Dustin shrugged. "I guess... But Dark's gonna have to fight at one point or another whether he likes it or not. That's just kind of what that class is for. I'm not completely into battling but I know I'm gonna have to do it. What are your moves by the way? We should coordinate ours with each other."

"Yeah you're probably right about Dark having to battle. As for my moves, they are Relic Song, Perish Song which isn't as bad as it sounds, Psychic and Close Combat. The reason why I know both a Psychic type and a Fighting type move is because I can change type. What are your moves?"

Dustin nodded and thought about the move. He wasn't too familiar with Meloettas but he knew about the whole Relic Song type change thing. Perish Song would be useless in a double battle. The other two would most likely work out in their favor as well. "Dig, Scratch, Magnitude and Sandstorm. The sandstorm might hurt you a bit, but it's honestly a good sacrifice cuz it allows me to be able to keep up with the speeds of other gijinkas."

Joshu thought about the Ground type moves. Sandstorm would be good as Dustin can use it to his advantage ... Magnitude would definitely work if he got a high Magnitude Number ... the other two work as well. "The moves sound good. Especially with Sandstorm being a huge benefit to you, like you said. Magnitude would be good if there's a high number involved."

Still kneeling in front of his two friends, he sweated a bit awaiting for anybody to respond to his apology. Though upon feeling that gentle pat on his head, he felt a gentle comfort wash over him. He looked up at Amaya from his position and couldn't help himself but smile at her immense kindness. He stood up and sighed a bit, but upon hearing the reason for her....troubled disposition. He immediately turned his his expression from one of relief, to a stoic seriousness.

 

He turned his back and looked around the room. A harsh silence befell the entire cafeteria as they waited for some kind of explosion if anger from the once before unstable ghost boy. He looked at Zach with his serious expression as he contemplated on what to do next, then towards Zoey...and finally towards Amaya once again coming full circle.

 

After a few moments to himself he finally turned towards Nik and began to walk towards his direction. Stopping in felt of him a fair inches away he managed to speak.

 

"Nik...in front of the whole cafeteria as my witnesses..I challenge you to an official battle. Not today...not tomorrow...but by the end of the week. That'll give us time to both train before then. If I win...you apologize to Amaya. And if you win, I'll take a request no matter how ridiculous or embarrassing it makes me look. I will uphold by it. You will accept this duel whether you like it or not, concede and you have to apologize regardless." Dusk said quite serious but in the calmest manner he's ever been.

Nik gulped but nodded. "F-fine" Nik stuttered. At least Dusk was giving him time to train. Nik began racing to find loopholes in the rules he could abuse. He had already come up with an idea, but he'd have to execute it very carefully. Nik smirked as he thought up his plan. He wanted to see how Dusk reacted to many vs 1

Zoey smiles at Zach when he rejoins them, then focuses on extending her illusion over Amaya.  It was a little more difficult than using one on herself the way she normally would, but after a bit of concentration Amaya would look the way she normally does again.  The other girl wouldn't feel any different, since it was nothing but appearances changing, but it was all she could really do under the circumstances.

 

She quietly leans in to whisper to Amaya during a break between her and Dusk's conversation to whisper "You'll have to stay close, I don't think I can keep it up if you get too far away..."  The Zorua girl smiles at Dusk, though when Nik approaches again and Dusk issues his challenge Zoe's ears go back and her tail tucks down as though it were trying to go between her legs, it just wasn't long enough.  Even the talk of others fighting put her a little on edge.  They're going to fight again...  At least this way Dusk won't get in trouble...  Well, unless Nik beats him and makes some ridiculous demand...

Synthia looked over. Patting Rune on the back, she walked over to Dusk. She smiled at him, but the look in her eyes said she wanted to talk to him. She palmed him a note by hugging him and saying, "I'm so glad you're confident enough to stand up for yourself now!" The note read, 'Library, five minutes after I exit.' She walked out and flashed Amaya a thumbs up on het way out, heading straight for the library.

Zach smiled as Dusk declared a challenge, but was surprised by the request of his friend. "Me? A coach? I uh.... I've never really done anything like that... Are you sure?" Zach wasn't too sure what he could do for Dusk, having essentially no knowledge of Ghost types. He could try to help him pick a new move set perhaps, and possibly strategies. It could work...

Melissa stood up and left to go get some food. When she came back, she overheard Dusk issue Nik an official challenge. With a sigh she knew that it was going to end badly for Nik. Especially since Dusk had evolved. She had one final thing to ask of Nik. If he said no then that's fine with her.

"Hey Nik, is it alright if you let me help you train? Because if I'm right about this, then Dusk would be more stronger than you and since he has Zach to help him he would a lot more stronger. I specialise in speed and if you let me help you, then you'll be lot faster than you are now."

While Dustin was having an ongoing discussion with his most-likely-to-be partner Razor placed her head in her hand and wondered over whether or not to ask the only other one at the table. Still, waiting seemed like a good idea. "So I guess you two have pretty much decided to partner up, right?"

