"Quick, Zach! Hit him while he's slacking off!" Rune shouted, visibly drained after using Close Combat. He wasn't really hurt, but any other hits he took certainly would. Hopefully he'd be able to get a psychocut in, if not another power up punch. If only he knew Smack Down to keep Nik on the ground...

Nik grinned, That would be wonderful. He kept his mouth shut though, didn't want to tip his hand yet. Still, if Zach even though of getting close...well, Zach would be hoping he had Special Defense to take a hit. Nik still couldn't help smiling slightly though, revealing a glow in his mouth

Zach jumped up to hit Nik, but quickly backflipped away. He had barely seen it, but there was some form of light in Nik's mouth. And if Nik was keeping his mouth shut for once, then it must have been something good. All Zach did for now was throw a Razor Shell and try to spew another Scald.

Rune's eyes narrowed as he saw a glow in Nik's mouth. "Zach! Don't stop moving! Be unpredictable!" Rune shouted as he started dancing around, somewhat maniacally. "He's got some sort of beam move primed, and it's going to be powerful, just keep moving! Those types of moves are never completely accurate, and he'll likely need to rest a bit afterwards! HYPER BEAM!" He yelled, running around in a random pattern.

Nik disappeared, dodging both attacks. He reappeared behind Zach, and opened his mouth as he did, unleashing his fully charged Hyper Beam. Nik had finally mastered Teleport in favor of Foresight and was able to combine Teleport with Hyper Beam to appear right next to Zach and fire the beam point blank

Rune dashed towards Nik and Zach, but it was already too late. Zach had been hit with the Hyper Beam, but now was not the time to wait around, he readied himself for another Close Combat, and started wailing on Nik. It wasn't about training anymore. This kid needed to be taught a lesson. All these restrictions? Acting like a ponce? Yeah, in Rune's eyes, he needed to taken down a peg.

Zach saw Nik disappear and reappear right next to him. A white glow shined in Nik's mouth and grew brighter and larger. "Aw fu-" Zach went flying into the wall when the Hyper Beam hit. He grunted and groaned, barely getting himself back up. He saw a blue glow around him and looked at Nik incredulously.  He's hit me once and Torrent's already up?

Nik growled in pain as the hits him and was tempted to fight back, but he laid still. His pride could stop for now, he knew that Darius would break up the battle soon. A particularily hard hit to Nik's stomach made him change his tune. 

 

"Ingrate" Nik hissed as he brought up his tail around Rune's throat, using Giga Drain. To hell with taking the beating silently

"GAAAAAAAH" Rune shouted in pain. Since he was in such close proximity, he fired off another power up punch. His defenses may be low, but his attack would keep going up at least. It was quite painful, luckily it wasn't a perfect Giga Drain, so it wouldn't sap too much of his health, but it would still keep Nik up.

With the last of his strength with the rain still up and his Torrent active, Zach threw one of his swords at Nik in hopes that he could do something to get him off Rune. He knew it wouldn't do too much with all of Nik's defenses, but he hoped it would at least give Rune a chance to end it.

Synthia came back and saw... this. She caught everything after the hyperbeam. She dashed in and her ribbons wrapped around appendages on both fighters. According to the pokedex, this forced peace. "This match is no longer a spar. Time to go back to our separate lives, right?"

Nik growled and stepped back, nursing a bruise where the Power-Up-Punch had hit him. 

 

"Of course" Nik nodded, looking at his stump of a tail. It had been cut off at the joint by Zach's sword.

"I must admit, that actually hurt....impressive" Nik complimented reluctantly. "Indeed, it has been a long time since I've had such a work-out" Nik muttered, using Slack Off to regrow his tail.

"As for you, you deserve some praise as well" Nik chuckled. As arrogant as Nik was, people who (he believed) were still weaker than him still deserved some praise if they got close to beating him

Rune felt an appendage slip around his arm. It made him feel... tranquil. Like the fighting he'd been doing for the past hour or so had never even happened. His power started to ebb as his muscles relaxed. He started to slump to the ground as he felt himself grow tired. He heard Nik say something, what it was though, he couldn't make out. He just felt like he needed some sleep. And so he did.

After seeing that the intense battle was finally over, the Floatzel gijinka walked over to Nik.

"Please remind me to never get on your bad side. Ever. Other than that, why did you try to strangle Rune?"

Seeing the Sylveon gijinka run back in to successfully break the battle up, he tried again to figure out who she was. Walking up to her, he asked,

"What's your name?"

