*Spoilers* Scootaloo being an Orphan

Mywas

Recommended Posts

So I watched the new episode.

So now we know that Scootaloo lives in a house rather than an Orpanage.

So does this mean that the "Scootaloo is an Orphan" Theory is false? I sure hope it is, It has gotten boring since 2012

I'm honestly one of the bronies that believes pegasi are orphaned after a certain age, when the pegasi are considered old enough to fend for themselves.

Hm, maybe! That idea seems really interesting. But...Scootaloo can't fly, and, if this theory is true, why would her parents consider her able to fend for herself?

But I dunno, they coulda looked past the wing thing. Just a thought.

I don't know, but if my theory is correct, it would be much like the tradition of birds, where after a certain age, they are forced to leave the nest and make their own homes, and if the bird cannot fly, plummets down to the earth and will be left, so maybe pegasi are like that, who knows?

If you look at the marble pillars at the front of that house and the large fenced in area behind it, there is no reason why that couldn't be the ponyville orphanage.

Not seeing parents isn't the same as not having them. Without more information either way all we have is theory and speculation, which is fine and I actually like there being an air of mystery about her life.

People have often pointed to what happened to Fluttershy, falling out of the "nest" clouds at flight camp, and seemingly having no pony concerned, as proof of the Pegasus being some what uncaring. I'm not sure I buy it.

Eh, I don't know.

1) Who said they were marble? I've seen painted wooden pillars like that used on houses all the time.

2) Have you never seen a big back yard? I see that all the time too.

3) I paused the video at certain places. Scootaloo's room only has one bed. The building doesn't look any bigger that the other houses next to it. So unless it's like a Tardis, there's probably only like 4 bedrooms at most. That's a very small building for an orphanage, especially if the bedrooms aren't being shared.

I don't mind if Scoots is an orphan, but this looks like she lives in a regular house, not an orphanage.

I don't think I buy it either. I don't think that most of the kids there were paying attention. If one or two DID see her fall and told an adult, it would have taken time to go find her. We only saw her on the ground for a little bit. Who's to say she didn't get picked up soon after that?

Maybe she's fostered? Notice how her room looks. I don't like the design, it doesn't really give off that it belongs to Scootaloo. It just doesn't look like a room Scootaloo would have for some reason. It looks too plain for a pony like her. (I was expecting mass Rainbow Dash posters...or drawings, either way.) On top, maybe more friend pictures. (Like having some pictures of her friends on the wall) Anything, it just was too plain for a filly's room, especially one as bustling as herself.

I was actually thinking that after I posted.

She COULD be in a foster home. But yeah, I definitely don't think that's an orphanage.

Well she DID have more posters up, but she took them down. She did keep up the Rainbow Dash picture though.

Maybe she keeps her RD fangirl stash at the CMC Clubhouse though. That is where they hold the fan club meetings.

Plus that view of the home gives no indication as to how deep the house is.  It could be quite a large "house" with a small opening into it (which would be what would be expected of an orphanage).  There could be several rooms just like scootaloo's in design.  Remember there probably aren't more than 4 orphans say in a town like Ponyville so it would not be THAT big of a building.

Unless they kill the parents when this happens they are not orphans. When birds are kicked out of the nest it's because they are practically adults. humans are supposed to kick their kids out at adulthood too.

I think you're reading into this a little too much, and there were Rainbow Dash posters.

Honestly I'm tired of the "every Pegasus is an orphan" thing.

She had 3 posters at most in that trash, on top, a scooter. (One would think after you went through so much crap to get that scooter back from the pitfalls of hell, you'd love it more) I was thinking maybe it was a foster home due to the lack of posters or eye catching Rainbow things. Even with those posters, it was about the Equestrian Games, maybe put up recently at that. I can't see it as an actual home. It seems more of a foster home because of the lack of decoration, maybe a few others live there.

Wait, why would she have her shrine in her clubhouse? She's no Helga, she can't manage to hide her shrine that long.

Im sure someone said it already, but Scoots could still be an orphan.. but has her own room since shes probablly older than the others.. Or she has parents, but they're away on business or something..

OR (super plot twist) Celestia has a home in Ponyville and is Scoots real mom, but told Scoots to keep it quiet

No she doesn't hide it.

They hold the meetings there at the clubhouse. So they hang up all the RD decor when getting ready for meetings.

Don't have to bring it with you every week.

I don't think she's an orphan. Just because we haven't seen her parents doesn't mean she is one. Also, seeing her room makes me think she does have parents, or some sort of guardian figure. I mean, imagine Scootaloo being a disabled orphan, I don't think the creators would make her life that sad.

I think that Scootaloo is living with a family for sure considering the house she came out from. (I'm not saying it's her family...)
She must have the room on the upper floor, considering the layout we've seen during the sceene inside the house.

Also I think I've spotted something interesting:

Scoot_2.jpg

So, I think the house in the background is clearly the Quills & Sofa Shop that we've seen some times previously, beacuse that is the only house with a roof of dark green color.

What do you think? :)
