Why don't you just find your parents or something before you get hurt?" Aphrodite asked sarcastically. "The Litany lets you double your special talent, smart one. That's not going to help much of remembering." Aphrodite thought he was lying: all talk of Discord himself freeing him and him being trapped in ice. It sounded as real as a Pegasus using magic.

Tactic looked Willow over, as if to ensure that she wasn't hurt.  "I...  Do not know.  I did not wish to see you hurt."  He turns his head to look at the new unicorn again, extending a wing between Eclipse and Willow.  Why am I acting like this?  I'm going to blow it if I keep this up...

 

"Stay close, and I will ensure you do not come to harm."  As he spoke Tactic turned to look at Willow again, a slight smile back on his face.  "I cannot speak for the rest of those in this expedition.  I will do what I can, however."  Thankfully, it didn't seem as though Eclipse was here for a fight.  Not at the moment, anyways.  You are supposed to be a strategist, not a soldier.  Stop this foolishness!

"Did you hear a single word I just said, imbecile??" Eclipse asked, a little ticked off. "I don't know where they are! I don't know WHO they are! I don't remember ANYTHING prior to being frozen!" He exclaimed. "I do not wish to destroy Equestria. All I want is to discover my past. If I find this Litany, it could potentially grant me the ability to discover it."
Blast walked beside the angry Eclipse. "Just humor him. He's really desperate. He's been looking for his answers ever since he was released."

Eclipse grunted at Aphrodite and began to turn around. That is until Blast stopped him before he could get too far.

"You seem tense, man." Blast commented.

"Does that come as a surprise?" He asked sarcastically. "If you're not going to help me find the Litany, let me go so I can continue on."
Blast thought that over. Perhaps the Litany could help him in his pursuit of his past. He then turned to Aphrodite and signaled her to come over to him.

"What do you want?" Aphrodite asked, clearly in a sour mood because of the newcomers. Nothing Blast would say would cheer her up at this time: not that it was easy to cheer Aphrodite up anytime, anyway. Aphrodite meant what she said though; she didn't want to see that stallion again.

Crimson fell back to the ground but landed on his hooves, watching the newcomer with narrowed eyes as he argued with Aphrodite and yelled something about Discord. "Discord? What does this fool know about him? Hmm...I think I'll ask him...after I punch him in the face..." thought Crimson before walking over to Eclipse with a glare. "No offense...but who the hell do you think you are, kid? That's foolish and dangerous to just walk up to a group of unknown, use magic on hem, and threaten them...so, what makes you so cocky? and what do YOU have to do with Discord?" asked Crimson skeptically.

Eclipse laughed at Crimson.

"Look at me and look at you. Who do you think you're talking to, boy?" He asked. "You're looking at a stallion that could push any of you into the stratosphere in a second." He said, grumpily. "I have nothing to do with that fool Discord. He set me free from a carbonite prison and I stabbed him in the back. That's all you need to know. I'm simply just trying to hunt the Litany down and restore my memories of the past." He said, getting a little more angry with the group. "Now, are any of you going to help me in my pursuit, or are you just going to keep getting in my way?"

 "He wants us to help him recover his memories." Blast explained to Aphrodite. "We'll find the Litany and do what we need to do with it, then he can do what he needs to do with it."

Everypony seemed completely distracted by the newcomer...  And that didn't sit well with Pavisa.  It seemed as though they had all forgotten about the alicorn somewhere in the woods, most likely angry that his sister was missing.  Speaking to nopony in particular, she mutters "If we're going to be here for a while, then I'm going to at least step out and make sure the perimeter is secure...  With our luck this 'Orion' is going to burst into the camp while everypony is distracted."  

 

Without really waiting to see if anyone was even paying attention she slipped off to the side, planning to make a wide patrol around the group.  It seemed like it was going to be rough going.  It was easier to see farther out here, but the ground was much rougher than she was used to.  Tch, I better be careful...  I'd look like a right fool if I twisted an ankle while on a simple patrol.

Tactic lowered his wings, bowing his head slightly towards Willow.  "If that is your wish, than I shall respect it.  However, should you require anything, you need only speak it.  I will not be far."  The tactician smiled at her again - he was having difficulty keeping his face a mask around her the way he normally did.  You fool, get in control of yourself.

 

Forcing himself to put on his usual bored expression, Tactic turns his gaze towards the new unicorn, Eclipse.  His analytical gaze focused on this new unicorn; he still had a job to do as a strategist.  Unstable.  Violent.  Wild card.  If he is after the Litany as well, it will take re-calculation.  "Curious," he mutters to himself under his breath.

