Starshine 16,333 September 10, 2013 Share September 10, 2013 Whenever I'm upset, I would just spend my energy screaming at people anonymously over the internet, preferably imageboards. It's surprisingly calming when the target of your anger lashes out back at you with huge strings of incoherent phrases.
DiscordAnarchy 770 September 10, 2013 Share September 10, 2013 When I was younger, I'd play HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2 on my dreamcast. Lately though, I buy a few bottles of cherry coke and slump down on my couch with either a book, a tv series I like to watch, or play Mario 3. Just what is a Nega Brony? Click the Sig to find out! Frith is Magick 1,471 September 10, 2013 Share September 10, 2013 Usually I try to not let things bother me. If I'm in a bad mood, upbeat Celtic music usually improves it. This may sound semi-psychotic, but knives+cardboard boxes=stress relief. Keep flyin'

Scootaloo Is Best Filly 578 September 11, 2013 Share September 11, 2013 Wow, I really need to start writing some of the ideas down. When I'm angry I end up just hurting the people I love.(Not physically of course) I normally end up saying really bad things that I end up apologizing for 2 minutes later. I bottle anger up until I can't take it anymore and unleash it on the first perso I see. You guys have given me some great ideas on what to do when I'm sad/stressed/angry. Facebook: Josh B. Creamy Arty 6,252 September 11, 2013 Share September 11, 2013 My coworkers have noted that it's pretty much impossible to get me riled at work. They've never seen me mad or overwhelmed, although I certainly do feel that way at times. In person, I rarely exhibit these feelings. I don't often on the internet either, but I've been going through some stuff on all fronts recently that's stretched my patience pretty thin, so I regret to say that I've been a little more snippy with people on the internet than I would be otherwise. Easier to let that happen online, I suppose. The first thing I try to do to mitigate these feelings is remove myself from the catalyst. Hard to recover when you're constantly being exposed to what got you in that state to begin with. Following that, I typically don't take long to mellow out. If possible, I'll start listening to something soothing, such as the FTL soundtrack (I'm always plugging that thing because it really is beautiful) or some of the traveling music from Baldur's Gate. Even closing my eyes and thinking of something pleasant for a few minutes is enough. I certainly don't want to or enjoy being angry or feeling stressed, so when I have something on my mind that makes me that way, it's a fairly simple matter to let something else take hold I'd rather have at the forefront of my consciousness. Trickiert 150 September 11, 2013 Share September 11, 2013 (edited) Taking out anger on inanimate objects is something I do often, sometimes i'll end up slamming my door to get rid of any anger. Although once I broke the left bumper on my Xbox controller doing this lol. Otherwise i'll rant on to myself or others around me to get it all out. Music also works real well or playing video games cause it's gets my mind off things. Edited September 11, 2013 by Trickiert

Quilled Inc 161 September 11, 2013 Share September 11, 2013 Like others here one of the big things I do to calm myself down is watch MLP, and that usually works. Other things that I have found to help are: -Drinking a mug of Scottish Highlands tea -Playing a casual or relaxing video game (like Dear Esther, Braid, or Journey) -Reading -Writing (often about whatever it is that I am having a problem with...) Analyst - Writer - Musician - Voice Actor "A single dream is more powerful than a thousand realities..." ~J.R.R. Tolkien
Sylentmana 271 September 11, 2013 Share September 11, 2013 I'll: 1. Watch ponies. 2. Eat a lot of mint chocolate chip icecream. 3. Sleep 4. Whine out loud, but only when I'm alone out of earshot. 5. Bottle it up where it will slowly fester into a mental illness. In space, no one can hear you squee!
Obsolete 681 September 11, 2013 Share September 11, 2013 When I'm around people? Nothing. I'll keep it bottled up so no one even suspects something is wrong. When I'm alone? Hoo boy. You'd all give me strange looks if you knew. Depending on the severity I'll pace around, talk out loud, stress eat, stare at my reflection, cry, laugh at nothing in particular, inflict moderate amounts of pain on myself by holding an ice cube in my palm until it melts, pull and tear at whatever I'm wearing. Why the hell am I typing this.