"Oki doki!" Lolita bounced over towards her boyfriend, almost slipping on a piece of trash but managed not to. "Hello there, Koh!" Of course she hadn't walked far at all, so there wasn't any need at all really for a "hello" but thats just the way she is, saying pointless things to break silence and just to say something. "Yaay poffin!" She grabbed one and took a big bite of it, "Good!"

Normally, Nik would deny it in pride. But Dusk was not one to take lightly. 

"I specialize in Special Attack and Speed, sure, I'll train with you" Nik shrugged, rummaging in his bag. With a small yank, he pulled another of his weighted coats out, this one made of Pidgey hide. "Oh yeah, I also have a strategy in mind for beating Dusk" Nik smirked

"Thanks man." Dusk said giving Zach a pat on the houser as he did so many times to him. Seeing Synthia come up towards him and spouting encouraging words we great but seeing her take off so quick was a bit off putting, especially since she left him a little net too. Meet her at the library? What did she want to talk to him about that was so urgent for a private meeting? Dusk hid the note in his scarf and cleared his throat as he turned to Amaya and Zoey once again.

 

"I don't mean to look so violent by issuing out challenges and actually fighting in battles the first day of classes...but, this isn't for me this time." Dusk said hoping they'd catch the meaning behind his actions.

 

"So...I'll see you guys later tonight? I'll bring some snacks maybe. Hang out...have a grand ole time." He said flashing a grin. He knew lunch was coming to and end and had an important meeting to attend to. He pulled down his blindfold and picked up his scarf enough to cover his mouth. He made his way towards the exit and walked out looking like a total badass...until one of his lingering bandages got caught under his step and made him trip. Stumbling a bit he caught himself and nervously walked out the cafeteria like the actual dork he was.

 

Once out if the cafeteria and shaking off any embarrassment he acquired during his trip. He headed straight for the library as intended to but with another reason.

On Ghost types .... oh boy. Dusk told me about how he had to write a paper on Normal types and I figured you had to do the same thing but with Ghost types. Okay, tell you what. You finish that paper and tomorrow we'll start training during lunch. Sound good?" Melissa swallowed as she hoped that Nik wouldn't rage at her. Especially after what happened earlier.

Synthia took out the key Delphina gave her. I'm not going over the details until I get home. Anyways, the library was now open. She waited for her new friend to show up with a smile, thinking about what they might need and might not need. She waved at him as he came into view and opened the door.

    She nodded dutifully after Zoe whispered in her ear. Stay close, got it!  She turned back to look at Dusk, already planning on ahead to fight, fight fight.

 

    Amaya laughed nervously, resting her hand against her cheek as she did so.

"He's certainly more.... Straightforward, isn't he?" She said, with a nervous, motherly 'what-will-be-will-be' sort of tone. 

"At least he won't get in trouble this way... But It would be better if he weren't so ready to fight, don't you think?" She added, echoing Zoe's thoughts as she glanced up towards her.She turned, and was about to call out to Dusk when Synthia sauntered by,  shot a dazzling thumbs up, and sashayed right out of there. Oh....What a friendly girl... By the time she turned back to him, She gave Zoe the most incredibly serious face stare ever. Hers would be the one to pierce the Heavens. And while pointing at her in a very serious manner, she said, " don't you go falling for me now." * single anime sparkle* That was the way her father had taught her to break the ice in a tense moment. Hopefully her father wouldn't let her down.  Except her serious facade cracked when Dik got his bandages caught and tripped.

    As soon as tears had sprung in the fluffy girly's eyes, Castform slipped from his girly's bag and ran off in no specific direction out of the food place and into the long rooms. He thought and thought and thought. What could a little pokemon like him do to cheer the crying girl up. No, crying was unacceptable. It meant someones heart was hurting. Hurting enough for them to show weakness. Or, you know they might have fallen down and gotten a scrape, and in that case he was taught a little 'feel better kiss' on the boo-boo made everything right as rain UvU! And Castform had been taught that under no circumstance should someone be left alone to cry. Never ever.

His girly had done the right thing by soothing the fluffy girly's heart, and he was proud of her! He must have trained her well.( C-Castform you've only known Zoe for like 10 hours what are you saying that's unreasonable)

But...what was something only he could do that could make someone smile....

*light bulb flashes on*

Suddenly, with a cute little smile, he ducked through a doorway that had been propped open, and flew out into the courtyard, sky above.

"I'll just Mind-Read Dusk in his sleep" Nik chuckled, not being entirely sarcastic. "Anyway, yes, that seems like a decent plan, no large flaws that I can see" Nik examined, looking at his Pidgey coat in the progress. He really wished he had kept some of the eggs, eating them took the edge off

"Even if you do use Mind-Read you still have to write it. He's in Dorm 2 if you're still going in that direction. I'm next to him in Dorm 3. That's not an invitation to go into my Dorm or anything it's a location .... GAH!" Melissa ran out the cafeteria door, quickly placed her book in her Dorm and headed out to find a track to run on. Seeing one that meanders through the valley and back to the school. she quickly poured on more speed and raced off down the track, following every curve and trying to not get lost.

