Dustin realized it wasn't going to be very quiet with Joshu and Dark in the room, so he quickly put his tshirt back on as well as his hoodie and walked out without saying a word. He saw a group of kids in the hallway as well as the Ninjask janitor guy. He walked in the direction of where he figured the Lounge would be and was lucky enough to find it. He saw Razor talking to a girl he hadn't seen before, as well as some other background characters cuz the student body needs to be large. He sat down on an empty chair somewhat near the two girls and closed his eyes, enjoying the somewhat quiet of the lounge (Or whatever we called it). 

 

Samantha noticed a Sandshrew Gijinka walk in to the common room and take a seat on an empty chair. She leaned over the arm of the couch and poked the ear of his hoodie. "So. What's your name." She said. "I'm getting the feeling you want to say something but are waiting for the opportunity to say it. Go ahead, I won't bite."

Raiga simply tilts his head slightly, the comic book reference going right over his head.  He'd never read a comic book before - he knew what they were, but the monks at the tower had never given him one.  He was merely speaking from his own lessons when he was younger.  "I do not have children.  It is probable that I never will."

 

He turns to Dusk when the Dusclops gijinka starts to speak, then turns to look down the hallway towards Jonathan.  "You're right, we're being discourteous.  I hadn't intended to intrude upon you, please, enjoy the rest of your evening."  Raiga's lips twitch slightly as he looks over the other students he'd just met.  "It is difficult to tell due to my teeth, but I am smiling."  Chuckling quietly, Raiga turns to walk down the hall, his cloak billowing slightly as he starts to let the built up static discharge from his arm back into the air.  It is late, but perhaps not too late for a run.  A fast one, anyways.

 

As Raiga was speaking, Zoey had just smiled and shrugged at Nico.  "Not usually.  I mean, some of them do, but most of them turn out different.  It's because I'm a Zorua...  My powers with illusions kick in even when I don't want them to.  Anyways, I was just curious, it's far too late to be talking about stuff like moves or homework..."  Suddenly Zoey's ears perk up and her eyes go wide as she mentions homework, and she quickly spins around to grab Dusk's arm.  

 

"HOMEWORK!  Dusk, I missed over half my classes today because I was out looking for Castform!"  Also because she had a mental breakdown after Battle Class, but she was leaving that part out on purpose.  "Let me copy your notes!  Pleeeease!?"

Dustin felt his ear get touched and he twitched before opening his eyes. The girl Razor had been talking to was now talking to him, and he hadn't exactly been prepared for it. "Oh! Um, my name's Dustin. Yours?" He gave a sort of sheepish smile. Once again his amazing social skills had taken over while he was in a pickle. Good job Dustin's social skills.

"My name's Samantha." She said. "So it looks like you're a sandshrew? Neat. I'm a Porygon Z." Samantha said, twitching slightly. Another muscular malfunction. Perfect timing when talking with a fairly timid stranger. 'Terrific, now he's going to think you're insane.' she thought to herself. "So, what's up?"

Dustin nodded slowly, taking notice of her twitch but barely making any notion of doing so. "Nice to meet you Samantha. And yea, I'm a Sandshrew. Porygon Z... That's interesting..." I'll have to look that up later... "I guess there isn't much going on for me. Just wanted to come some place a little quieter than my dorm. Even if they're not being that loud, it's not the greatest in a small room."

"I may be able to help you, Zoey but it would be sometime tomorrow. I'm going to be in the Common Room." He figured he may as well be there, he's not going to get any sleep any time soon. He got off the wall and walked to the Common Room. He sighed when he saw Samantha and a few other students he didn't recognise. He found a place that was relatively shadowy and sat down with his legs up to his chest.

"Well, if your dorm-mates are a bit loud, I can see why someone would want to get out." Samantha said. "So, are you new here this year? I've noticed that there's a disproportionately large freshman class this year." She explained. "I, myself, am a second-year. I know my way around here, but I haven't been here as long as some of the other kids."

Dustin nodded. "Like I said, they're not too loud, but it's a little inconvenient in a small environment. But yea, I'm new here, although I'm actually a Junior, or a third-year." He mentioned the second part due to some people calling school titles different things in different places. "I was kind of homeschooled until I found out about this place." Dustin left out the part where he had home schooled himself, due to the village he grew up in being fairly small. He spent a large amount of time going to the city and reading in the library when he was small.

"Ah, I see. So you were homeschooled then? Unless there's another gijinka school out there, which I'm not a hundred percent sure that there is." Samantha noted. "Either way, that's pretty cool. All of my previous 'schooling' per-se was just... well... downloaded in to my head. That's the cool thing about being part-human, part-pokemon, part-robot. You get the body of a human, the abilities of a pokemon, and the abilities of a machine."

