Oh, so that's why the name was in my head... Oh well, he at least needs Swift in his name, I really like that part. 

 

I always thought Sea Salt or Salty Sea would be a good name for a sea-faring pony.

Actually, I'm the ship's commanding officer. He's the second in command, and you're third. We had a OC name mix-up  :blush:

Unfortunately everyone wants to be the commanding officer or first mate, so the position is taken. I'd gladly put you down as a lieutenant. Or perhaps you'd like to be second in command of the marines?

It is not really a big deal were you put jaeger, where ever you think he would fit the best.

 Actually, I made a mistake. Your rank would be a Midshipman. I feel so bad telling people their getting lower ranks than they're expecting.  :blush:​

Alright, his name is now Connor Swift, or Captain Connor (once the HMS Hornet is available, and how large would the crew be? It should be good around 50-100, since it is a Sloop of War, isn't it?) But, for now it's Commander Connor. I love alliteration!

Alright, his name is now Connor Swift, or Captain Connor (once the HMS Hornet is available, and how large would the crew be? It should be good around 50-100, since it is a Sloop of War, isn't it?) But, for now it's Commander Connor. I love alliteration!

A small sloop of war could have as much as 300 crewmembers. The Hornet will likely be the same size as the Resilient though (updated OP should have the info you need).

 

Will we be able to post soon now that we have some things sorted, or is it going to be a while longer?

I'll start up the mission tomorrow, I think.

A midshipman is a young officer, typically from a middle class family, aging usually between 16-22ish. They were basically officers in training. Their duties were pretty much the same as other officers, yet obviously they lacked experience and rank. Usually they had a separate quarters for Midshipman. You didn't get your own quarters until you were a lieutenant. 

 

Anyway, I'll try and get the first mission post out today.


Alright, I've opened up the roleplay. Currently I'd like to make our in character introductions first before we start the actual voyage, and perhaps a visit from a princess too  ;)

Regarding your first post, you should check that 10 posts above you. The captain is actually in his quarters and not on deck anymore.  ;)

Editing your post for something minor like that is fine. I suppose you could say your character made the mistake, but I think the former would be much easier.

alright i fixed it a small editing what i said but nothing major but it fits with me walking in to your corridors

I would be using my OC, Lume, for this one. As for a position... Um... My character doesn't know much about first-aid, but I can make something up for this RP exclusively and play the ship's surgeon/medic.
