Research Project Survey

Hello, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place.

 

I am doing a research project for school regarding the prices of digital art and how people feel about those prices. If you would please fill out the following survey I would be grateful. It is only about six questions long and shouldn't take more than a minute.

 

If you consider yourself primarily a producer of art, please take the top survey. If you consider yourself primarily a consumer of art, please select the bottom survey. They are exactly the same, it is just part of collecting the data.

For the consumer survey assume the artist and the quality of art to be about average.

Just a comment on your survey: 

There seems to be something off with how you worded out the first two questions. 

 

 "1. How much money would you expect a full body full color safe for work digital painting of a character to commission for?" 

 "2. How much money do you think the piece would be worth?" 

 

Is question 1 asking about how much I expect a piece of commission to cost?

And was question 2 asking about how much I think a commission would be worth based on its cost, or is it asking about how much it is worth based on an artist's effort and time? 

 

Because of how it is currently worded in the survey you have given, it might seem as if the first two questions are redundant, thus rendering the third question confusing. 

 
"3. If there is a difference, why?" 

 

This third question over here wouldn't make much sense if the first two questions were asking the same thing, which I don't think is the case. I'd like to believe that this question was typed out with purpose, and so perhaps it might just be the first two questions that might need a little revision. 

 

These are just my comments, though. I have no control over what you want to survey! xD 

I just thought that some of the questions seemed a bit confusing.

Honestly, I really don't like commissions much. They have beautiful work, very much so. Its just that, many are so arrogant over it-they don't realize it either. I mean, yeah, you say you take xxx amount of time, and you put xxx amount of effort, but that doesn't mean I should pay 20+ dollars for x picture when I should be getting the full body ANYWAY with the details. Plus, if you get money for doing so on characters that aren't yours, it just seems really wrong to me. On top, you can just download it anyway...
