they're cute but i don't like being around babies for more than an hour. I prefer 5+

babies and all kids pretty much love me though.

I don't hate them or dislike them (a lot).

They are a pain, and stinky. But they are pretty cute.

If this was about 4+ or so, I could easily deal with that.

Yeah, true.

And yeah, after the first 2 or 3 years they get a little less mantinence.

Because well after 2 or 3 years they can speak they can walk they can eat(most of this they can do by like 1 or 2 but still) and they're also very likely potty trained by 3. If not 4. Which means you can go places and since they have been potty trained a bit they'll be able to wait for more then 5 minutes without saying "I have to go potty" in the middle of something. Well they might still do it, but not as often. Plus no diapers which sounds like a pretty big plus considering the cost and the grossness and the fact I don't know anything about changing diapers anyways so frankly the sooner I can stop worrying I'm going to unintentionally hurt my child.

There's also the fact that you don't have to deal with potty training really probably by age 4. Which means you don't have to deal with the time consuming of potty training, as well as the messy accidents, which can almost be worse then diaper change from some things I hear... Especially with boys who for obvious reasons are a bit harder to train.

Of course im sure girls have their troubles and challenges with it to.

One of my aunts sons during potty training seemed to get a little confused with where was ok to go. Because he apparently peed a lot of

Places randomly and went a lot of places he shouldn't :P.

Girls could get confused to I guess, or of course have accidents.

But yeah overall I have to agree that I like the past the babies toddler age a little more.

But babies can be cute to for their own reasons.

Ill have to deal with it all regardless when I have my own children. The parts i like and don't so yeah :P.

That'll be a while though...

Dang, i really rambled.. Sorry about that :P.

Babies are cute, cuddly, and heartwarming,

but I do NOT want to touch or hold them. Whenever I hold them or touch them, I feel like I'm gonna drop or kill it or something. I know it wont happen, but the thought is just too much for me.

Yeah.

I'm really paranoid I'll drop them, and I'll never forgive myself for it.

I actually dont think I've held one before just because of that, I'm not even sure i know how.

I mean they're so small!! My fingers are like the size of their whole hand! They look so fragile!

So yeah I don't blame you about being worried.

I guess eventually I'll get over that fear once I have my own children.

Babies are bothersome, needy beasts. And newborns are always ugly so I don't know why people say they're cute.

From the age where they can first talk to about seven or eight, kids are cute. Any younger and they're a burden, any older and the world gets its clutches dug in and starts to ruin them.

They crap themselves, they smell, they're loud, they drool, they puke, they get sick, and they're expensive.

However, I'm sure the feelings you get from knowing you have a baby are great enough that even though it may get annoying at times, you still are glad you have one.

Also, I don't like holding them. I'm always afraid I'm going to drop them or something, or that they'll throw up one me. Having a baby throw up on me would be great karma for me. You see when I was a baby I threw up all over my aunt when she was holding me. It's bound to happen to me one day.

Yeah that's true, they have a lot of different issues, including being even quite expensive. Especially with stuff like food and diapers(diapers especially, I mean everytime I've been around babies they get changed like several times in a few hours, obviously babies don't have big bladders or anything :P.) so yeah take that over at least 2 years and that's some crazy money...

And yeah if they get sick I might get sick with my weak stomach.

If you have a boy they also can pee on you. My little cousin did that to my aunt when she was changing him once. Not the most inviting thing, that sounds quite disgusting.. I'm sure I'll end up happening to me, especially since I have never changed a diaper.

Oh and besides being worried I may drop them when picking them up, the whole thing with them possibly getting sick isn't to inviting either.. I'd be worried myself.

I also get worried that they might pee on me, they have really small bladders after all, and I dont know if I totally trust a diaper to get everything..

But them getting sick would be worse, hopefully i wouldn't get sick to...

I'm sure all of the worries will happen one day, but I'm sure I'll be fine.. I think... And regardless I'll still love my child when I have one, which is still gonna be like 6-7 years at least.

Sometimes babies are annoying and cry a lot, on the other hand they are adorable and are very cute. I try to tolerate them at movie theaters or at other attractions, it takes a while getting used to it.

You know I can't say that baby crying has ever been something that's really gotten to bother me, I notice it, but I cant say I ever remember it bothering me much.

Maybe that will somehow come in handy when I have my own kids :P.

Meanwhile I have to work on the fact that for a gig I have a really weak stomach :P.

Babies have their ups and downs I guess, cute moments, plus it would probably be quite the experience to see them grow up before your eyes. Ive already witnessed cousins grow up, and I don't see them that often, so having my own child would probably be even more interesting to see grow up.

you gotta hold them

You really don't. Only weird coddling hippie sorts insist on constantly holding a child, and it more often than not ruins the kid because the parent's a loony.

