Have you ever been robbed or had anything of yours stolen?

As the title suggests, has anything like that ever happened to you?

A long time ago for me, my bike was stolen from my back porch, but I tracked down the little fucker that took it. When I confronted him, this little kid didn't look like he knew what he was doing and gave it back without any conflict.

Also, around the same time, someone stole my mom's plants from the same porch. Never found those. -_-

Yeah: I left my scooter and my bike out on separate occasions and they both got stolen.

Raleigh Big Shot and my Quick Step Micro scooter: back when Micro scooters were a new trend before they became the norm.

No idea what happened to the bike: but some kid was riding about on my scooter once and I recognized it as mine but nobody believed it was mine and I just let him keep it.

This one time a bunch of guys suddenly started following me, then suddenly.. Just kidding.

There was this one time, my calculator was stolen. It was a scientific one, so I guess that's why it was stolen. Other then that, there really hasn't anything been stolen except for maybe pens and etc.

Yep, once.

A bunch of morons broke my locker (trying to find a iPod probably), and they stole my old Gameboy Advance and my Pokemon Firered, my best childhood memory. I finally found someone who had a cable and the same game, so we would play together, but these shits come and ruins everything. I bought a Leafgreen, since these are now collectibles, I paid it 41$. -.-

I am not materialist, but this is one of the few things I cherished. :(

My bike was stolen... one month after I was given it for my birthday. I was late for the bus and had to ride my bike to the bus stop to make it, and my parents never bought me a lock for the bike. I hid it in some bushes, it was pretty tough to see, but when I got back, it was gone. Never saw it again.

I wast at the theme park Portaventura and left our bags in the box's before a ride, WHERE YOU ARE MEANT TO LEAVE THEM. We weren't even allowed to take the small bag on the ride with us! So we waited two hours, left our bags, the ride was really fast and didn't take long at all. Then all of our stuff was taken. 70 euros from my wallet, thousands from my parents, the credit cards and the passports which I had no bloody clue WHY they brought them to a theme park.

Yeah it was a terrible summer vacation in Spain.

Unfortunately, several of my "friends" in the past have betrayed me and stolen from me, however, as for actual robberies, as in strangers breaking into my house to steal things, not so much. Which is a pleasant surprise considering I live in the worst and just generally most crime-heavy part of town.

not really, A cheap ass android phone....

Though there may be a lot of tobacco use/smoking/weed and such in my age group, people don't really steal stuff becouse here people can afford it. The school property on the other hand.... someone once stole a projector.... MOUNTED ON THE CEELING... WHILE THERE WAS TEACHERS THERE...happy.png

A few years ago, when I went to my back porch, I realized that something felt weird. Within two seconds, I realized that my heavy bag from my boxing stand was gone. I didn't think that someone would go through the trouble to steal it, since it weighed 100 pounds. Thankfully, I had a second heavy bag, which was given to me by a neighbor a few months before.

Where to start....

In high school and elementary school, I've had pokemon cards, Yu-Gi-Oh cards and 4 bikes stolen....not fun. Especially when I relied on my bike to get to and from school. Walking 30mins vs biking 10 mins.

We also had someone break in to the house a few years ago, and they stole a bunch of meat from our freezer in the front porch and backpacks to put it in....wtf. Who steals meat from someone's freezer? We've also had outside Christmas decorations stolen.

I also lost out on a rather large sum of money from a previous job.....I never seen any of what I was owed. But my boss from that is behind bars now.

Some people....

I had all my gameboy advance games stolen from me by my "friends" back in Elementary. I also had money stolen from me by a relative once. I have taken extra precautions since then.

I've been in this situation before.

I had a Halo Special Edition Original Xbox stolen from me. I had just moved out of my mom's house and in with a friend. One day we were going grocery shopping with some other friends of mine, and I left my wallet at my new place. I was going to go back and get it, but one of my other friends kept saying, "Don't worry about it, we can cover it." But being someone who doesn't like charity when it can be avoided, I went back to the house.