Friendship_Cannon 1,676 September 11, 2013 Share September 11, 2013 When I´m stressed out... hm, I usually listen to some good music, or just lay down (and I always start twisting my hair with one finger, I often do that without realizing, it´s strange). When I´m angry... I normally work out. Doesn´t mean I am always angry when I work out, but if you release all your power you are usually just too tired to be angry anymore, or you got new thoughts... -BleachedOne- 233 September 11, 2013 Share September 11, 2013 Blare my music through my headphones with my media player at 100% and my PC at...about 60%? I forget sometimes. It's usually enough with my Shures that I can feel the drivers thumping. Generally Avenged Sevenfold helps me with most of my rage issues, and if it doesn't, I switch to hardstyle/dubstep/dnb. Music helps me channel my emotions rather well. *shrug* ~Seraphim~ ~:What's so fun about firing at targets that aren't moving?:~ Yakumo Yukari ~Touhou Project~
Smarts 1,622 September 11, 2013 Share September 11, 2013 When I'm stressed out, I always do one of the following activities. Listen to music - This is a great way for me to relieve stress. I'm basically in my own zone, hearing nothing in the world but the tune of the song. Play videogames - I just play something that requires full focus and "Poof!" I forget what I was even stressed about because all my attention needs to be turned to whatever I'm playing. Going out for a walk - Feeling the nice breeze, getting some fresh air, and not enclosed in my own home. Freedom from all my troubles. Talking with friends - I find this helps a bunch. Just chatting with some of my online friends about anything takes my mind off whatever was bothering me. IF is best girl.
FoxyCryptid 4,330 September 11, 2013 Share September 11, 2013 I try to direct it at least semi-constructively. when if comes to music I listen to "in the mood" it will tend to be something with a edge, but towards a positive leaning, like this: I also read horror and such because emotionally draining yourself works in a weird way because the anger goes away with it, and you can concentrate on positive emotions from there. The same works form depression because nothing gives you the will to live the adrenaline rush of fear. "You know, I don't know who or what you are Methos, and I know you don't want to hear this, but you did teach me something. You taught me that Life's about change, about learning to accept who you are, good or bad. And I thank you for that." -Duncan McLeod.
Kulstor 254 September 11, 2013 Share September 11, 2013 Back in the 90's I use to play Duke Nukem 3d or Heretic in god mode for a while. More recently I meditate to relax, watch a MLP song video, watch something funny like the angry video game nerd Sometimes start doing some else, web surfing, talking to on line friends, till the feeling goes away. squareyes 153 September 11, 2013 Share September 11, 2013 When I'm Stressed or Angry, I'd normally grumble a bit like Muttley from Wacky Races. If I'm more annoyed, I'd go and play Just Cause 2 as of it being quite a good game to make you feel like you control the world and can do what you like. But I don't get Stressed or Angry often since I'm quite laided back. My OC Cherry Jackpot:http://mlpforums.com...y-jackpot-r3286
Bonko 73 September 11, 2013 Share September 11, 2013 I do math . . no jk (but seriously, some people do math when they're angry like dafaq [No offense to anyone who does that]) I have more internal anger and barely any external anger when I play video games (So much trolls :okiedokielokie: ) So, I just either watch MLP FiM or go outside. I also sleep (Sleeping for the stressed part)
idonotreallycare 94 September 13, 2013 Share September 13, 2013 When I'm angry I punch stuff. It doesn't matter if it's a pillow, a chair, or a wall, it's getting punched. I have a punching bag that I could use, but I'm too lazy to set it up. I also yell at people if they try to talk to me when I'm angry, and that calms me down a bit, but I feel kinda bad afterwards. Planty 1,053 September 14, 2013 Share September 14, 2013 Clench my fists really hard and hold it back the best I can ! I normally try my best to stop it getting to this point, but lucky I have a punch bag to release it when it gets to much! I often just walk away, but sometimes if I just loose it I throw stuff around like a mad man (admittedly I am still making sure nothing hits anything or breaks and normaly it involves water getting fired somewhere). DerpyTacos99 115 September 14, 2013 Share September 14, 2013 Lay in bed and question my existence, and fall into despair. I usually get so tired of it after a short while that I just have to find something positive to do.