Lhee sighs quietly, having stopped paying attention to the conversation at hand and once more staring around the cafeteria.  When Dusk had issued his challenge to Nik, it had caught Lhee's attention for a moment...  But Dusk had left soon afterwards.  Wonder if there's anything I could do to help.  Probably not.  He started letting his mind drift, and suddenly the cafeteria was starting to feel crowded to Lhee.  He was used to being alone - having this many people around him wasn't something he was used to...

 

He turns to look at Razor, and one of his eyes opens a little further than normal.  That was his equivalent of raising an eyebrow - those were long ago hidden under his skull.  "I need to take a walk or something...  I don't know.  Too many people."  Getting up without waiting to see how she'd answer, Lhee slowly turns to walk towards the door to the hallway.  Maybe the gym will be empty...

Zoey blinks, unsure of how to respond to this...  Where had that come from?  Zoey blushes ever so slightly, but it was more from the situation than from the statement...  She was confused (Just not the punch herself in the face kind). 

 

Her relief came when Amaya's serious expression broke, and Zoey starts to laugh.  With one of her ears flicking, Zoey winks at Amaya while reaching for her backpack.  "Who told you that I like girls!?  Not that it was a secret, I'm just curious how you found out..."  She picks up her bag, but suddenly Zoey's expression would go from happy to...  Well, blank, basically.  Her bag was lighter than it was supposed to be...  And the zipper was open...

 

She quickly looks down at her bag, pulling it open before holding the open bag up for Amaya to look into.  "Uh oh...  Wh...  Where's Castform?"

Zach watched Dusk leave and turned back to his two room mates. After Zoey's statement, Zach gave her a surprised look. "Hold on you're-" He stopped short when he looked at the bag and Zoey's expression. "Oh please, please tell me you left Castform in our dorm..."

Dusk approached the library and was more than relieved to find that Synthia had the key to unlock the library...but why did she have the key? That made Dusk a little more than confused. At least the door was unlocked.now ..but the librarian was nowhere to be seen, guess it was just them. Dusk entered the library right after Synthia went ahead and walked in. The place was just as he remembered it from earlier, plus there was the old aging book smell once again. It made him feel relaxed and ready to pop open on of those little sources of knowledge right from the get go...but there was still the matter at hand. What did Synthia want from him?

"Very simple, you have a paper to right that is now way more important than ever," she seemed much more serious in private. "One moment," she disappeared down an aisle of books, and came back with three thick, dusty tomes that had crisp, new sticky notes in them. "Until recently, I had been researching what was then my own type; normal. I know plenty about it. Including strength and weaknesses, meaning I'm as good a resource as any. Plus, I was personally normal type. This isn't about grades anymore, this is about a cheater who hurt my- friend. Both of them." She looked Dusk in the eyes, specifying that he was the other friend. "I don't know a lot of people here yet, but most of them seem nice enough. I was getting to know Koh and Lolita. But this is far more important. Here are my notes on the normal type." She took out the bottom most book, which was the thinnest. It turned out to be a neat, and well-organized notebook. "Should save you the time you missed fighting and evolving with me and Rune. And I am near always available. Do you have a pokegear?"

Lhee had gotten up and left after announcing he would do so. Seeing that he wasn't planning to wait for her she had a fast decision to wait and just sitting there with two friends talking to each other seemed like the worse option. She slowly rose out of her seat, stretched her arms behind her back and stuttered "I..I'm gonna go.." and walked off awkwardly. Razor felt much better getting up after sitting down for a long break. Catching up to her roommate faster than she'd expected, she thought for a second and ran ahead to him. "Lhee! I decided to go. Well not really go with you and I didn't know where you were going but I was wondering where you are going and if its like to outside that would be nice!" That came out a lot more nervous than expected. Guess I still won't get over being intimidated by Marowak.

Dusk was caught speechless by sheer amount of notes and dedication she had put through. The tomes were indeed thick, but a gold mine of information. Upon hearing her reasoning for doing all this..and that look in her eyes. It was clear to see that she was more than determine to help his cause.

 

"Thank you...I'm glad to have your support." He said smiling at her, reassuring her seriousness.

 

"Koh and Loli are amazing people, they're my roommates." He said adding that comment in as she went on to show him her notebook on the normal typing. Though once she had asked if he had a PokeGear, he reached into his scarf and pulled out a gray-colored theme PokeGear that was probably one of the older models than by today's standards. It was a small Hand Me Down from his guardian, though he didn't find too much of a use for it.

 

"Normally this would be in my Jacket pocket but....as you can see that isn't the case anym- where DID my jacket go? Evolution is weird...even by Darwin's standards...I have no idea who Darwin is either.." Clearly talking out of pure thought ramble (and the eventual further breaking of walls) He opened the PokeGear to have it booted up to add Synthia as a contact. He looked up back towards her giving a warm smile.

 

"Thanks again Synthia..this is going to help me tons."