"I hope you're right. Because I don't think I can trust him!" Aphrodite shouted the last part purposefully for Eclipse to hear. She smirked smugly over at the stallion, then turned back to Blast. "I hope there won't be too many newcomers.. I'm starting to get sick of em'."

"It's okay; I probably won't call you for a bit. Thanks anyway, though!" She hugged the stallion, despite the fact she barely knew him.

Crimson merely scoffed at the idiotic and cocky stallions taunts. "I already have, and what I see, is me, a trained killer, and you, an diotic little colt who thinks he's an alicorn...but I suppose its always the small dogs who bark the most...right?" Said Crimson mockingly, his anger also rising.

 

((Crimson REALLY hates stallions who think that they're all powerful, so I have a feeling Eclipse is gonna get on his bad side VERY quickly...))

I'm in no way a trained killer, but if I have to fight to protect myself, I'll do just that. I believe that this Litany will help me in that pursuit." He then took a good look at Crimson. "You seem like a very capable stallion. Since we have similar goals, perhaps we could help each other out."

"Hmm...it's possible...okay, I guess I'll help you out...but only on three conditions...1. don't pretend to be the strongest here, it only causes fights and to tell the truth, I'm not too fond of it myself. 2. You must travel with our group and not cause trouble, if you put up with us, we'll put up with you. 3. and most important...if your goal somehow end up hurting or endangering any of my friends or other innocent ponies...then I'll have to stop you from completing it...but that's only an if, so don't get too offended...anyway, do we have a deal?" Asked Crimson.

Eclipse thought for a moment and nodded. "Fine. I shall follow these guidelines as long as you follow them, too." He turned around to the camp. "Though, if I were you, I'd stay out of my way no matter what. Like I said, I won't let anything get int the way of me finding out the truth." Eclipse walked over to a good patch of grass and lied down.

Blasted Nova walked up to Crimson and put a hoof on his shoulder.

"Don't worry about him. He'll cause no harm." He assured.

"I could not have said that better myself! Well, perhaps I could, but that was perfectly adequate might I say. There is something which I wish to add to these rules however..." Redwave declared: having watched the display for a moment. Too weak to intervene: he stepped forward only when his strength seemed to have returned to an adequate level, playing with the almost-black gemstone around his neck as he did.

 

"I am tired of these disputes so I shall settle this now: and this applies to each and every one of you, so hark and listen to me!" He said, raising his voice.

 

"Being the only one here to have witnessed the true power of a Litany of Magic first-hoof, I have one simple rule which I shall now be issuing. Until such a time as this last Litany no longer threatens us, you will heed my advice! I have no desire to Influence you in any way beyond keeping each of you alive, but I will not accept responsibility for any injury or death that results from refusing to accept my word! Is this cl..."

 

He trailed off into silence as the ground shook and the sound of another shockwave each odd in the forest, painfully close to their location. Then another, even closer. Somehow, it sounded angry.

 

More than angry - it sounded furious.

I was afraid this was going to happen...  The guardpony had been patrolling the outskirts of the group when the shockwave nearly knocked her off of her feet.  She stared at the woods where the sound had come from, slowly starting to back her way towards the party.  

 

I shouldn't have looped so far out by myself...  While her plan had just been to check the perimeter while the group had been stopped, she now found herself very close to the sounds of some kind of angry source of power.  She was currently in between the group and the last place she had heard the sound from...  And she was afraid.

 

What should I do?  I could try and get back to the group before it detects me...  But that could lead him right to the others...  Her only hope would be to try and reason with him, she decided.  There was no way she could put up a fight against the alicorn - by herself she would be little more than an annoyance.  With a shaking hoof Pavisa reached up to take off her helmet, and then called out into the woods in the direction of the last shockwave.

 

"Hello?"  Well, I'm in it now...  Pavisa swallowed nervously while waiting to see if the source of the shockwave would respond.  Celestia help me..

Tactic blushed and froze when Willow hugged him.  He had absolutely no plan about how to react to that, and it completely caught the tactician off guard.  "I, er...  You see, it's..."  

 

He was rescued from his awkward attempts at a reaction by the shaking ground and the sound of a shockwave.  He spread his wings out to help him keep his balance, extending a hoof to Willow in order to let her hang on to him in case she needed to.  Dropping his voice to a low mutter, he quietly says "I think...  That things may be getting interesting soon..."