Like this chick I know, her sister insists on carrying the child personally in her arms everywhere...Said sister is obese which begs the question of why she never takes a bloody jog if she's so willing to exercise her arms anyway. But I digress. She treats the slightest bump like the apocalypse and even waits around by the crib at night, literally talking the kid to sleep because "he needs to know I'm there for him"...I'm just like "No, he needs you to quit staring at him while he naps, you creepy overbearing b#%&*."

I don't like them...:eww:

...Sorry, but they're just so annoying! They cry all the time, they smell bad, you gotta hold them, and ughh! They are NOT cute! They look like little aliens...creepy. :eww:

I am NOT looking forward to when I am a father and have to deal with this. I've got 10 or so years until then, hopefully, so no sweat. :D

Well I guess not everyone likes babies equally. And even i don't find them my favorite stage, actually as much as I love kids it's probably my least, from my non child experience life :P.

I guess if you don't want to you dont even have to have kids. But it depends on if you just don't like babies or what.

I like them, although I am worried about some things, like changing diapers, not vomiting everytime they do, not having them vomit on me, not accidentally hurting them, dropping them, or just messing up things.

Hopefully I'll learn by the time I'm actually a father though.

Yeahh. I doubt I'll ever be too fond of babies, but that will never keep me from being a good father.

I'm going to make a point to be just as good a father as my own was to me :D I'm pretty sure I wore on his nerves plenty, too.

He told me a story about one time when I was a baby, I crapped myself when he was carrying me into a store, and it went all over him. Ruined a shirt he got at a Pantera concert, which was also his favorite. :eww::(

Just something you have to deal with, I guess :D

There ok: not such a fan really. I would like maybe to have a kid of my own one day, but babies (if there anything like I was) make lots of noise and are hard to look after.

I’ve seen well maybe more toddler age group than babies: but I don’t like people staring at me and toddlers sometimes do that.

Yeah, I want kids, the baby stage sounds pretty difficult and worrying though.

And I'm sure that the vast majority if not all of us where pretty annoying and difficult as babies :P. I was.

And yeah they do sometimes stare, seems like kids are just mesmerized by me sometimes, I think it might be that they realize I'm kinda crazy though :P.

Although kids seem to take some liking to me sorta, hopefully I retain that charm, I wouldn't want my own children ignoring me :/.

I feel like most of my fears about children are just simply fears that won't be as bad as I think.

Yeah that's ok, sorry if I jumped to any conclusions, I didn't mean to offend you. So sorry if I did.

And I'm gonna try to be a good father, even if I lack experience a good bit, since I've not really ever been responsible for more then playing with babies. And even kids in general I've not had to be responsible for much. The most ive ever had to do was when I'm with my aunt take my little cousin to the bathrooms as the oldest and most responsible boy I guess, and help him, which only required me pulling his pants up and down which isn't exactly what I'd call something that takes practice.

And my father is real good. He's an awesome guy even if I don't express it a ton to him. It's admirable to hear your going to strive to be a good father like him :).

And yeah I'm sure I'll have to deal with all kinds of crap with my children. I'm sure I was pretty annoying and a handful myself, even if my parents haven't told me many stories about me as a baby. Oddly enough.

Well except my mom saying how i use to pee in my diapers immediately after she put a new one on..

In a way it's better then my aunts son, he peed on her one time while she was changing him. Seems like a boy thing I guess oddly how it happens right when they change him...

He also liked to pull his pants down during potty training when he had to pee, and pee on different stuff in my aunts house, she was not happy. Seems like a bigger issue with boys maybe, but i suppose girls could do the same. Still I hope neither my son or daughter do that... What a mess.

Apparently he pooped in the floor once to. Funny thing is I think it's partly confusion since he didn't seem to get he was wrong at first. So you almost couldn't be mad(almost :P)

Even though I hope I won't have to deal with it I'm sure I will probably anyways, I'd better get a stronger stomach by then.

And dang, that must've sucked for your dad. I would've been mad, I'm always afraid when I'm holding a baby that they'll pee or poop on me.

It will probably happen eventually if I have children, but I still want to hopefully be a good father if I can. Even if again I'm a bit lacking in experience.

Guess it's part of it, I'll probably learn to deal with it, as will you I guess once I get kids and you do as well.

Dang I rambled a bit much.. Sorry.

I hope I didn't come across as offended

Anyway, dude, it's supposed to be hard as hell raising a child, teaching them all that stuff...

But my dad did it by himself. Not only that, but he left such an impact on me that I strive to be like him everyday, even if I don't remember him all that well since I was only 10 when he died.