Nik blanched as he saw the janitor. 

 

"BALLS!" Nik shrieked, running off fast enough to leave a dust trail behind him. Apparently constantly teleporting hadn't made him unable to run. Nik leaped up, digging his claws into the wall and leaping onto the roof.

 

"Huff....huff, heh, if this were horror, he'd appear right behind me" Nik panted

Dustin nodded at Samantha's question and then began to ponder what she said afterward. Part Human, part Pokemon, part robot? She was an android of sorts? That's quite intriguing. I'll have to look that up later as well... Man she's definitely pretty interesting.

"Hey, you okay?" Dusk asked a little concerned. Maybe the sleepiness was finally hitting her, it had been a long day after all and he couldn't blame her.

Raiga frowns slightly when he sees Zach and Amaya's reactions, then blinks and shakes his head.  He was honestly ashamed it had taken him as long as it did for him to realize what was happening - it had been the same back home in the tower.  The Hoothoots and Noctowls that nested in the rafters would scatter in his presence, and when he would walk through the gardens the Goldeen in the ponds would rush to the deepest waters.

 

"My apologies - I did not mean to cause any discomfort."  Without waiting for a response Raiga quickly clasps his hands together in a strange gesture, almost as though it were some kind of obscure prayer, and shuts his eyes.  As he uses Calm Mind, the buzz of electrical energy in the air seems to diminish.  At the same time the two claw-like growths coming out of his left wrist began to glow with a soft blue light, as though the electricity around him was being concentrated there.  In fact it reached the point where you could visibly see the bolts of electricity arcing between the two claws - but the electricity in the air would have diminished immensely.

 

"Is that any better?  If not, I can leave.  I have no desire to cause discontent."  Raiga bows his head slightly, unclasping his hands from the gesture he had been holding them in as he does.  The electricity stays centered around his left wrist, though as he lets his arm fall back to his side it does start to travel a short ways up his exposed left arm.  It's starting to become a little more apparent why his robe would be missing a left sleeve...

 

As all of this is happening Zoey giggles quietly, looking at both Raiga and Nico in curiosity.  The thought popped into her head that if she was going to be forced to battle, she may be able to get some pointers from Nico being another dark type...  But now didn't feel like a good time to ask, and there was the likely possibility that anything he suggested wouldn't be compatible with her illusions anyways.  This new guy talks kinda funny...  I mean sheesh, he sounds like he'd slip into a lecture easier than one of the professors would...

 

She smiled dismissively, as if it were nothing. But, it wasn't the most convincing smile, after all, she was cringing all the while.

"I'm fine, fine... Just a little sensitive to the-..." Words fell from her lips and the rest of her sentence drifted off as the electric presence seemed to lift from the air. "-..Electricity?" The pressure against her head and the dizziness faded. She turned to Raiga with a curious and awed look. How did he...!

To have so much power, and so much control over it....This must be the power of a legendary pokemon! 

So cool!

 

And not only that, but he carried a certain refined air around himself that made him seem even cooler.

"Oh! No no. This is much better, thank you for worrying Senpai~" She answered, doting him in that soft voice of hers. It wasn't until now that she noticed Nico or Nik. She raise her hand, waving at Nico with a tentative smile, but at the sight of Nik, she took a step back towards Dusk, almost hiding behind him. She rested her small hands around his arm. It looked like she was ready to try and throw him if Nik got close or something outrageous like that, but really she was just trying to stay safe.

 

Nik was like Discord from the cartoon her little brother would watch, My Little Pokemons: Friendship is Magic. Where ever he went, thing tended to get a little hectic. Chaotic even.

Dusk and Jonathan

 

As Zoey grabbed his arm he sort of snapped away from his overall feeling of unease and merely smiled as his friend broke the atmosphere. Copy his notes? He'd do a little scolding of his own since she skipped classes, but he knew it was for a good reason...probably. However, before he began to speak he remembered Synthia's words echoing in his head stating a very important item she had recommended to him. He tried multiple times to bring it up with Zoey but there were always complications. Now he can use this to his advantage! He grinned slightly and cleared his throat turning his expression to one of teasing seriousness.

 

"Alright Zoey, I'll let you copy my notes...but on one condition....you have to help me obtain a leather jacket." Dusk said as his expression turned into smiles.

 

"We'll discuss the details on the way to the dorms, but let's skedaddle for now." Dusk said as he looked back up at the janitor still very much down the hall staring. Dusk attempted to talk to the janitor, though it was hard to refrain his voice from cracking out of nervousness.

 

"We're going sir, sorry for the hold up!..." Dusk said followed by a small gulp as he waited for some kind of confirmation.

