I'm working on that Weeping Angels thing, BUT... [UPDATE: 100% more Master]

...the drums told me draw this, because I need something to get me back into the groove of things.

 

 

For those of you who are wondering who the heck this creep is, it's The Master. Yeah, not the somewhat charming and totally crazy Master all you damn kids like, the awesome one* from "The Deadly Assassin", one of the best Doctor Who stories ever. He's currently looking like beef jerky due to him slowly decaying to death after spending all his regenerations at war with the Doctor.

 

It's the first (and currently best) story to be set on Gallifrey (the Time Lords are still alive at this point), there's a great conspiracy plot to assassinate the Lord President and frame the Doctor, and it had the Matrix 23 years before The Matrix. Seriously, check it out.

 

Anyway, sorry about a lack of progress on stuff you guys care about, but I just needed to draw this guy. Yeah, I know he didn't win the poll, but it isn't like I'm making a big art project based around him. I'm still doing the Weeping Angels and giving them the whole shibang, but I just needed to ease myself out of this art block first. I have a hard time buckling down on stuff like that if I don't have consistent confidence in my ability. But right now, I'm on another high, so I should be able to move forward without any problems on the Angels. Then I can do that trade with Thrashy, then finish that request on Deviant Art, and then finally get back to doing those reviews. So thanks for being patient with me and putting up with my stupidity.

 

Also, kind of a bad one to debut this with, but I finally figured out how to draw mouths on ponies. You'll be able to see it better one I'm done vectoring another incarnation of Harold Saxon (aka the one most of you want to see). Until then...

 

 

*Just so we're clear, I actually very much like the new Master. This one was just funner to draw is all. Give me a break, G.

Very good detail on the head and neck, definitely a quality work (again). My only complaint is it looks like you got a little lazy with the bottom three-fourths... I get that it's supposed to be really dark, but that's just a bucket fill. Maybe some folds/creases in the robe?

I don't exactly get the reference, since Dr Who is more my boyfriend's thing, but I do like how you made this. I love the gnarled teeth, you did that quite well. Also the design for him you made looks cool.