It'll be hard as hell raising a kid, but if my father could do it by himself, and leave such an impact on my life while doing it...

...then I can, too. :D

If I could be half the man he was, I'd be very proud of who I had become.

As for the Aunt and Cousins and whatever...gahh. That's supposed to be what raising a kid is like :eww:

I'm not going to like raising a kid, but I'll love having one :D

And about the rambling, don't sweat it, dude :D It's fine.

I just thought that me saying you could just not have a kid might have come off as offensive.

And yeah I guess that's probably true, I guess through the hard work of it I'll pick up the ropes I guess.

Nobody ever said it was easy for sure.

And dang all by himself? That takes some guts, Seems like a lot of guys aren't as interested in the raising and let the women take care of the children mainly.

I want to be involved in my child's life though.

And your father sounds like a great man, I'm glad he left such an impact on you.

I'm about his passing though. Sorry for bringing that up..

And that sounds like a very noble goal. I wish you luck in raising your children.

Hopefully I'll make a good father, or at least a decent one, despite my lack of experience :P.

Yeah, I guess that it's a part of it probably that I'll have to deal with at least once at some point in

Raising them.

And that's understandable, raising them is hard, but I think it'll be worth it.

I'll probably have at least two actually, a son and a daughter, so I can experience both, even if as a male I'm not sure how good I will be at raising a girl, since I don't know as much about it, especially when doing things like changing since I don't want to accidentally harm them. Hopefully I'll have a wife to teach me how to do that though.

And yeah, I tend to ramble a lot, if you get to know me you'll quickly realize that :P.

Well you said

And I remembered that because Mark (David Mitchell) said he had an fear of children in that part

Oh. :P.

Well I don't exactly have a fear of children, but more a bunch of fears about raising children, mostly due to being unsure im experienced enough, but Yeah, I get what you mean now :P.

I love babies. I can't wait to have some of my own.

Glad to hear! I hope your prepared for the trials to! But glad to hear your so excited!

Of course I'd wait until its a good time to actually have them, but yeah

I'm not interested in any human bellow the age of 10. Let's just put it that way.

Basically: I don't like babies, I don't like children. I just don't like human beings that can't properly articulate themselves. Also, to me, babies look like these disgusting and bizarre big-headed bald aliens. Whilst the adult human form isn't too bad (though not my favorite), the infant human is one of the least cute animals I have ever seen. Puppies and kittens are adorable, much easier to take care of, and five times more intelligent. Also, they aren't as shrill and don't make a noise that nature purposefully designed to annoy me. If possible, I'd like to avoid them in the future.

What really sucks though is that everyone expects me to like them because of my gender. They always want me to go crazy over this... strange creature that I don't understand. And I'm like, "Please get that thing out of my face." No offense to people who like them. But if I tell you I don't want to hold that baby, then don't shove it in my face. My sister has one and she enjoys doing so when I tell her I'd just rather not interact with the child until it can speak and do something more than shriek for necessities.

How did this happen?   I don't see how one would have the ability to.

My mum gave me one she was looking after to hold, winding it or something and it felt like it was trying to choke me.....

I suppose babies are something that you can either grow to love or to hate. In my case, I definitely love them, and I don't say this just cuz they look cute (they do). I've had some experience with them since I was 14 when my sister was born. I've done my share of work, like putting her to sleep, giving her food, changing daipers, etc. Hard work but it was definitely worthwhile ^.^

I don't know... I know it's strange, but for the longest time I didn't know what to think of them. Then I became an aunt, and then one of my friend's sister had a baby, and now one of my friends has a baby. The latter having just occurred a month ago. I got to hold him, and I couldn't possibly deny the cuteness. The more I get to be around babies, the more I like them and realize that I wish I could have one someday.

..But I've admittedly not even had to babysit any of them by myself, so I never got to deal with the not-so-fun parts of taking care of a baby. And I am NOT ready for that! xD So even though several months ago I was all like "OMG... I need a baby" (I'm crazy, I know), I'm happy with being that aunt that holds the baby for a while and then hands him/her off when they need a diaper change. xD

Well, considering I have known 2 of them since their birth(my nephews), and have been a large part of their lives, I certainly love babies. Sure, the earliest stages can be hard to deal with, but the more they learn, the more rewarding they are to be around. My experience with them has certainly made me want to have my own someday. :)

Babies are vile, disgusting, ugly messes of cells. It's all "WAAAAAH! ALL MY NEEDS ARE MET! WAAAH!" The less babies there are, the less traffic I'll have to deal with. I have a niece as well that I will apparently *have* to hold. Luckily for me, all my pants have pockets.

Chalk up another hate vote.
