Is watching MLP classified as hipster?

Well if you were to look up hipster in the dictionary then yes; watching mlp is hipster.

Then again, if you were to look up hipster in the Dictionary then technically, being hipster is mainstream.

So watching MLP is mainstream.

Confussled iz me.

 

Anyways, i don't really think it is hipster, but neither is it really mainstream, its just kinda there.

 

It might have been for the first few people idk.

 

I don't like the term a whole ton, partly because its a bit confusing to think about... Most of the time i use it as a joke really.

 

Then again, i use alot of terms as jokes, so idk xD.

 

I don't think doing something different from others exactly makes you a hipster though. Plus there is a pretty massive following of MLP now.

I absolutely despise that people classify themselves as a certain group of people. We are all different, yet the same. There is nothing to classify!  My girlfriend asked me the same question a while ago... "Do you see yourself as a hipster?" My only response was, "I see myself as a Person." I like what I like and I do what I do, just like any other person should. Don't get caught up in fads and what other people think is "cool". Just do and feel You! because in the end, You are what you are left with.

Hipster, main stream, blah, blah, blah - It's just a show. I don't care if something is 'mainstream' or not, if I like it, I like it. These really feel like just labels.

No. A hipster would be into MLP because it's unconventional in our society for an adult to be enjoying things like that. A fan, however, genuinely adores the show even though it is unpopular among adults. In fact, most bronies didn't like MLP one bit until they actually gave it a shot, which blows the hipster myth out the water.
