I'm afraid that, as I said before, I cant accept Sole. I'm happy to look over any other characters you might want to submit, but both his power and his backstory would conflict too much - a thousand year old son of what could possibly be an Equestrian god - that has trained to be a brutal mercenary, just wouldn't be balanced at all. Even without magic he's just too powerful - physically and story wise.

I should probably mention that while I might not always respond to everything that happens in the RP: I do try to read it all. I also try to remember what characters have said and done, so that I can use it later.

 

In other words, learning about companions, or forming friendships / rivalries might be just as useful as finding a food supply or new weapon.

 

Example - don't think I disregarded your post with Eclipse trying to fight the rift earlier - depending how the RP plays out, that could be very good or very bad. Or both - but I wasn't just ignoring it. I like having decisions effect the future as much as the present.

 

So all of you! Don't disregard downtime as useless! Little things might save your lives!

Whew, I've missed quite a bit it seems...  I just wanted to leave this here to apologize for my posting this week!  It was the first week of my Spring semester, so I haven't been really with-it mentally.  Plus my phone has been messing up, so I've been having trouble keeping up via mobile (It sends me notifications in the wrong order >.>)

 

I also feel like the posts I did manage to get up this week, as few as they were, aren't up to my normal standard (May just be me, I wasn't too happy with my posts though), but now that I know how my semester is lined up I should hopefully be back to my usual posting quality!

what are you talking about? He may be strong, but he's not some kind of unstoppable demigod. Besides, he may have been brutally trained but he's peaceful now, he just likes to fight for fun. And if I took away his magic, it'd really limit him.

Well, the rift was powerful, and as I said, Eclipse going against it was like a junky neighborhood sedan trying to run down a monster truck.

backstory has nothing to do with it. The events in This rp and sole's backstory don't conflict, the closest thing to it is celestia and luna being in it. But never mind, I won't argue any longer.

Things like "How him being the son of an immortal does not belittle this RP when its theme is closely centered on a book that can grant one the status of a demigod?" or "How him being 1000's of years old makes it unreasonable for us to expect him to just write them off as 'just another happening among the mortals' After all, if your backstory is true then he has witnessed events such as Luna's banishment and The defeat of discord during a very long war."

Though please remember that these are just harmless and perfectly reasonable questions, it might be a little rude to just declare that they have no effect without answering them in some small way.

haha, "another happening among mortals"? You really don't know sole's personality. And he only saw discord get banished, he was sealed right after. And he's 1000 cuz he was sealed almost the same time as discord, so he didn't age while sealed.

Just an uodate, I know this RP doesn't update much on the weekend but I may not e postingnkuchif at all ths weekend. On Saturday morning I drive way out in the country fora black smithing class. And then Subday I have plans that may take all day or just be totally canceled. I'll try to oat tonigh if I can.
