gaming LSD: Dream Emulator. Anyone heard of it?

It's a game where you explore the bizarre realms of dreams. It was based on a dream journal kept by a game developer for over 10 years. If you haven't heard of it, either look it up and prepare to be confused or get it on the japanese PSN and prepare to be more confused. For those who have heard of it, feel free to express your opinions on it here.

This game is weird even by Japan's standard. It's beautiful.

 

It actually reminded me of some of the 90's PC games I used to play a lot.

I've never heard of this game, but I might try it out. It lives up to its name though, because it looks like the character took LSD

I have heard of this game and I have watched a number of playthroughs of it. It's a lot of fun to listen to the player's reactions as they go through some of the weird stuff in the game. I have never went through the game myself though, perhaps someday I will.

This isn't really the type of game you would buy; it's the type of game that you just download off the Internet. (Mainly since you either need an old gaming system to run it or just a computer that can run the emulator.) Also, the game is very expensive due to it's odd nature, lack of copies, and large demand.

i played it on a emulator on my PC. it's.....really weird.

like, you can just walk into anything (walls, railings, lamp posts, everything!) and you will be transported to a different area.

also, there is no ending from what i know of, so you are just wandering through a very strange world.

I forgot about it being so rare. I'll just get it if my computer can run a PSX emulator (which I highly doubt) or I could watch a Let's Play if anyones made one (probably not.)

There are videos of people playing the full course of the game (which the game consists of "days" of periods of time which change as the game progresses) and they have like a 100 videos of them doing EVERY option possible.

I have heard of it, and I've seen playthroughs.

From what I've seen, things can get really out of hand. Giant Head Man, Demon Claw, Grey Man, Hanged People, etc. It's freaky but it's a really interesting concept and I wish I could play it.

I played the crap out of this game in high-school on an emulator, trying to discover everything you could do. It's a lot of fun late at night when you don't know what to expect.

I loved it.

I watched Cr1TiKaL's gameplay and commentary of it, but I've seen nearly every one of his videos.

 

I want to try it on an emulator, though. If I could only find a way to extract without using WinZip, then I'll be golden.

You definetly should try the game! You can always use 7-zip to extraxt any .zip or .rar archives, and it's free. Just a little tip, don't play late at night if you don't wanna get scared.

I have heard of the game several times over the years, and have recently watched Yamimash take a crack at the game. It... It's one of the weirdest games I've ever seen!