"What was that!?" Willow asked, looking off into the direction the shockwave came from. Willow abruptly let go of Tactic's hoof and narrowed her eyes, thinking that it will help her see better. "S-show yourself!" The mare attempted to say bravely.

"I'm sorry, I don't want to be rude but I don't think you should handle this if you don't know what to do exactly. If you want to learn you can watch and help with what you know. First, we should see to his burns," Silver Heart said as she lifted an iron lancet out of her bags. One side consisted of a sharp blade and the other a blunt probe. "Now first we're going to check how serious these burns are. Blizzard, I'm going to press the probe of my lancet against your burns.... I need you to tell me whether you can feel it and before you ask, 'yes' this will probably hurt a fair amount but it is required." Silver Heart then pressed the probe against his burn. The medic spoke to Midnight as she worked her way from one side of his body to the other. "The reason I'm doing this is to check how serious his burns are. If there are any that Blizzard can't feel we need to get him to a specialist." Thankfully, Blizzard could feel each press of the probe. 

 

Silver Heart smiled at Blizzard as she poured a very small amount of a reddish brown liquid into a cup. "The worst is over, dear. Drink this then Midnight and I will do what we can for the rest of your injuries." She said as she levitated the tincture towards Blizzard's mouth. Silver turned back to Midnight, "This is Laudanum. It's an extremely powerful painkiller and sedative. We'll wait a few minutes and then we can start setting his broken bones. After that, I'm willing to let you handle everything else. While we wait though you can help me treat his burns. We're going to pour a thin layer of honey on his burns and then wrap them in linen. Everything else will be easy."

Rakon looks at Sand.  "You want to walk around camp, see what some of the others are doing?" He asked looking around where the others were then he looked back at Sand.  "Or would you rather just stay here?  Maybe you'd like some of the others."   He said to Sand not sure what Sand would say.

Midnight listened intently as Silver Heart explained what she was doing to Blizzard, making sure to keep a mental note in case he ever needed these kinds of wounds again. "Honey and linen, got it. As for the broken bones, I already have them levitating in proper alignment, so we just need to set them." Midnight said to Silver, still levitating Blizzard off the ground. Midnight then began applying the honey to the burns and wrapping them in linen as he finished stitching all of the cuts that needed it and applying bandages to them.

Silver Heart nodded, "That's good. The laudanum should have kicked in by now. We can set his bones without worrying about him moving or feeling too much." Silver Heart joined Midnight as they began to set Blizzard's bones. "I'm going to give you some Laudanum for him. He needs to take a dose every three or four hours for the next day. The dose is exactly 15 drops. Anymore and he may die."

The sound of the forest shaking echoed through the camp as it gradually, clearly grew closer. The shock-waves created each time the Alicorn warped to a new position were something terrible to observe: strong enough to have uprooted a number of smaller trees clean out of the ground through sheer force.
 
The power of the Litany - amplified by the raw emotions Orion was going through - was enough to easily ignore the pain. With the help of the voice in his head and his own sheer determination, he was spurred onto levels of power that might have even put himself at risk without the guidance of the voice.
 
Closer and closer: each of the spells triggering a bright nova of light which packed a blunt force strong enough to damage the forest itself: he might not have known it - but Orion was closing in on the camp.

"O..O..Orion?!" Willow cried, recognizing the power and anger that her brother possessed. Willow took a many dangerous steps closer to the direction she heard her brother from. "Orion, can you hear me?" Willow asked quietly, but was still sure he heard her.

Crimson felt and heard the immense shockwaves of power emitting from nearby in the forest, it was undoubtedly Orion. Crimson quickly became serious and got into fighting position, his body igniting into flames as he drew Helios and waited for Orion to emerge.

Oh, buck this!  The explosions sounded like they were practically on top of the guard now, and it seemed as though they had no intention of slowing.  When her call went unanswered, she fell back to plan B.

 

Plan B consisted of slamming her helmet back onto her head and turning tail to gallop back to the camp as fast as she could.  Getting caught out here by that, by myself...  It's not going to end well!

Tactic followed close to Willow.  He made no effort to stop the mare, simply staying next to her.  "Be ready..."  Glancing back to make sure none of the others were close, he lowers his voice so that only Willow would hear him.  "I will ensure you are reunited safely with your brother.  Should battle be unavoidable, get to a safe distance to wait for him."

 

After yet another explosion he sighs to himself, turning his gaze to the direction of the sound.  I suppose this was going to be unavoidable...  I would have appreciated having more time to make my evaluations, though.
