Well, I used to spent a lot of time writing and reading MLP fanfics on FIMFiction and the weirdest recurring theme I kept seeing that would occasionally pop up is Nicholas Cage.

 

I don't know if it's some kind of inside joke or something....but, I don't get it.

Oh boy, I remember those. I don't get what that is about, but I find myself giggling quite a bit when I see one of those Nicholas Cage stories. I just feel compelled to read it and it ends with me laughing like a maniac. I love those stories in a very weird way.

I stumbled upon Equestria after dark. I know, rule 34, and all that, but I was kind of disappointed. It's a kids show FFS. Took away a little of the magic for me.

I remember once thinking seriously about proposing to SpaceX putting a Rainbow Dash decal on the faring for a Falcon 9 launch.

 

That would only get public exposure for about 45 seconds but it would also probably cost in the order of a quarter of a million dollars.

The craziest thing that I've seen associated with MLP, would probably be all of the Fallout related fanfictions everywhere. It was pretty much something that I didn't expect at all to become so popular.

I've seen plenty of crazy things the MLP fandom. Besides Cupcakes, R34, and not to mention really bad BronyCon cosplayers, that's most of the crazy I have to report.
