If Nightmare Moon had won?

What you would say would happen if Nightmare Moon had won in another universe? 

 

It's quite likely, due to there being no sunlight that the entire world become a barren icy rock, devoid of life, all the plants would die, and towns and cities would be buried under mountains of ice. And all life would either freeze or starve to death.

 

That would be a happy kid's story wouldn't it? XD

 

But what about you? What would you say would happen?

 

The return of Discord may actually save the world in this universe, or at least allow life to continue. With his ability to control the sun and Nightmare Moon lacking the Elements of Harmony to defeat him.

Well, there would be no sun obviously.

 

And that would mean all plant life would die out, all of the herbivores would starve, the carnivores would probably be forced to turn to cannibalism to survive...so the only living creatures would be those controlled and fed by the same Nightmare forces that controlled Luna (that's the only conceivable way she could survive on the moon with no food or water for over 1000 years).

 

So, if she won, there would probably only be possessed ponies inhabiting Equestria.

 

Discord would probably only have the sun return, because evil ponies would be more likely to attempt to end his life, rather than imprison him in stone.

 

Besides, I don't think aggressively evil ponies would be as fun for him to toy with.

If the night lasted forever then there would likely be solar problems just as would happen here on Earth if it stopped rotating. Everyone would freeze to death eventually until the chaos would awaken Discord in which he would save everyone.

But wouldn't only half of earth freeze and be desolate? Nightmare Moon's plan didn't really make sense, everyone could just move to the other side of the planet. Then she'd be even more alone...

Well, I think you're a little off base in bringing up pokemon. Team Rocket ALWAYS captures pikachu once an episode. The problem is they can never KEEP pikachu.

Well, I think you're a little off base in bringing up pokemon. Team Rocket ALWAYS captures pikachu once an episode. The problem is they can never KEEP pikachu.

that's exactly what i was saying, by comparing nightmare moons bumbling to team rocket and just how much would need to happen for her to have won.  Her plans pushed 6 strangers into being the closest friends.

 

There's a term for that, EPIC FAIL.

I didn't necessarily see the elements  binding with the main six as dues ex other than Nightmare moons bumbling triggered them.

 

Was the CMC waking up discord Dues EX?  cause that's essentially the same thing.  IN FACT it's the exact same damn thing.

The CMC jump started Discord feeding into his word.  Which is chaos.

The main six jump started the elements of harmony by emboding all 6 words.

Sure they were smashed,

so lets play that exactly the same.

 

suppose discords statue got broke in the shuffle of the cmc. the energy of their chaos reforming it and releasing him,

Equestria's moon is actually inhabited and actually has its own biological ecosystem. Its even breathable for ponies. And NMM was sealed IN the moon, not on it. She could just fly back or teleport if she was just put on it (its so close to the planet you can literally walk it)

 

So it kind of a works like suspended animation so breathing and eating we'rent a a problem. However suspended animation is not a great idea when said person can dreamwalk,..

Unless they couldn't, of course.

 

And Team Rocket often caught Pikachu...Even moreso in the newer series since they've become relatively competent.