"He was beating the snot out of me and Giga-Drain works best when it has a direct source to grab" Nik muttered, before giving her a look of caution. "But seriously, it is better to be on my bad side, at least then you're prepared. I'm not the best team player" Nik chuckled, failing to sound funny

Zach nodded silently and Nik in a sign of respect, despite him trying to cheat and trying to choke out Rune. Zach was too tired to say anything, the initial rush of adrenaline from Torrent starting to dim down. He walked over to pick up his sword, giving a short wave and a smile to Rune before walking once again the nurse. Despite Nik's cockiness, that Hyper Beam did quite a number on him. Although Nik most likely had buffed his Special Attack before the match. The nurse was slightly surprised to see Zach in the room twice now, but she said nothing of it and tended to the scratches and slight burns left from the energy of the Hyper Beam. Afterwards, he decided to head back to the lunch room, although he assumed it would be over soon (longest lunch ever). He walked in to see the newly evolved Dusk, as well as Zoey, Amaya, and several other gijinkas he hadn't aquainted himself with yet. He came behind Dusk and gave him a slap on the back. "Congrats bud! Never got to say it properly back there! I have to say you look pretty buff. Might want to try learning some stronger moves. Maybe Shadow Punch or something. Not really good with Ghost type moves..."

"Okay then. I'll keep that in mind. I'm going to head over to the cafeteria now. Maybe I'll see you later?" She giggle slightly and without waiting for an answer, Melissa headed off for the cafeteria. Seeing that mostly everybody was still there and gawking at Dusk, she changed course and headed back to her Dorm for a bit of peace and quiet. The day had been too hectic. It was only the second day! There's bound to be more days like this on the way.

She smiled at the newcomer, "I'm Synthia. Rune's g- roommate." She caught herself: it sounded like she cleared her throat. She winked, "Now I have to get my reason for evolution to the nurse. He's out cold. But first, your name." She picks Rune's form up under the armpits and extended a handshakable hand.

(Not tagging anyone in this one, because I'm playing a little bit of catch-up...)

 

Darius lowers his wand - he'd begun surrounding the three combatants with Psychic to pull them apart when Synthia had jumped into the middle of everything.  "That is quite enough.  Any further and someone will wind up hurt."  As the group of students slowly starts dispersing, Darius nods quietly towards the combatants.

 

"Make sure you all check in with the nurse before you plan to do anything else today."  The Delphox gijinka adjusts his glasses with one hand, levitating his tome off his desk to tuck it under his arm again.  "Sparring matches aren't about who wins and who loses - they are about improving yourself and your fellow students.  Remember that."  He stands there for a short while, just to ensure that they weren't planning to try and continue the fight, before walking from the gym back to his office.

"My name is Joshu." Joshu extended his own hand and shook hers. Seeing her pick up the Gallade gijinka he wondered about something.

"Is it alright if I join you to take him back to the Nurse? Also do you do archery? I couldn't but notice the bow on your back." He asked her.

Amaya started to sweat nervously.Hello? H-had he forgotten who she was?! Did Evolving erase someones memories?!?!!?!?!HOw terrible! How horrible! I don't remember that happening when i evolved....w-wait, What if i CANT remember !! WAAAAAHHH! Suddenly she grabbed Dusk face, squishing his cheeks in the process. With a panicked look, she turned and tilted his head every which way as if she was trying to SEE the amnesia. 

" D-Dusk! Do you remember me??!?! It's me Amaya! Ah-My-Yah. Remember? Im a clumsy little duck, remember! " She turned his face to face Zoe at neck breaking speed, her usually gentle voice squeaky and loud from panick. " Y-Y-You remember Zoe, right? oh zoe, hes gone! He's gone foreeeeeeevuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrr!" *Amaya panick intensifies*

Nik snorted and teleported to Amaya. He didn't need any healing. Amaya was easy to find. A teleport later and he was squashed between Dusk and Amaya. 

"Oh God, I don't like threesomes either!" Nik shrieked in panic as he was smushed between the two. Amaya's feathers did feel kind of nice though.

Joshu grabbed his feet and followed Synthia towards the Nurse. "I've always wondered about evolution. Meloetta's can't evolve and I've always been curious about that. Did it hurt when you evolved?" He doesn't know why he couldn't ask the others. "Wait a minute. Last night I saw a girl fire her bow with extreme accuracy at the archery range. I noticed that you have the exact same bow. You couldn't be her .... could you?"

She visibly cringed, "The exact same bow? My last bow was a slightly smaller, wood-colored, and had a whk telling plastic draw string. This one's pink and strung with a ribbon. But, seeing as I was the only one in the range last night, I'd assume so..." Was this the guy I accidentally blew off the other night???