When I got there, I knew something was wrong. The window by the door was opened, the door was unlocked, and all the lights were on. When I looked around, I noticed my Xbox was missing from my bedroom, and the television it was hooked up to was on my bed. Nothing else was missing! My wallet was even sitting on the television in the living room plus about maybe 50 dollars cash. img-1919979-1-angry.png

The thing about it was, only people that had been there before knew how to get in. My roommate never had a lot of visitors though, so someone had to know to open the window by the door (the lock was broken), and reach in to unlock the door from the inside. I called my roommate and other friends, and they got back to our place. Obviously I called the cops too, and they took statements, and dusted for prints. They did find some, but most were too smudged to be any good.

So yeah that's my story. I have an idea that it was that one so called "friend" of mine that tried to keep me at the store. He was so determined that I stay there, plus other factors that have popped up during our "friendship". Plus while I was rushing back to the house to get my wallet, I know I saw a friend of his in the area with a back pack. But in the end nothing came about it. I broke ties with my so called "friend", he was bad news anyway. I figured he had some involvement, but never could prove it.img-1919979-2-unsure.png

I also had money stolen from me by my half-brother, around 80-100 dollars, which mysteriously reappeared and was considerably short too. Before anyone suggest that I misplaced, and miscounted it. I knew how much I had at that time, and when it reappeared it was not where I had hid it.

Sadly I've been a thief myself.img-1919979-3-sad.png  Still to this day try and make it up to the person I stole from. I know they've forgiven me, but I still can't forgive myself for it, especially for the reason I stole.. just plain stupid.

Heh, I believe it was 8 years ago from this month that some guy high off of meth went in my backyard and uprooted a small tree and took off with it. Cops caught him a few days later, yet no sign of the small, defenseless tree.

That and I had a guy try to steal my shirt from my locker once. I think a lot of people learned not to steal anything from me every since.

When I was 16 I worked for an amusement park in Virginia named King's Dominion.

Lots of things about that place sucked. During my second season there, a new policy was implemented that store employees (such as myself) couldn't take any money or even their wallets to the areas in which they worked. We were required to leave them in our vehicles or get a locker in the locker room. I eventually got a locker to save myself from having to walk half a mile into the parking lot. When heading out to lunch one day, I went to the locker room to find that my locker had been pried open and my wallet stolen. This wasn't a huge shock. The locker room was always a mess, and some of the lockers looked like somebody had taken a can opening or something to the top of them, as they were rolled back like the lid of a sardine can. Nearly every locker had at least one sizable dent in it, somebody once smeared vasoline on all of the locks, one of the urinals shot water at you when flushed, and one of the faucets sprayed water in a 360 degree circle with none of it actually going in the sink. Surely the most disgusting place I've ever worked. Thefts were common.

After reporting the incident to security, they simply laughed at me. I had already given my two-weeks notice because school was about to start and I wanted my weekends back, but after that reaction from security I immediately told HR I was done and just walked off the job.

I was in Colorado one time when it happened. My father and I left to do something and we left our camera and camcorder in our hotel room. We came back, stuff wasn't there anymore. We never saw them again. And they had some pretty cool pictures and videos on them too!

Besides that, my mother also attempted to take my sandals away just because she could fit in them. A couple pieces of framed artwork made by me came before that.

YES. Back in high school I lent this little ass-face my Game Boy Advance copy of Zelda: LttP, and he never gave it back to me. I periodically bugged him for it back, but he was always like "Soon, soon! Almost done with it!" After a while, I stopped seeing the little piss-ant around campus altogether, which either means he started avoiding me (and very well, at that) or transferred to a different school.

...It's almost a decade later, but I'm still pissed off about it.

Had a $500 Android tablet stolen from me, a $200 money order, and my PS2.

Mind you, this has been in just the past year. Waaaay too many things to list in years before.

I've had my bike stolen cuz I didn't lock it up and thought it was safe. I've also had a LOT of my games stolen because we let neighbors into our house. I hate neighbors because of it. People aren't allowed anywhere near my stuff.
