First days as a Brony

This may sound like a rather odd question but what were your first few days as a Brony like?

Mine were pretty weird, because I watched all episode in about three days and I just couldn't stop thinking about the show...

I even stayed home from school 3 days because of this tongue.png

I was totally hyped and couldn't close my eyes without seeing Ponies...

About 2 weeks after I watched my first episode the hype decreased a bit.

Only after about one months I started with my other hobbies again...

So my first month was kinda weird.

Whats your oppinion and how were your first days?

My first few days were a lot better than they are now. I was so entertained by everything about the show, I always felt so good watching it. Although now something's... Different, it's just not as good as it was then.

My first few days were primarily doing nothing but watching the show. I had 2 friends watching it around the same time I was, so we talked about nothing but ponies at school. It was pretty exciting at first being a brony. A whole new fandom is always fun at first.

I thank my butt for being a brony. If it weren't for my butt accidentally changing the channel in the morning, I could've never even bother to watch the show. That was the only weird part about my first day being a brony. Then my MLP fan art kinda sucked but now it's amazing!

Well, after seeing everyone talking about how good the show is, I watched both parts of 'Friendship is Magic' and loved it so much, I started to want to live in Equestria instead of the fantasy world I had already lined up in my head. I watched an episode a day, in order. Becoming a brony is one of the best things that ever happened to me.

My first days were pretty pathetic :P

They mostly consorted of watching MLP late at night and being afraid someone would find out in the day. It wasn't before signing up here that I started becoming a little more confident in my Bronyhood and look at me now!

Now everything is cool

My first few days of being a brony were mostly watching the show. During that time, I also found myself here, but I wasn't as active as now.

I don't remember it well. One of the very few things I remember doing was nothing but watching the show during the middle of the night. I would stay up until 5 am, haha.  I did it every night until I caught up. I didn't officially declare myself as a brony until I was a while in. I was very open minded when I watched the first episode then I said I would watch another, and another, and another, etc..

Thats all I remember sadly. sad.png

My first month recently passed, at first it felt slightly weird, but overtime just like first watching the show, your cynicism erodes away and you suddenly feel welcome to participate with bronies. I am happy to be a brony, and the astonishing culture also inspires us to become creative, plus it can and has helped many bronies cope with the triviality of modern life. I hope you make friends here, and I trust you also enjoy the work and words that bronies have to say, it is be the greatest feeling to be a brony, so in close welcome to the herd.

Since I didn't have a computer/phone/anything to watch the show with, I had to resort to watching from my sister's laptop. And she hated me using her Mac, so I watched in secret. c:<

Finished the show in like, a couple of days. Afterwards I just went online to read some fanfictions.

Discovered fimfiction.net, and went on from there.

First days of being a brony, I just started to like the show and kept up hearing the new stuff Simgretina was producing and bought some toys:

I guess if I'm honest I don't remember a lot about like early days of being a brony: one day I didn't really know what this MLP thing was about and the next I'd fallen in love with it and I was a brony, I'm pretty sure I went crazy over the show and joined a forum which wasn't very good and then came here and that's how Equastia was made :)

Well.... I still had things like work to do at the time, but other than that I too was watching the episodes an awful lot... took me 4 days.

I watched all of season 1 and started changing my avatars on YouTube and other sites to ponies. I also started getting into the fanfics and other fan created content. My first days as a brony were quite busy. :P

Mine were just a matter of studying the show, getting to know things and figuring out initially why people were in such a hype over it.

Eventually the pieces fell into place, and i began laughing my ass off.

Then some old school references popped in, and the comics released and just blew my mind with the various jokes they have in there. TBH the comics being far funnier than the show in MANY ways, but the show still holding its own regardless :)

After that, my fondness just grew.

My first week or so wasn't anything special really...

- First 3-4 days were spent marathoning all of season 1 and the first two episode of season 2 before discovering I had to wait two weeks for a new episode. That slammed my good rhythm into a wall, but only momentarily.

- Whereas I used to avoid it as much as possible, I actively went looking for artwork or stories on sites like Deviant Art or videos of it on YouTube. Pretty much my typical reaction whenever I discover a new show/series or whatever

- Somewhere along the line I stumbled upon EQD, which led to me finding more sites like Fimfiction and the like.

I will note that it took a little bit longer than usual for the "new fandom glow" to fade, kinda helps when I was still humming the songs to myself a month later.

I didn't even really watch the first few episodes in the beginning. About 80-90% of the time, I was constantly looking over my shoulder just hoping no one would spot me.

Kinda funny the stages I and many others went in with this whole thing in a matter of days (In no particular order)

  1. Denial: No big deal, I'm not really into this. Not like I actually am gonna like a freaking My Little Pony show.
  2. Depression: I think...I think I might like this. Damnit, what is wrong with me?
  3. Anger: How the fuck could I like a show about ponies? God damnit, I'm never gonna live this one down.
  4. Bargaining: Look, maybe it's not that bad? I mean, there isn't really anything wrong about this, and it's pretty good...
  5. Acceptance: MY LITTLE PONY MY LITTLE PONY AHHHHH AHHHH AHHHHHHHHHH

1. Holy crap I love this show, I can't believe I like this of all shows.

2. I like this show and have nothing against bronies but I don't think I am one.

3. Applejack is so awesome, I don't know what it is I like about her but damn.

4. Ponies, ponies, I can't stop thinking about ponies.

5. Ah what they hey, I am thinking about them so much I might as well call myself a brony.

Mine, like most, were filled with enthusiasm. well, it wore off. now I'm kinda meh about it. i love ponies andall, but it's not the same you know? it was so different the first time that I felt like a 5 year old being innocent again XD it was fun. but kinda awkward.

i had to wake up at 3 am to watch it when nobody was awake and tell my mom i got up early to finish homework ever day for a few weeks. xD

Well my first few days were all about watching the show and talking nonstop about ponies during gym class with my friend who told me to watch the show. Ah, good times :)

I still watch the show regularly when I'm bored. I just go back and watch old episodes for the heck of it IMPATIENT for Season 4.

But overall my first few days as a brony were pretty great :) I fell in love with the show, and knew that I must finish it and become a brony.

I literally watched all three seasons in one week after becoming a brony, so that's al I did in my first 7 days.

And then I cried because I had to wait so long for season 4.
