creation on a show like My Little Pony, but I probably wouldn't profit from it unless it really helped them out (I'd let them keep the idea regardless of pay though) ...but I doubt it since he's a background pony, so I'd leave it at that.

I would be ecstatic (though a bit surprised if it were the only OC I currently have; less so if it were one of the OC's I have planned), but I would probably just end up trying desperately to explain to random people the gloriousness of what had happened. I can only imagine most people wouldn't understand how awesome that would be...

I would be pretty excited if I had the time to find it; I had an OC that was actually a background Crystal Pony's name, but the mane style and coat color didn't fit. 

 

But the chance would be really unlikely, considering I make up manestyles that aren't originally from MLP background ponies; most of them are copies of a particular "main" background pony.

Probably upon first seeing my OC as a background pony, I would at first think, "Wow, I've never seen a background pony like that before. Wow he actually has a similar mane as Rainbow Dash. Wait, he actually looks a little familiar.."

 

Then once I realize that that was my OC, I'd get all surprised and just flip out for a good few minutes! Then I'd be very ecstatic!

 

I wouldn't really care so much if they basically stole it. Sure, it would be a minor concern, but my happiness and excitement at the fact that they chose my OC to be in the actual show to begin with would easily outweigh the concern.

 

It would make my day. That's for sure!

Well considering the average quality of most OC ponies, (no offense to anypony, just generalizing here) if hasbro started using OC's for background ponies I'd probably start to worry.

 

At the same time, it would be awesome for them to do that. It's not often a creator of a franchise such as this gives much of a nod to it's fanbase so it would be pretty much the ultimate acceptance of brony-dom on hasbro's part.

I'm surprised no one said "sue the bastards", because that's what I'd do. The creators of the show have cited rights issues as a reason why they are hesitant to include OCs in the show except for those of show staffers. I would not want a character of mine associated with someone else's work unless they have the proper permission or good faith to do so, even if it is an OC for an existing franchise.

I would ring up Hasbro and tell them that my OC belongs to me and you cannot use it unless I trust you or you have given me Permission. Then I would file a lawsuit.

On the plus side seeing my OC as a background character will make me very happy.