 

Jonathan stood there with his eyes still fixated in one location...however a small nudge from the Shedinja sitting atop of his head made him blink and shake his head....followed by a small yawn.

 

"Eh...?...Sorry...must of dozed off there...." Jon said as he rubbed his eyes.

 

".....Wha..." Dusk replied his mouth open in disbelief.

A Porygon? I haven't seen one of those before except from pictures. And I've never seen a Porygon Z before, sounds more advanced. Razor waved at Dustin as he was welcomed into her and Samantha's conversation. "This is also my first year here, I went to a small school when I was a little kid. I know most gijinka have a hard time in schools for mostly fully human children, but I don't think I ever really had one, which I guess is good." Razor actually didn't remember, she hadn't been to a school in a long time but they didn't need to know that her family would never pay for her a full education. Her mother didn't think she deserved to go to a school "for humans." "I'm glad I got to go here though! I'm really grateful for my dad, paying my way here and all." She smiled and tried not to feel any longing for home.

"I can't say for the whole group, but the dried foods Rune brought are really cool!" Lolita had eaten some in camping trips previous, but it had been awhile. "We could have those and.. did you say.. smores?! I love smores! Those are a camping necessity also!" Lolita took one marshmellow out of the already open back and put it in her mouth. Sweet!

Zoey

Zoey's ears had started to droop a little when Dusk had mentioned a condition attached to letting her copy his notes, but her face is soon split with a wide grin and her ears perk back up when he says what it is.  Chasing after him as they start going back down the hall towards the dorms, Zoey grabs Dusk's arm and holds it out as though trying to estimate his measurements.

 

"What, is that all!?  Duskie, clothes shopping isn't a condition for me, it's something I'd do for fun!  First we'll need to figure out what size you'll want, I mean you're kinda bigger than you were when you were a Duskull...  Oh, and what style are you thinking?  I don't know if a punk biker jacket fits your style...  But don't worry, there are tons of styles, we'll look some up on my laptop while I copy down your notes!  Oh, maybe there will be a clothing store in town, we'll be able to get it this weekend!  Ooo, do we have to stop at just the jacket?  We could get like, an entire wardrobe while we're at it!"

 

Granted, what was going through Zoey's head was liable to bankrupt poor Dusk if he let her pick out everything she was imagining for him, but that thought wouldn't occur to her until later.  Right now she was having far too much fun with just the thought of it.  "Oh, oh, I have an idea!  Back home I used to personalize some of my own things, you know, to make 'em kinda custom.  When we decide on a jacket you HAVE to let me work with it for a little bit before you wear it!  I promise, no bows."  She giggles quietly at the last comment, different designs and ideas already flashing through her mind.

 

 

Raiga

 

Raiga found his way back outside after leaving the small group, taking a brief look around the school grounds.  He hadn't managed to find a running track, but that was okay - he actually preferred it when there wasn't one.  Just a lap or two around the school...  Or maybe over the school.  Chuckling quietly, the Raikou gijinka crouches down right there by the door before taking off with a sudden flash.  He wasted no time in picking up speed - when he went for a run he ran, using Quick Attack to boost his speed even more.

 

Raiga's fur started to glow slightly in the darkening night, his speed high enough that he was starting to build up static against the air.  The small sparks were having trouble keeping up with him, and as such it left a faint trail of light a second or two behind him.  As he turns the first corner he starts to run straight towards what seemed to be a tool shed in the school yards.  Running straight at it he jumps at the last second, grabbing the edge of the roof to the small shed and pulling himself up on top of it.  Vaulting off the other side, he rolls as he lands and doesn't miss a beat.

 

He'd always enjoyed free running like this.  The legends had told him that the legendary beasts, Raikou Entei and Suicune, ran all across Johto...  It likely had something to do with the pokemon his powers came from, or so the monks had reasoned.  As he nears the next corner Raiga starts to laugh.  There weren't a lot of obstacles by going around the perimeter of the school, but he was still having fun.

Nik saw Raiga from his place on the roof. "Typical electric type, fast" Nik commented, having calmed down. He was 99% sure that the psycho janitor hadn't seen him. Nik leaped down from the roof, gliding in using Fly. Raiga was agile too, jumping over sheds and what not. Nik needed to keep tabs on him, that was for sure. He fired off a Leech Seed, hoping this spy wouldn't die

Nico had accidentally eavesdropped on the conversation and realised he didnt wan't any part of it. He got up from his spot in the clorner and headed back to the Dorm. Once there, he changed into pyjama pants only and laid down in bed. He looked up at the dark ceiling and thought about all that has happened to him today.

