Moved to Elsewhere 11,331 August 19, 2013 Share August 19, 2013 Now you all know how everyone says how awesome 90s shows are. But there were probably still shows that were terrible. So I'm asking you, what are some 90s shows that you personally don't like? As for me, well of coarse My little pony tales but one I was personally never fond of even as a kid was CatDog. I know a lot of people like it but I always found the show very boring and the characters not interesting. So I guess discuss away.
Scootalove 10,692 August 19, 2013 Share August 19, 2013 To be honest, I didn't like CatDog even though the show was very popular for using animals as characters. But, when I was a kid I didn't care about character development even if there was no development at all. 1 Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
~StatesTheOblivious~ 1,795 August 19, 2013 Share August 19, 2013 This. http://youtu.be/xg828g5uBZs I never liked it. Not my kind of sitcom, not my humor. I actually find it quite annoying at many points while many people I know like it. 1 "If men define situations as real, they are real in their consequences." - W. I. Thomas & D. S. Soundwave 28,558 August 19, 2013 Share August 19, 2013 Catdog, but only years later after I noticed how f***ed up it was Also I never cared for most of Cartoon Network's 90's cartoons outside of Johnny Bravo
Mand'alor Dash 2,225 August 20, 2013 Share August 20, 2013 90s Spider-Man was (and still is) one of the worst cartoons ever made. It's cliche'd, melodramatic, uninspired, horrendously acted and animated, and has possibly the worst pacing in television history. Also, Family Guy got its start back in the 90s. You bet your hairy flank I'm putting that on my list. Amoral cynic with a bitchin' vocabulary. Check out A Century of Song if you like music from before this millennium. Moonlight 7,291 August 20, 2013 Share August 20, 2013 (edited) Actually, let's just say that the only 90's shows I enjoyed are: Pokemon (I still watch the new ones, so..) Ed, Edd n Eddy Powerpuff Girls Most of the shows I enjoyed were made in the 00's, if I were to be honest. Courage the Cowardly Dog is...meh, to me. Nothing special to me, if I were to be honest. I don't like Animaniacs in the slightest, either. The 90's cartoons are EXTREMELY overrated, and they're not as good as people think, all they think about is nostalgia. Gabriel Smith 53 August 20, 2013 Share August 20, 2013 90's Disney shows. To be more specific, most of their movie licensed shows (Hercules and Aladdin for example), and then there's (correct me if I am wrong) things like Pepperanne (spelt correctly?) and Doug. It's gotten to the point where I fear for anything with the Disney name attached to it, because it'll either get screwed over (Tron: Uprising) or just be - well - terrible (any of the previously mentioned items). Also, just to commit more heresy, I also wasn't (and still are not) a fan of - The Powerpuff Girls SWAT Katz Huh. That was a short list. Now excuse me while I go rig up a long list of 80's Cartoons I didn't like...

shocker1991 32 August 20, 2013 Share August 20, 2013 (edited) I never liked the Disney animated series based on Hercules, mainly because I hated the fact that they went back to Herc's teen years and put him in a school. I might have liked it if the series took place after the movie or during Herc's adult years. I was also never a fan of Doug as I found it boring and the characters uninteresting. I prefer cartoons that take advantage of the fact that they are cartoons by doing things that would'nt look good in live action and I always thought Doug should have been live action. DND 2,355 August 23, 2013 Share August 23, 2013 Yeah, CatDog was creative, but not that creative with humor and storyline. I just instantly got bored with it. I mean, really? a Cat and a Dog put together, and that's the best you can do, guys? I'm disappointed.
ReverseFaller 2,484 August 23, 2013 Share August 23, 2013 I never really liked Johnny Bravo all that much. I mean it was okay. It was far better than Cow and Chicken in my opinion, that show was weird. I think Cartoon Network also had one about a baboon, or a weasel or something. It was weird. I never really liked Rocket Power either. 1 Credit for the signature goes to Kyoshi

Some humor can be edgy but other times it gets gross and disturbing.
Dsanders 5,750 August 23, 2013 Share August 23, 2013 I do agree that most of the shows from the 90s are a little overrated these days. I did like most of them though, as a lot of them had a bunch of creative and interesting storylines. But yeah, I'd say, if it were to come down to the ones I don't like, Catdog would be one of them. The idea and concept behind it seemed a little weird and kind of messed up in a way, now looking back on it. Family Guy was alright back then, made me laugh, but it wasn't really my cup of tea either.
Abstract 832 August 23, 2013 Share August 23, 2013 (edited) Ren and Stimpy, Bevis and Butthead, Rugrats and Johnny Bravo. There's more. Tons more. But the world would have been a better place had these four never existed. Also, contrary to the general opinion of this threads participants; CatDog was fucking awesome. Sylentmana 271 August 23, 2013 Share August 23, 2013 I was never a fan of Friends or Seinfeld as far a sitcoms go. For cartoons I didn't like Catdog, Ren and Stimpy, and Ed, Edd, and Eddy. In space, no one can hear you squee!
~Silver Essence~ 2,625 August 25, 2013 Share August 25, 2013 I'll be honest, EVERY 90's show on nickelodeon didn't quite hold up of what I expected. In cartoon network however, most except maybe two, hold up to no dissapointment.
