I just saw the episode on Youtube. I like this Luna. When she was princess 1000 years ago, she needed to show her power and authority. Now, Celestia is loved, not feared. Luna doesn't know what to do.

Only minuses = no Rarity and Fluttershy not in a costume (although it fits her character why she wasn't)

 

I imagine that Rarity was resting after making pretty much everypony's costume. Perhaps if they had said something to that effect in the episode it would have been better but with all this Luna, I am far too distracted with the lack of Rarity.

Possible irl theory for why she isn't there: Tabitha St. Germain had ALOT of the lines in this episode. It was likely too much of a strain on her voice to put her in as Rarity on top of already playing Zecora and Luna.

getting back on topic, I'm glad luna zapped dash at the end. It shows prankster luna is canon.

 

and I'm a bit disapointed that luna didn't do the 'deear princess celestia' bit. It would have been different and nicer imo.

I thought this ep was great! Luna sounded a little different to what I thought she would but it wasn't really annoying to me. I'm going to have fun going back and picking out all the ponies and what they're wearing.

 

Two things I noticed that stood out to me, they used Trixie's music at one point for luna and Colgate was dressed as a dentist.

I really enjoyed that episode. Luna was really nice. This episode exceeded what I expected and I expected pretty high. I love this show and how they do that to me.

Luna had that same "Stuck-in-the-past" personality as Lucario from pokemon in "Lucario and the Mystery of Mew".
