Razor thought the sandshrew gijinka was pretty cool so fsr, and he had a cool jacket to match. Though he didnt seem as strong as Lhee. "Ive never experiennced a sandstorm or any battle with that type before but hopefully wont have to." Sand in the eyes didnt sound nice at all to her, but wasnt grass good against ground?

"Okay well we can very super much be training partners!" Lolita decided and gave him a hug. "This year is going to be great!" She smiled at dome gijinka looking at the two of them strangely. Some people had their set definitions of "cute couple."

Upon hearing Zach come up to the both of them, Dusk stood up from his position. Now he tells him about the library...why would they want him for a double battle anyway? Dusk was far from efficient in a fight, he couldn't Night shade himself out of a paper bag...that was soggy. But...something compelled him to do it, maybe to let off his own steam, but who can tell.

 

"Alright Zach...I'm not to good at it but...I guess if there's nothing better to do...can't even do my report anymore..but it is for a grade so..yeah I'll come.." Dusk said a little defeated.

Darius nods with his characteristic smile playing across his face, locking his office door and turning to lead the way to the gym.  "Alright, then.  Not sure if I approve of a two against one with a first year, Rune, but if he's agreed to it..."  The Delphox professor shrugs, making his way into the gym and moving over to his desk.  He sits down on the edge of it, his tome resting on his knees and ready to keep an eye on the matches.  Once Zach shows up, anyways.

Lhee nods at Razor when she mentions that it would sound painful.  "Yeah, don't think you'd enjoy it...  Mostly ground, rock, and steel types that get along with sand, I think...  Not to mention it blocks the sunlight."  All of a sudden he chuckles quietly, grinning as he thinks back to when he was younger.

 

"I remember back when I was a Cubone, some punk from Johto had come through the region.  Caused a lot of trouble, a Tyranitar gijinka, could call sandstorms anytime he wanted and was annoying as hell...  Didn't think anyone would stand up to him in the sandstorm.  Turned out he was all sand and no bite, he had to be years older than me and one of the adults came out to pull me off of him, they found me sitting on his back whacking him in the head with Bone Club over and over again...  Rock types are all talk..."

 

 Lhee blinks when he realizes he'd been going on about himself, quickly turning his gaze down to his mostly finished lunch.  Thankfully his skull hid the blush creeping onto his cheeks.  "Er...  Sorry."

"Did you say something about a double battle? Mind if I come along?" She hoped they would let her come along with them, even if only to watch. She would be out of the way and it would give her a chance to see them battle.

"Well, Professor, I wasn't really for it myself, but if he wants to, I don't mind it." He said, shrugging. Rune made his way to the gym and pulled out his pokeblock case, chomping on a yellow pokeblock. He extended the case to Professor Darius. "Want one? I would offer one to Nik, but he's already said he doesn't like them at all."

Zach scoffed and smiled at Dusk.  "Don't worry about it. Even weak or defensive moves can be useful if used right, if that's what you're worried about. Let's go!" Zach turned and headed towards the gym, hoping Dusk was in tow behind him. "Oh and you can come too if you want... I don't know your name actually..."

Dustin nodded and smiled at Lhee's story. "I use to be a bit of a roughhouse when I was little. Used to Dig up under random kids in the village and tackle them to the ground. Got in trouble quite a bit form that, hehe..."

Darius chuckles and shakes his head, holding up a hand.  "Oh, no thank you lad.  One too soon after waking up is terrible for the teeth."  The older Delphox grins, his teeth very similar to those of the fox-like pokemon he was related to.  It didn't matter to him too much that a student knew he'd been taking a nap in his office - Rune had been in class with him before, and it certainly wasn't anything new.

Lhee can't help but smirk at the thought of Dustin tackling people from underground.  "Heh...  You know Dig too?"  His thoughts briefly drifted back to his TM's locked up in his room, but he pushed them out of his mind.  They were still his little secret.

Dusk was following Zach close behind keeping up with his eager speed, though he wasn't as eager. The day had been going pretty awry with Dusk and he wasn't all too hyped to have his butt handed to him. Might as well end the day with a grand finale of disaster. Though it never occurred to Dusk that he'd ever be included in a double battle. Not much others had that much faith in his cooperative abilities because of how terrible he'd do in singles. One thing was for certain, he'd learn something from this experience, be it positive or negative.

Melissa calmly walked with Dusk and Zach. To her, this was a stroll through the park. She was used to faster speeds than this. Especially in the water where she was in her element. She could outrun this group if she wanted to but she didn't want to seem like a ditcher.

Nik grinned as he continued buffing himself with Calm Mind, Sharpen, and Harden. He wanted to be extra careful, a two on one was nothing to sneeze at. Still, with enough luck and buffs, he'd have a pretty good chance of pulling it off. Still though, Rune and Zach seemed skilled compared to Synthia and Dusk

Zach shrugged at what seemed to be Melissa's anger at not knowing her name. "My memory's pretty shit. Sorry I couldn't remember your name." Zach noticed a look on Dusk's face, as if he wasn't too thrilled with being in the battle. "Hey Dusk you don't have to fight if you don't want to. It's understandable." Zach flashed a smile and continued walking.

Dustin smiled and nodded. He felt more at ease talking to another ground type, and the two seemed to have at least a little in common. He was happy to be making friends so soon.

( I know this skips over alot of things that might have happened but, im very confused by the last few pages so bare with me please!)

 

    Amaya peeked up over her storybook to Zoe, offering her foxy friend a small understanding smile.