"I mean, I know it would be weird for a gijinka to go to a human school, we'd have to deal with bullying and all that kind of crap, but I don't think it would be that bad, especially with your parents."

 

Rune and Koh

 

"Well, we could have hot dogs on the fire if you wanted. I wouldn't mind just sitting around the fire either." Rune suggested. "We can eat, and then shoot off the fireworks." Koh chimed in with "Or we could do both. The sun's almost down, I can set them up and fire them off while you guys cook, and I can douse them in case anything goes awry." He suggested.

You see, my dad is the one good member of the family. He's the one that took me into the house and adopted me, but my mother and grandparents never really fully supported a.. mixed child." Razor said, sounding stronger than she was about the situation, withholding any tears easily. It wasn't very hard for her to fight sadness and with her being in a group of new friends who might actually care about her, why would she be too sad?  "So I'm not missing Solaceon Town where I'm from, but i'd be nice to hear from my dad at some point." Razor was a daddy's girl, so it seemed. He was always the one that protected her from her mother's hateful words and punishments and told her she was beautiful when her mother told her she was a monster.

"I see... I never really had that problem in my family at least. My, well... Let's just call them upgrades, were what made me part pokemon." Samantha stated. "I was more of a guinea pig. See, my dad worked for Sarif Industries as a higher-up scientist, and my mom worked at Silph. Silph actually developed Porygon and the Up-grade, which evolves Porygon in to Porygon 2. Sarif made the disk that makes a Porygon 2 evolve, and for some reason, they thought that the glitches Porygon Z experiences would have a different effect on a man-made gijinka. Turns out, they were wrong. I still have the occasional glitch, but I can generally either power through it or just download a temporary fix if it ends up being really bad. That combined with having to use Neuropyzene to keep my body from rejecting the upgrades, and I am fairly dependent on Sarif. Luckily, considering how much swing my dad has in the company, getting the fixes or Neuropyzene isn't a huge problem. I never asked for this, but I can't say I don't like it."

I mean.. do you have to deal with lagging?" Lag, Razor knew about what effects lag had on her everytime she tried to play some online game on her laptop. 

 

(I don't know how many people know about the jumpeon)

 

"Well, only when I interface with..." Samantha stopped herself. She didn't want to go too far in to tech speak and confuse her new friends. "Only when I play online games myself. I can actually connect with the internet and kind of become part of it. All Porygon and their evolutions can do that. So if I'm ever sitting at a computer and I have something plugged in to the back of my head, don't try talking to me, just type something on the keyboard, and whatever you do, don't unplug me." she stressed. "That happened by accident once before and I got trapped inside of the internet for days. I had to wander around cyberspace until I could find a program that would let me send a message to Sarif to get me back in to my body proper. Luckily I just had dinner before I inter... er... connected with the computer so when I came out of it, the organic parts of my body hadn't died. I was terribly hungry and thirsty though. I was lucky enough to find something by the second day. And when you are in cyberspace, you don't need to sleep, so I was spending about 36 hours searching. I did get distracted a couple of times. It is a wondrous place, but if you don't take proper precautions, it can get very dangerous." Samantha explained. "So yes, the glitches are part of being a Porygon Z, but what is this Jumpeon you're talking about? Is it a kind of eeveelution?"

I spend half my time on the internet just watching anime and the other half playing games." she told her. "But that's a pretty neat feature being able to carry around your own internet connection all the time!" Razor wanted to sound somewhat smart like she knew what she was talking about but she didn't actually know a bunch of computer terms. But maybe sounding less knowledgeable would lead Dustin to look less bored and be more able to join in the conversation! "I'm glad you were able to get out, though. I think I'd have panicked in that situation!"

"Well, I don't have a connection all the time, per se, but if there is a computer in front of me, I have a cable that I carry with me that I can connect in to any functioning USB port and then a little port in the back of my head." She said, lifting her hair to show a somewhat wide but not very deep, circular hole. "Then I can get in to the computer that way. I can actually use it to hack a few things too if I need to, but I've only been able to do that in tests back at the labs." She chuckled. "I'm sure most people would have panicked, but then again, most people haven't been able to connect to a computer and literally enter cyberspace, so there's that." She turned to Dustin. "So, what do you think you would do if you were able to connect to the computer and enter cyberspace?" She asked. 'Actually, that's something I might want to see if others can experience. Without having to get a port in the back of their heads that is. I'm sure the doctors back at Sarif are working on that actually, or at least making it so the port would be less obtrusive for guys and girls with shorter hair.' Samantha thought.

Synthia shrugs, and continues setting up the fire. She puts her stick in the kindling and begins starting the fire. The lack of wind helps as she quickly turns her twig. The kindling begins burning up, as she sets some of the larger peices in a specific pattern over the fire.