"It seemed like you had calmed down from earlier... But i suppose not?" She asked, her soft voice echoed the smallest bit as the lunch crowd started to trickled away. Not that lunch was about to end, it's just most people had things to do, and little time for it. Zoe might have been trying her best to hide her nerves, but to someone like Amaya, it was easy to spot the signs. The little twitches of her little blonde Fox-like ear. That surely smile of hers lay stiff on her lips, and the midnight black of her original hair color was starting to ink its way back through the roots of her hair. Subtle. Amaya bit her lip, thinking it over in her mind before she continued

 

"If It would help, I....could be your partner? I mean-... I-I-It's just because...Well, I don't like to fight either and...and.." She voice trailed off, as if she couldn't find the right word to say.

Zoe blinks at Amaya, one of her ears twitching again.  First Melissa, now Amaya...  Well, you're going to have to do SOMETHING...  Otherwise you're going to fail the class...  She looks over Amaya as the other girl talks, weighing her options before giving a soft, almost defeated sigh.  

 

"I, uhm...  I guess that wouldn't be so bad..."  Amaya was so quiet and gentle, from what Zoe had seen so far...  At least she seemed to have the least chance of actually hurting her, if even  by accident...  Deciding that she likely wouldn't find any better options that didn't include her flunking out of battle class, Zoe's smile comes a little bit more naturally.  "Alright, then.  And I mean, it's just supposed to be like, sparring and stuff right..?  So like...  Neither of us should get hurt..."  

 

Zoey didn't mention that she only knew one move that could actually hurt someone if she used it - she'd never had a need to research those kinds of moves before!  Not to mention so many moves she did try to learn ended up incompatible with her illusions.

Dusk looked up at Zach and merely flashed a smile back, though that'd be hard to see.

 

"No no, I think I'm going to have to battle one of these days...and it's part if our grade so...I'm forcing myself whether I like it or not...besides, I'll be able to learn something from it. " dusk said trying to find as much positive within this as possible...but he was right in that he HAD to battle at some point in his stay here...maybe it won't be so bad...he did bruise easily though. He exhaled under his breath and continued to float along as they continued to come closer to the gym.

Zach nodded and continued walking until the doors to the gym were in sight. He felt bad for kind of pressuring Dusk into fighting with him, but Dusk had said himself that he would have had to fight at one point so it eased Zach a little. He walked through the doors to the gym and found everyone already inside. "Found him! All ready to go?"

"Alright, perfect. I'm ready to go." Rune said, drawing his sabers. "So, Synthia, did you learn any new moves with your evolution or something? I should probably know them so we can coordinate a strategy of some kind." The Gallade Gijinka said. 'Considering she's evolved, she might have lost access to Helping Hand, which would have been nice to have, but hopefully we'll still be able to take them. I'm not sure what Dusk knows, he could have an awesome or a terrible move set for all I know, and since he's Ghost type, my fighting moves won't affect him.' he thought to himself.

Melissa slipped around the group and headed over to where she saw Nik. She saw that he had an air of confidence about him.

"Hi Nik. I know you don't care much for partners but, is it alright if you would let me be you're partner?" Melissa asked sweetly. She hoped he would say yes but would understand him if he said no.

Zach smiled and took out his seamitars. He always thought the name was stupid but the odd shaped blades were the only things he had found himself to be skilled with, so he put up with the name. He turned to Dusk and leaned in to whisper. "Maybe you should tell me your moveset so we can work better together. I got Swords Dance, Rain Dance, Razor Shell and Scald."

"If you want, sure" Nik said, inwardly cringing. The last time he had fought with a teammate, it hadn't gone well. It ended up with Nik accidentally taking out his own team. His first team mate he knocked out by accident when a Hyper Beam missed the target, second team mate when he failed to check his targets and used Triple Kick on a team-mate, and third when he got tangled with a team-mate, resulting in both of them getting owned. 

 

"Anyway, what moves do you know?" Nik asked, trying to avoid the same fate as before. He'd just fight away from her and let her handle herself, if she had trouble, then he'd intervene. "Oh, but right now, I promised a 2 vs 1 to Zach and Rune, so don't help me for that battle" Nik informed. He would not need any help in a 2 vs 1

She was surprised he actually said yes.

"Thanks for letting me be your partner. As for the moves that I know they are Aqua Ring, Aqua Tail, Aqua Jet and Water Gun. What about you? If you have a lot of moves to tell then just mention the ones you know best. As for the 2 vs 1 I'll let you handle that. I'll be sitting over on the bleachers."

"Alright, I know Teleport, Triple Kick, Reflect, and Bone Club well" Nik informed, flicking his tail slightly. Her move-set was alright, but she need to ditch Aqua Ring for something more useful. "Oh yeah, don't get too buddy buddy, either, that interferes with winning as you get distracted" Nik grunted

"Interferes with winning. Okay so, you know two Normal types, one Fighting type and one Ground type. That's an interesting moveset you have. I think I'll be going over to the bleachers now." She left Nik to head for the uppermost bleacher. Hearing someone snore lightly she turned her head around and saw Joshu sleeping. She left him be and moved closer so that she could see better.

When Dusk had finally arrived at the place of battle, he was already getting the weak knees from nervousness. Upon hearing Zach whisper to him about his move set he swallowed a bit and whispered back.

 

"Well... I know Night Shade, Shadow Sneak, Hypnosis and Will-O-Wisp, but it's been a while since I used any of them..." Dusk said as he sweated a bit. He couldn't believe he was really going to do this...but Zach was counting on him, this wasn't the time to get intimidated it nervous. Dusk took a deep breath and exhaled as he calmed his pre-battle jitters. He'll have to do his best, not get in the way, and be a good support, though what the other team had in store? Was something he couldn't let leave his mid or guard.
